Le Book's latest Connections event in New York saw another strong showing for creatives specialising in both editorial and ad campaign work.
Le Book's New York event showed that even in a recession creativity is a valuable commodity. But while the creatives there were brimming with ideas, their work still showed the impact of the turbulent times.
There was less out-and-out glamour, more of an understated approach with photography and illustrations that had a thoughtful, often almost casual feel. This change was also apparent in images of objects rather than people. Photos of luxury items that were less about a high-profile celebration of the idea of luxury and more about the structure and craftsmanship behind the pieces pictured.
