The drilling, testing and completion of a cost effective, safe and environmentally compliant well is the key element in the E&P process, which requires integration of a diverse range of technical disciplines.

RPS Energy is unique as a provider of well operations consultancy services with expertise developed across the complete spectrum of well drilling activity in any geographical location and any geological environment. Our services cover all the

The success of a well is often determined by decisions taken during the pre-drilling stage, and good project planning based on in-depth technical and operational experience is essential.

Well Design and Engineering This is critical to the success of a well and requires a co-ordinated and integrated approach to drilling, reservoir, production and operations engineering. RPS Energy has extensive well design and engineering experience on complex well projects that span a wide range of operating conditions and technology applications.

HSE and Risk Management HSE and Risk Management is an important component of any offshore or onshore drilling operation. Over many years, RPS Energy has developed a core capability in the whole sphere of risk management, allowing us to undertake or supervise a comprehensive HSE support service for drilling operations.

What we do is:

n Ensure necessary licences and permissions obtained

n Undertake Environmental Impact Assessments, baseline studies and management programmes,

n Perform HSE reviews and audits of company, contractors, rig, support vessels & facilities, aircraft etc

Geophysical Survey

RPS Energy has been providing project management and operational support services for offshore site investigation projects and survey projects for more than 25 years and is regarded as the world leader in providing consulting expertise in these areas. We can provide a complete outsourced project management service, based either in clients’ offices or from our own regional offices in the UK, Australia / SE Asia and North America.

Our expertise spans all forms of site investigation; semi-submersible, jack-up and drill ship site investigation, fixed platform siting and foundation design, pipelines, flow lines and cables including as-laid and inspection surveys.

The ultimate objectives of the survey planning process and an essential part of the scope of work and subsequent survey, is to ensure that all available data are gathered, understood and integrated, as appropriate, to provide a cost effective, focussed, fit for purpose solution for the requirements of the end user.

This may be carried out as a standalone exercise, or as part of a survey design and planning process.

Geohazard Analysis Geohazards are defined as any naturally occurring material, structure or situation that averts the successful and secure installation and operation of any drilling programme or engineering structure.

Geohazard evaluation centres around the interpretation of seismic and geological data for the detection and mapping of geohazards that are significant to drilling operations and hydrocarbon field development and for the emplacement of structures on the seabed.

Geotechnical Investigation As Europe’s largest Geosciences & Environmental consultancy RPS Energy has the capability, and is uniquely placed, to provide a fully integrated seabed risk management service. RPS Energy has a dedicated team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists with extensive technical and managerial experience in the offshore Energy Sector, particularly for site investigation, foundation design engineering and construction. This team has the knowledge, experience and expertise required to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.

We bring together a unique blend of specialist services to support our clients in the ever demanding operational environments in which we work. Unexploded Ordnance Unexploded ordnance is unfortunately a major safety concern for land and marine operations. Many areas of the world harbour unexploded ordinance from previous conflicts, often in a degraded and unstable condition. RPS Energy has developed management and QC services for UXO mitigation by using appropriately experienced and trained specialists. By combining their experience and training, often gained in the armed forces, with existing maps, local information, and on-ground surveys, our personnel can determine likely areas of potential danger and identify hazardous items. This allows effective use of clearance groups so that operations can proceed safely and in accordance with local regulations and best practice.

Rig Move & Positioning RPS Energy is an acknowledged expert in the provision of offshore survey and associated GIS and database consultancy. from both previous work and enterprise datasets.

Drilling HSE We have a highly experienced operational HSE team, most of whom have managed field operations in the oil and gas sector. The International Oil Pollution (Preparedness and Response) Convention 1990 established the need for individual

spill plans for all oil handling facilities.
