eithertopeopleinsideoroutsidethegroup.Thisincludes,butisnotlimitedto:talking,texting,Tweeting,Facebooking,etc.

c. Ishallnever“putonanact”whileviewingotherartists’workasamemberofanaudience,norshallImakeunkindcriticismfromjealousyorforthesakeofbeingsmart.

d. Ishallrespecttheplayandtheplaywright;andrememberingthat“aworkofartisnotaworkofartuntilitisfinished,”Ishallnotcondemnaplaywhileitisinrehearsal.

3. Iwillnevermissaperformance.4. IwillattendallrehearsalstowhichIamcalled,unlesspreviouslydiscussedwiththedirector.Threeexcusedabsencesisthe

allowedmaximum.Technicalrehearsalsaremandatory;absenceswillnotbeaccepted.5. Iwillalwaysbeontime.6. Iwillbeoffbook(linesandblockingmemorized)assoonaspossible;atlatest,bythe6thweekofrehearsal.7. IunderstandthatImustdomybesttolearnandexecuteallstagingthatmayberequiredofmeinthisproduction(i.e.

entrances/exits,choreography)andIwillfulfillanyfurtherresponsibilities(i.e.wearingcostumesandusingprops)thatImayacceptduringthecourseoftheproduction.

8. Ishallhandlesetpieces,props,andcostumeswithcareforIknowtheyarepartofthetoolsofmytradeandareavitalpartofthephysicalproduction.

9. SinceIrespectthetheatreinwhichIwork,Iwilldomybesttokeepitlookingclean,orderly,andattractiveregardlessofwhetherIamspecificallyassignedtosuchworkornot.

10. Ishallacceptmydirectors’adviceandcounselinthespiritinwhichitisgiven,fortheycanseetheproductionasawholeandmyworkfromthefront.

11. Ishallforegothegratificationofmyegoforthedemandsoftheplay.12. Ishallnotletthecommentsoffriends,relatives,orcriticschangeanyphaseofmyworkwithoutproperconsultation;Ishall

notchangelines,business,lights,properties,settings,orcostumesoranyphaseoftheproductionwithoutconsultationwithandpermissionofmydirector,andIshallinformallpeopleconcerned.

13. Iwillnotgiveanotheractornotesorcriticism,forIamnotthedirector.14. Iwillplayeveryperformancewithenergy,enthusiasm,andtothebestofmyabilityregardlessofsizeofaudience,personal

illness,personalturmoil,badweather,oraccident.15. IwillnotleavethetheatrebuildingorthestageareauntilIhavecompletedmyperformance,unlessthestaffspecifically

excusesme;curtaincallsandpost-productionstrikeareapartoftheshow.16. IunderstandthatImustmanagemytimeinandoutofschoolinsuchawayastoenablemyselftodomybestandtofulfill

allofmyresponsibilitiesinallareas.

17. Iunderstandthatmyinvolvementinthisproductionmayinnowaybeconsideredanexcusefornotfulfillingmyotheracademicandextra-curricularresponsibilities,withoutpriordiscussionandapprovaloftheDirectors,andotherinstructors,coaches,monitors,etc.
