• Sensitizing students about the complexity of rural society, factorsinfluencing rural realities, interface between various sectors andinteraction between the state, market and society in production ofdevelopment,

• Impart the blend of a cutting edge knowledge of modern managementscience and skills, critical thinking and practices needed for rational,equitable and effective planning for utilization and management of humanand other valuable scarce resources, from micro (grass-roots) to macrolevels

• To train students in application of appropriate knowledge and technology,and develop among them a critical talent and wisdom to analyze and planholistically and rationally with a humane approach.

Sustainability is today’s urgency. We at the Faculty ofSustainability Studies empower students to act on the world’stop problems, finding long-term and sustainable solutions.

We offer a unique M.Sc. program in Ecology, Society &Sustainable Development through the School of Ecology &Environmental Management. Ecological and environmentalissues can be solved when the solutions balance people,profit, and planet. This is the first-of-its-kind course in Indiathat integrates wildlife sciences, conservation biology, socialsciences, and sustainability.

We have well-equipped young faculty and several eminentvisiting faculties making learning exciting for the studentswho are passionate about making a positive impact.
