- Practices start mid September- We will be running the following sports in the fall

season (NJSIAA season 1)- Football- Soccer (Boys, Girls)- Tennis (Girls)- Cross Country (Boys, Girls)- Fall Cheerleading- Field Hockey

- Please note that Girls Volleyball and Gymnastics are scheduled to run in Season 3.

Block Schedule- Each day will have 4, 60

minute blocks

- The first block of each day will have an extra 15 minutes for home room/ announcements/ TigerTV

- There is a built in 5 minute break between classes

- Science Labs will still run during Physical Education

Expectations & Goals• Attendance :

• Be prompt.• It is imperative that you log onto Genesis

for your attendance to be counted for EACH CLASS.

• Being absent and/or tardy negatively impact your academic performance due to loss of classroom instruction time.

• Chronic absenteeism/tardiness can result in loss of credits and denial of other school privileges.

• 18 Absences = loss of credit for the course

Expectations & Goals• Code of Conduct (HIB Policy), Make a

Difference & Be Part of a Positive Change Be on your best behavior by respecting the staff, your peers, report incidents of HIB and focusing on your academics.

● Code of Ethics- You are expected to monitor and manage your behavior, attitude and activity that prohibits cheating on schoolwork, fabricating your work, plagiarism, unauthorized use of resources and any other disruptions of the learning process for you and others.

Expectations & Goals● Dress Accordingly

○ School is an educational institution where students are expected to dress accordingly.

○ Students should be covered from the shoulders down.

○ This includes, but not limited to only not allowed to wear low cut/halter, spaghetti strap tops, bandanas or scarves on/around the head, clothing with derogatory images or writing, no pajamas, etc.

○ Please refer to the 2020 SPHS Student Handbook (pages 28-29) for more information in full deatil.

Expectations & Goals

● Get Involved! – Join a team, club, organization, extracurricular program and meet with your teachers for extra help. Focus on your studies. Extra help is provided at the end of your instructional day, except Wednesdays. Talk to your teachers to schedule a time to receive extra help.

REMOTE LEARNING EXPECTATIONS

- Attendance is mandatory to receive credit for class. This means students are on time, logged on by the appropriate time, checked in virtually, and is visible on camera.

- It is the STUDENT’S responsibility to check in their attendance for class and log on to the teacher’s Google Classroom at the appropriate time.

CAMERA ETIQUETTE- Your video should be on so that the teacher

can see you during instruction, not just the top of the student’s head or half of their face.

- A student can only be excused from having their camera on during virtual instruction after they have arranged PRIOR to not going on camera to have a meeting with the administration to discuss their concerns. Only an administrator can grant an excusal.

- Students are expected to dress appropriately for school following our dress code, and have a clean, school appropriate background.
