World Geography Bowl - 2008

Bowl MethodsToss up questions:

As the question is being read, the first person to “buzz in” may try to answer the question. If they are correct they receive the points and the game proceeds to the next question. If they are wrong, then the rest of the question is read and is shown on the screen and a member from the other team has a chance to answer the question. There is no team assistance on any toss up questions.

Team questions:At the end of the toss-up round each team will have a chance to answer a team question. Unlike the toss up questions, all team members assist on answering the question, usually a list of things. Once the team provides the answer they receive points for each correct answer. If they did not have a complete answer, then the other team has a chance and if they name any correct answers that the other team did not, then they get points for those correct answers. Then the other team gets a team questions and if all of the answers are not correct the first team gets a try.
