Program OverviewFastStart includes four important learning and training stages.

Each stage moves you closer to your new practice, and your

personal and professional goals.

I. Initial Situation Analysis ReviewAt Williams Group, we view consulting much like patient care.

We know every practice – like every patient – is unique. We be-

gin our partnership by learning about you, your goals, and your

market. By taking the time to understand your situation, we can

provide more effective and more customized expertise.

II. PlanningOnce we understand your goals, we will work with you on

establishing a comprehensive plan and timeline that will take

you through all of the planning stages. We will work through

site selection, branding, equipment, inventory, and the other

important components of establishing your new practice.

III. Executive TrainingOnce you are close to opening your doors, you will attend our

three-day Executive Training workshop, which is an immer-

sion in learning how to manage a productive eyecare practice.

At Executive Training, you learn from Williams Group trainers,

including ODs, MBAs, finance experts, marketing and public

relations specialists, and more. The workshop includes presenta-

tions, interactive exercises, training, and hands-on application.

4Optimizing fee structures: Understand your chair costs,

overhead, and contribution margin and how they should

influence your fees.

4Controlling and balancing inventory: Learn best

practices in merchandising, pricing, cost of goods sold,

and customer service.

4Marketing to internal and external audiences:

Understand how to influence perceptions of value, increase

patient retention, maximize revenue-per-patient, and grow

B. ImplementationWhether you are starting a new practice or purchasing an exist-

ing practice, our consultants will help you implement Williams

Group principles and techniques to give your new practice a

solid foundation. During the implementation phases, we will

help you develop a marketing plan and establish a budget so

you can monitor and control expenses right from the begin-

ning. We will work with your staff on telephone technique and

perform mystery shop observations by phone. Performed with

a spirit of teamwork and positive reinforcement, this stage is

critical in ensuring your new practice management approach is

reaping optimal results.

Our GuaranteeAt Williams Group, we have worked with many eyecare practice

owners over the years – and we know our program works. We

are confident that you will not be disappointed with the results

states that if upon completion of Executive Training (completed

60 to 90 days after opening your practice), you decide that

You will leave Executive Training with a comprehensive and

user-friendly manual that contains proprietary techniques,

procedures, and insights all designed to help you improve your

practice. The program manual also contains numerous tools,

resources, scripts, and training procedures that are invaluable as

you move into implementation. Sample forms, questionnaires,

and workbooks are also included.

IV. Consulting RelationshipAt Williams Group, we know that thoughtful implementation is

the key to successful change. After attending Executive Training,

you will work closely with your Williams Group consultant

to implement the programs, procedures, and analytics needed

to get your practice started on the right track. Regularly

scheduled one-on-one calls with our consultants will focus

continuously on your goals and monthly projects as well as

work through any practice issues that arise. This personalized

approach ensures proper implementation and solidifies your

management and marketing training. In addition to ongoing

collaboration and problem solving, the consulting relationship

also includes these two components:

A. Materials DevelopmentIt is essential that you educate your patients and promote the

valuable services that your practice provides. Williams Group

works with you and your staff to develop key marketing mate-

rials. An initial supply of three important pieces for our patient

referral program will be provided, as well as a few customiz-

able templates for additional materials. By working with your

local printer, you will be able to produce high quality literature

simply and easily. Importantly, Williams Group will provide

insight and expertise to ensure you have an effective portfolio

of marketing materials, which is critical to practice success.
