Since its first official regis-tration in 1912 ITAG’s drill-ing division has steadily developed a modern and highly qualified technical standard relative to drill-ing services.

Today’s focuses: ITAG offers a full range of drilling and workover services with hook load capacities from 60 to 700 tons. ITAG rigs are designed for drilling wells to depths of 23.000 ft (~7.500 m) and suitable for almost any environ-ment.

In addition to the drilling and workover activities, the branch for equipment services was introduced to the oil industry. ITAG work-shops soon did all kinds of repair of tools and machin-ery and would manufac-ture parts for stock and distribute them.

Today’s focuses are techni-cally challenging sub con-tract machining, especially very long turned parts and horizontal deep hole drill-ing. Also a full range of OCTG threading services are offered covering stand-

ard API connections as well as a wide range of pre-mium connections.

Having the close contact to the oil industry for several decades, ITAG in the early 1950’s enlarged its capa-bilities by opening a new division for production of oilfield related equipment. Starting with plug and butterfly valves, we went on to invent the pigging valve, then a full line of wellhead equipment, oil-field truck winches, a range of drilling mud cleaning and separating equipment, drill collars and other drill string parts, kelly valves, pipeline ball valves, gate valves, counterflush drill-ing for mining, mobile drilling rigs, ….

Today’s focuses are produc-tion of valves and equip-ment ranging from stand-ard to extreme applications, wellheads, Christmas trees and equipment relevant

to drilling and production operations.

Since 1957Having been a pioneer in the European oil indus-try for the provision and servicing of drilling rigs for many decades, and after having already built up a business for manufacture and supply and servicing of oilfield equipment and tools, in 1957 ITAG intro-duced a new range of well-head equipment which was an immediate success.

2007Today ITAG wellhead equip-ment is one in a group of technology related busi-nesses supporting the oil and gas industries with innovative solutions.

We use state-of-the-art CAD and CAM systems, finite element modelling software and modern plan-ning tools for manufactur-ing and quality control in our highly automated manufacturing facility.

In addition, the experi-ence and dedication of our employees contribute as a particular factor to the level of safety and reliability internationally recognized as ‚Made in Germany‘.

Casing Heads Standard Features• Has a straight bowl

design with a 45° landing shoulder.

• Accepts automatic and non-automatic sealing casing hanger.

• Available with threaded, slip-on weld (optional: shop welded casing pup) or slip-lock bottom con-nections.

• Available with line pipe threaded and studded side outlets. Studded outlets are threaded for valve removal plugs.

• Can be provided with lock-down screws for retention of wear bushing.

• Can be provided with a landing base.

Casing Spools Standard Features• Has a straight bowl

design with a 45° landing shoulder.

Automatic Casing Hanger Standard Features• Is a wrap-around hanger

which incorporates pack-off, slip bowl and slips.

• Is classified as a API group III hanger.

• Pack-off is automatical-ly energized by casing weight and seals the annulus below the slips.

• Can be lowered through blowout preventer.

• Support casing weight and seals the annulus before the BOP is remo-ved.

Manual Casing Hanger Standard Features• Is a wrap-around hanger

which incorporates pack-off, slip bowl and slips.

• Is classified as a API group III hanger.

• Has a compression style pack-off above the slips which is energized using cap screws.

• Can be lowered through blowout preventer.

• Is used when the annu-lus seal is required inde-pendently from casing load.

• Isolates test pressure from hanging load.

Tubing Hanger Standard Features• Is a threaded mandrel

type hanger.• Has an extended neck

which is equipped with interference-type secondary seals.

• The compression type primary annulus seal is activated by the tubing weight.

• Preparation for back-pressure valve as a stan-dard.

• Available with porting for control and injection lines.

Company ProfileITAG Valves and Oilfield Products GmbH (IVOP) is a company division of the privately owned Hermann von Rautenkranz Internationale Tiefbohr GmbH & Co. KG – ITAG.ITAG was founded in 1912 and is involved in drilling for oil and gas, gas & oil concessions, specialist machining and product design and manufacturing, predominantly for the oil and gas industry.

IVOP, ITAG’s valves and oilfield products division, is home of the rapidly developing wellhead division, and offers a complete range of pipeline ball valves as well as other oilfield related equipment.

IVOP’s quality management system complies to the fol-lowing certification: ISO 9001 - API Q1 - European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. IVOP is official licensee of the API Monogram Program for API Specs 6A, 6D and 7.

Production Facilities

ITAG Valves & Oilfield Products runs a manufacturing plant in Germany with CNC machines, weld shop and equipment according to the latest state of the art.

Special purpose machines are capable of processing heavy parts over 20 tons, on fixed tables and rotating tables, for vertical bores and for horizontal bores.

Test benches enable pressure testing of sizes up to 60 in. bore diameter, pressure range is available up to 4000 bar.
