WESTVIEW’S BUZZ A Note from your Principal Dear Parents: It’s great to be at Westview. We’ve gotten the 2013- 2014 school year off to a great start. I’ve been very impressed by the professionalism and work ethic of the staff, the enthusiasm of the students and the support of families. The trimester has moved into high gear very quickly. This newsletter gives us an opportunity to let you know what is happening at Westview Elementary. We want to keep open the lines of communication between home and school and this is one important way to do that. You can expect to receive a newsletter every month. Together we can make this a rewarding school year for all students. We hope that each of you will consider how you can remain active in your child’s education. We welcome parent involvement and hope you will consider the multiple ways you can assist us. I encourage you to be open to helping with field trips, library circulation or extra-curricular activities, for example. Please see our office staff to complete a police background check if you are in- terested. I look forward to working with each of you. When we work to- gether, we can make a positive difference in our community and in the lives of children.
