Welcome to Outreach! We hope you will take a few minutes to view this DVD and become familiar with our many projects at Nativity. The Outreach Committee is charged with responding to the needs of those outside our parish family. In addition to basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing, we see our scope as addressing a variety of other needs. The Adult Learning Center, for example, assists those interested in learning to read and those preparing to take the GED. We have “adopted” the residents of the Russell Erskine apartments and provide fellowship projects to make their lives more pleasant. This year we started Greene Street Market, offering local growers a place to sell their wares and offering the community a wonderful place to spend a summer Thursday evening. The Outreach Committee is open to any and all who share our passion for working to make things better. Please join us, the first Tuesday of each month, when we meet to discuss our projects. Care Assurance System for the Aging and Homebound is a non-profit agency located in Huntsville, Alabama that provides services to individuals age 60 and older and to the homebound (wheelchair and bed bound) of all ages. Our programs are designed to enable the elderly and homebound to maintain their independence, dignity, health and safety by providing services that specifically address their special physical and emotional needs.

Mobile Soup Kitchen
Nativity parishioners, including our youth group, join others in the community to staff the mobile soup kitchen. The mobile kitchen serves a hot meal from three locations in the downtown area each Monday-Friday evening.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR FOSTER CHILDENThanks and thanks again to everyone who made it possible for a foster child to have Christmas gifts!Those who attended the 8:45 service on 5 December enjoyed a wonderful procession with beautifully wrapped gifts and bicycles. Your generosity will bring joy to 40 foster children this Christmas! Ronnie and I never cease to be amazed by the generosity of the Christians who worship at Nativity.
