Start of Term 3 Term 2 will commence on Monday 16 July with an assembly at 9.00am. Financial Assistance (Information for Parents) The Camps, Sports and Excursion Fund (CSEF) forms and information is on the school’s website and available from the office. Families who were eligible in 2017 are not required to resubmit an application. If family circumstances have changed, you will need to complete a (CSEF) form. All Prep parents who are eligible you will also need to complete a (CSEF). Please note: the program for 2018 closes on Friday 29 June 2018. Year 2 Camp The Year 2 students had a marvellous time at Cottage by the Sea in Queenscliff last week. The students had an excursion to the Marine Discovery Centre, a walk and play on the beach and the opportunity to use the wonderful facilities of the Cottage. Thanks you to the teachers, students and staff at the Cottage for making this first camp for our Year 2s such a memorable and fun experience. Unfortunately, the Cottage will be closed for renovations in 2019 so an alternative camp venue for our 2019 Year 2 students is currently being investigated. New Gaga Pit The second gaga pit has been completed, including the installation of the shade sails. It has been well used and appreciated by the children over the last week. A big thank you to Grant for all his efforts in arranging for its installation. Dogs in the School Grounds Parents are reminded that dogs are not permitted in the school grounds and may not be left tied, unattended to the school fences or gates. This is an occupational health and safety matter. From time to time students wish to bring their dog along to school in the morning for a brief ‘share’ session with their class. Arrangements regarding this must be made in advance, with the classroom teacher. Thank you for your support with this matter. Lost Property Cupboard Yet again, the lost property cupboard in the main building is overflowing with misplaced or lost items of school clothing. Parents are asked to check that all items of school clothing are clearly labelled so that they may be returned promptly to your child. West Gate Tunnel Project Following a meeting with the community liaison team from the West Gate Tunnel Project, it was agreed that regular updates about the progress of the construction and disruptions to traffic and routes to school will be communicated to parents via our weekly newsletter. In the coming weeks and months there may be road closures, detours and minor interruptions while the works are in progress.
