WES Home Learning Plan (March 26-April 3) Dear WES Families, All students were given 5 days of SOS packets that were to last until Wednesday, March 25. Starting March 26, we will begin our new set of instructional materials. Our teachers at WES have and will create learning materials while school is closed. The materials do not replace the experience of being in school, but it is important that our students continue to learn and grow. Please do not feel overwhelmed with these e-learning plans. Our teachers and staff will be communicating with you and your child on how they can support you in this challenging time. Teachers will be available via DOJO or email Monday – Friday from 10:30-1:30 for questions or help. While each teacher may communicate with families differently, you should expect to receive communication from your child’s teacher weekly. It is especially important during times of uncertainty that your child maintain a connection with their teacher and school. Our teachers at WES have been developing e-learning plans called “WES Home Learning Plans” for grades K-4. These are only suggestions to help your child learn at home. The weekly plans will be posted every Sunday. Any type of paper/pencil activity on the e-learning plan does not need to be printed out - your child can answer using a notebook from home. You do not need a printer. We have also included an “enrichment section” which will enable students and their families to explore while at home if they desire. Our support staff will be reaching out to families with children with special needs and providing support for their learning needs. The e-learning plans will be shared using Class DOJO , WES website , and FB. Many thanks to all our teachers, students, staff, parents, and community as we all work together to continue to nourish, grow, and care for our children and each other. Please remember that the most important thing right now is taking care of your family and yourself during this unchartered territory. Thank you again for your support as we navigate this challenging and developing public health issue. If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to the next set of instructional plans, please contact Ms. Miller at [email protected] for assistance. Below are the “WES Home Learning Plans” for Grades K-4.
