Introduction

• We are here to exchange information & improve our knowledge on detectors suitable to use for measuring small distances very precisely ~ few microns

• Under our umbrella is everything from decays of elementary particles such as B mesons, to medical imaging to telescopes

Structure

• Talks are 20 min – Don’t run over your time. There are an additional 10 min for questions & discussion

• There will be a Poster Session today before dinner. Please feel free to speak with the presenters, who should be present. (The posters will stay up through Tuesday)

Breaks• We expect people also to get together

at breakfast, coffee breaks & dinner, that are all provided

• At lunch we encourage you to engage in more in depth discussions, if possible, with a smaller group at one of many restaurants in town or at the hotel– or pick up a sandwich and enjoy a walk– or reserve a tennis court at the hotel desk– or use the pool & gym

Dinners• Monday – Here Grandview B after Poster Session• Tuesday - Choose one of three restaurants:

Mackenzie's, Veranda or Boat House. They are open from 6 pm to 9 pm. Make reservation at main desk

• Wednesday – Camp Majano Barbeque, after the excursion. Please be near the Hotel entrance at 4:30 - 5 pm for the trolley shuttle to the boat

• Thursday - Gala final dinner at the Golf House restaurant. Reception starts after the last session with dinner following.

• Remember to dress warmly when going out in the evening, or up in the mountains

• Meal selection tickets for tonight & Thursdays Gala dinner were provided by us. If you didn’t choose already….well its too late

• Please sign up for an excursion (at the registration table) if you haven’t done so already. People going to Mt. Joe (closed) or Cobble hill will get a lunch box & the end of the morning session
