WESTSIDE LIFE March 1, 2015 For Our Guests

Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved through our response of faith,

believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time.

Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus have been baptized

through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation.

Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or seek prayers on your behalf

by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time.

Communion...Communion at Westside is open to all believers who have gathered with us to honor

Jesus.

The HUB is in need of egg cartons (12 count size)... If you can bring your empty egg cartons and leave them at the Guest Services Counter, it would be much appreciated!!!

Due to the increase in vandalism and littering, as well as those who use the parking lot as a shortcut during school hours to avoid the 4-way stop, it has become necessary to chain off the parking lots in the northern and eastern entrances during non-church times. The entrance/exit on Stockdale Highway will remain open at all times. We regret the

inconvenience this may create, but in the interest of additional security we believe these measures to be necessary.

Thank you...

Thank you so very much for the continuing prayers, cards, calls, and food that has been prepared for us. The past 4 1/2 months have been made easier because of your thoughtfulness and showing love and concern. Norma Schmidt

Thank you for your prayers on my behalf. The doctors are working on a remedy for all the pain I am dealing with. Thank you for all you do. Charlotte West
