Welcome to the first Bi-Annual Meeting
August 4, 2016
About AMP SoCalWe are a partnership that collaborates across government, academia and industry, to strengthen the Southern California A&D manufacturing economy through provision of the tools, talent, and capacity to master the future. AMP SoCal is focused on the southernmost ten counties in California, a federally designated Investing in Manufacturing Community Partnership (IMCP) region.
An IMCP designation carries the advantage of preferential access to $1.3 billion in Economic Development Administration funding, which has been allocated toward bolstering the economic
ecosystem of manufacturing across the country.
Federal IMCP DesignationAMP SoCal is among the nation’s first federally designated regions of the Economic Development Administration’s Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP) initiative, it was selected from more than 70 applications as one of only 12 initial IMCP communities.
