Welcome from Tournament DirectorWhy not join us in May 2015 for the 4th Terenure 13s - the ultimate European Youth Rugby Festival for the 13s age group.

In 2012 we began something very spe-cial, with Canet St. Marie from France winning the inaugural tournament. In 2013, the cup came home with a Teren-ure side taking the title. In 2014, the cup travelled to Portugal with Belenenses from Lisbon, taking the top spot.

Our objective is to become the biggest and best Tournament at this age group in Europe. 2015 will be another import-ant step on that journey.

If you’d like to be part of it, why not join us? You’ll be glad you did.

Tournament FormatFULL SIZE PITCHES | LOTS OF GAME TIMEThe primary aim of the Terenure 13s organisers is the promotion of fun, enjoyment and a love of all things rugby. And while quality of rugby is important, so too is the ideal of “fair play” and this is encouraged strongly.

Going on tour provides a rare and exciting opportunity for players, coaches and supporters to hone their talents, build team morale and develop friendships that last a lifetime. Participating teams will have the opportunity to compete against teams from different parts of Europe, thus allowing them to embrace different languages, cul-tures and styles of rugby first hand.

Eligibility: All players must be under 13 according to the age rules of your country’s governing rugby union/federation.

In 2015, the organisers are tar-geting a maximum of 24 teams - a relatively low number to maximise game time for all players. All games are played on full-sized pitches with fully accredited IRFU referrees and touch judges.

On Saturday, May 2nd all teams will play in a pool competition, with each team going forward to a streamed knock-out competition featuring cup, shield and plate on Sunday, May 3rd.

All teams will be given the max-imum amount of game time with the minimum amount of down time. This is our guarantee to all compet-ing teams!

Social InformationFOOD | ACCOMMODATION | ENTERTAINMENTThe rugby site will feature ample catering facilities in the tournament marquee, and will be supplemented by the club’s own bar and catering facilities. Practically all tastes will be catered for, from snacks, burgers, hot dogs, and confectionery; to soft drinks, beers and wine.

The event is also supported by local shops, restaurants and pubs in the Teren-ure area, all part of the “I Love Terenure” group, with many of these just a short walk away, particularly if you are after a more extensive or ethnic food offer, such as Italian, Indian, Thai or Chinese, or just a hearty steak house or local pub – and there are lots of the latter!

While the organisers do not provide ac-commodation directly for visiting teams, they will be only too happy to assist any team or travelling group in this regard. Terenure is very well located, within 5

kilometres of Dublin’s city centre, and as such close to any accommodation requirement. For those on a tight budget, there are several large hostels recommended, with prices less than €10 per person per night.

Of course there are lots of budget and more luxurious hotel options available locally too, whatever the requirement. Please call us if you would like a specific recommendations.Outside of rugby there will be lots of fun and entertainment for all visitors.

This includes:

Friday, 1st May - Irish Music and Dance NightSaturday, 2nd May - Band & Disco*

* Note: The Saturday night marquee event is for over 18s only. Other activities (for under 18s ) TBA

I have coached Mini Rugby over the last 7 years and have attended many Rugby festi-vals but I must say “hand on heart” that your tournament beats them all. Johnny Vaughan, Bective Rangers FC.

Thank you for your hospitality this weekend. Thanks to the families who hosted our play-ers. Congratulations for the flawless organisation of this great challenge. Con-gratulations on the victory of your great team. Soon, hopefully for next tournament...Georges, Fabrice, US Canet - Ste Marie XV, France

Your tournament was just so much more friendly than any I have attended in the last dozen years as a mini and mini coach, which was down entirely to the good people of Ireland. The tournament was really well organised.Robbie Dalziel, Coach Marr, Scotland

Many thanks again for what was a very en-joyable weekend of rugby – for parents and boys ... the high quality of the food, the high standard of the rugby and ... the standard of

rugby in the international match. I’ll definitely be recommending that next year’s Win-chester U13s return to Terenure and ensure they fly in the night before to make the most of the Friday night entertainment and the rugby on Saturday.James Shannon, Winchester RFC, England

I think we at Wilmslow do make excellent tourists! However it does take at least two to tango and you, your organising commit-tee and all the people at Terenure should be especially proud of your achievements in organising the best festival I have have attended. Thanks again for your hospitality and I hope that the festival will go from strength to strength.Simon, Wilmslow RFC, England

Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend of rugby. Our guys had a great time, made new friends and learnt some new things along the way! We really enjoyed every minute of the Festival and would like to congratulate Terenure RFC on running it so well. Hopefully next year we will see you all again.Brian O’Carroll, Chairman, West Offaly Lions Rugby Club
