2009200920092009200920092009A Defi nitive YearWhen I stepped onto campus this year a sense of calm was everywhere, even in the midst of the transformation and change West Sound Academy

experienced in 2008. Looking back at the year I can see how much change has

allowed us to refl ect on who we are as community and as individuals.

I sincerely believe that this time has allowed us to form a deeper bond as a community.

Bonding between the grades has been especially terrifi c this year. I participated in

The Crucible and dance events; both of which blended upper and lower school students

who worked together and learned from each other. I have felt a signifi cantly deeper sense of

community and truly value the interactions between grade levels. The year may have been

full of change, but the successes of the theatre productions, dance performances, morning

meetings and spring trips made for a truly defi nitive year.
