The Westwood Early Childhood Office is home of the Coordinated Family and Community
Engagement Grant (CFCE) that supports families with children ages birth through eight. Our
mission is to provide the following programs and services which form the acronym PEACE.
Parent Education workshops
Early literacy and learning activities
Assistance with basic family needs
Community collaboration and partnerships
Early Educator training and support
The CFCE program is a state funded grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The CFCE program serves as a resource hub for families. We strive to strengthen families and support parents as their child's first teacher by offering free family programs, resources, and services that enhance growth and learning. Parents can access child development information, developmental screening tools, transition information and timely support in periods of crisis. Our programs and services are funded through the CFCE grant, the Westwood Public School and generous donations from local grants. This Early childhood Resource Directory is a comprehensive listing of educational/childcare resources, family support services and enrichment resources/recreational programs. In it you will find contact information for Westwood preschools and child care programs, parent and child groups, organizations who can help in a crisis, local libraries and recreational programs. Inclusion in the Westwood Early Childhood Resource Directory is for informational purposes only, with the sole intent of disseminating information to parents and providers. The listing of any program and services does not denote endorsement or support in any way. Conversely, if a program or service is not listed, we apologize for any oversight and invite parents and programs to notify the Early Childhood Office for inclusion in future revisions.
