Welcome to Weis Library !
Part 1: Location ● Mission ● Motto ● Access
August 2016
Located in Building 2, Weis Library is the main library on the
campus of Washington Adventist University.
The library is named after
Theofield G. Weis (1901-
1971), who served as its
library director from 1931
to 1967.
The library’s mission is to support the learning community
of WAU by providing information resources and services
for students, faculty, and staff that sustain excellence in
education and service.
The library’s motto – Where
Excellence Is Sustained – is
a reminder that it exists to
support educational quality.
Through Weis Library, students, faculty, and staff can access
over 665,000 print and digital information resources to meet
their research needs.
There are four easy ways to contact the library and access
its information resources…
1) You can visit the library to meet with library staff and
use library resources.
2) You can telephone the
library to obtain information
or assistance.
3) You can email questions,
requests, and comments to
library staff.
4) You can go online and access information with a computer
or device.
