What is Early Intervention?
Early Intervention helps children with develop-mental delays or disabling conditions to reach their fullest potential. Once an evaluation de-termines that your child has a 25% delay in one or more developmental areas, the next step is to work with your service coordinator and the rest of the early intervention team to write a plan for your child and family. This plan is called an Individualized Family Service Plan or IFSP.
What is in an IFSP?
A summary of your child’s development
Routines and activities that you enjoy
Your concerns and priorities for your
child’s development
Outcomes and services that you would like
to see your child receive
Plans for the future
