Welcome Happy Father’s Day On this Father’s Day Sunday we wish to extend to all of our Fathers a special word of thanks and appreciation. New dads, old dads, granddads, dads-in-law, stepdads, serious dads, goofball dads…there must be a million fatherly types out there, and without a doubt, there are at least that many reasons to honor them on Father’s Day. As part of our Father’s Day service, we will be having a baby dedication for Lucas Hill, son of Don and Lauren Hill. It is a blessing to see families grow and to be a part of their lives. Pastor Smith and his wife, Sheilah, are away on a short vacation to visit family in the Carolinas, and they will be back for the Wednesday service. Check the new Summer Life Step Classes listed in the bulletin for Wednesday night, and come join us for fellowship and Bible Study. We welcome back home Pastor Jarrett and the Missions team from Nova Scotia. This group of 19 teens and adults had a great and productive week at Forest Glen Bible Camp. They were able to do a lot of painting, mowing, clearing brush, cleaning, organizing, and preparing the camp for the summer season. They also passed out over 1,000 flyers for a new church in the fastest growing city in Nova Scotia. Pastor Jarrett preached in the Sunday service and the group sang as well. Thank you for praying for them and your support for this team. We are looking forward to a Patriotic Sunday with a fellowship lunch on July 2nd. There will a patriotic emphasis with special music during the service. An indoor fellowship lunch will follow in the Friendship Hall featuring Pulled Pork and Pulled Chicken. Vacation Bible School is coming, July 10-14. “Boot Camp VBS” is the theme and there is a lot you can to do to help prepare for this special outreach. Please see Pastor Peterman or Linda Barber if you can help or have items to donate. Please begin to include VBS in your prayer and invite kids from your neighborhood to come.
