Welcome to our 9th Annual Right Cross Ranch Bull Sale. 10 years ago we moved to little old Kisbey, SK and put together the foundation for what would be Right Cross Ranch. Our goal then, as it is now, was to raise sound, functional cattle in a “real world” scenario. With a workforce of just the two of us and our kids, these cattle MUST work for us. We cull our cows hard; we do not have time for problem udders, poor feet, or bad attitudes and we feel the bull pen reflects this.

Over the past 10 years we’ve gotten more support than we ever dreamed possible. Through selling bulls, we’ve formed a circle of friends that push us forward and encourage us to keep striving to do the best we can. In uncertain times, it’s our responsibility to help provide you with the bull that best suites your needs. We encourage you to watch the videos that will be available on our new website, TEAM, Buyagro, and Facebook and ask questions so we can guide you to a bull that’s best for you and your herd. We’d love to tour you through the offering and show you their dams anytime before the sale. We will be taking measures to make sure our facility is as safe as possible come sale day. We’d love to see the whole family another day, but on April 20th, so that we can stay within provincial guidelines, please send only your main herdsman/woman. If your interested in our program and choose not to attend sale day, the sale will be broadcast on TEAM or take advantage of our sight unseen purchase program. Give us or any one of our sales staff a call and we would be happy to give you an honest appraisal of the bulls. If you do choose to join us for roast beef at noon, we will have individually wrapped lunch plates, dessert plates, and cutlery available.

RIGHT CROSS RANCH NUTRITION: Right Cross Ranch has a strong focus on nutrition and management for their growing bulls and entire cow herd. Each ration is balanced based on feed analysis and goals for each set of cattle. The bull rations are formulated with 20% coarse chopped hay to encourage cud chewing, a healthy rumen and longevity. Coarsely rolled barley or corn grain provides energy to optimize growth. Cereal silage and a custom formulated bull supplement rounds out the bull rations. From the Desk at T Bar.... Welcome to the 9th Annual Right Cross Ranch Angus Bull Sale on April 20th at their ranch facility headquarters, Kisbey, Saskatchewan. Each year, Jim and Sarah present their crop of Red and Black yearling bulls. This hardworking couple run a large purebred operation, in addition to grassing and breeding Angus influence heifers for their fall sale. Since labor time is premium, they run the herd ranch style. Always concerned about soundness and longevity, they have selected and propagated bloodlines strong in those traits. Calving ease is always on their minds without sacrificing performance and the bulls come to you with high maternal values so that you can feel good about your replacements. Check out this picture! 169G has the herd bull look from front to back. He’s got a big hip, is wide over the top, yet smooth shouldered, has good feet with straight toes, and goes back to a consistent EXT cow. We calved out his full sister earlier this year. We always get rave reviews on the Ambush bulls offered out of our 10Y son. He throws calves that won’t sink the scale yet seem to have enough growth and shape to keep up to the group. The females are long bodied, good footed, and nice uddered.

Decepticon was our high selling yearling from our April 2017 sale to Rodgers Red Angus. We kept a semen interest for our own use because he has so many good attributes to add to our herd. He’s out of the Freyja cow family; one of our favorites! Decepticon weaned off as the heaviest bull in the pen with a ratio of 122. Here’s a bull that’s got genetics that are tried, tested, and true. We lost 130G’s dam this summer and Lot 29 basically raised himself. We’re pretty upset that we didn’t get the chance to flush Beaulah 43R; she was one of the best.
