G wireless systems will support three generic services, which classified as enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), massive Machine-Type Communications (mMTC) or sensors, and Ultra-Reliable and Low latency Communications

(URLLC) by ITU (International Telecommunication Union) a specialized agency of the United Nations. Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) is one of three primary 5G New Radio use cases defined by the 3GPP. It was the first commercial application of 5G which helped telecom operators to improve their consumer business for providing better services efficiently. The Non-standalone(NSA) 5G NR mode for eMBB use case is anchored in LTE while 5G NR carriers are implemented to boost data-rates up and reduce latency.

Most of the studies reveal that it will bring in10 times lower cost per gigabyte as compared to 4G networks. An eMBB network will provide a number of facilities but many rich media technologies will rely on it including AugmentedReality, Virtual Reality, and Real-Time Translation along with unlimited internet with the faster download as well as upload speeds.

It introduces two major technology advancements through 5G New Radio.

The latest eMBB test solutions support high bandwidth and high frequencies over the air for both mobile devices and base stations in advanced research, development and manufacturing sector.

There are three main distinct attributes the 5G aimed to deliver:

It offers access in densely populated locations, both indoors and outdoors including stadiums, city centers, big shopping malls, city center, railway stations or bus stands, airports, conference centers, movie theatres, office buildings and so on.

Higher User Mobility:

It enables users in cars, buses, trains, ships, and planesto get good connectivity.

Traffic capacity of 10 Mbps per square meter in hotspot areasPeak data rate from 10 Gbps to 20 GbpsNetwork energy savings by 100 timesLatency of 1ms for data exchange1000 times more trafficBoth macro and small cellsUp to one million connections per square kilometerUp to 1Gbps data transfer rates and whole traffic volume of at least1Tbps per square kilometerHigh mobility up to 500km/hour in trains and 1000km/hour in airplanesDeployment of several applications on the cloud through its network architecture.

Improved connectivity:

The broadband provides a consistent user experienceeverywhere anytime.

A shift of frequency spectrum to the cmWave and mmWave range to achieve higher bandwidth allocations.

Advanced antenna array which includes tens or even hundreds of TX/RX antenna elements to empower massive MIMO and Beamforming.

Unlicensed Spectrum:

Radio convergence could support sharing from the aggregation of Mobile and Wi-Fi channels to achieve cost, power, and c o m p l e x i t y d e c l i n e s . T h e a d o p t i o n o f C l o u d o r Centralized-RAN (C-RAN) from Distributed Radio Access Network(D-RAN) and the revolution in small cells can narrow the gap between Wi-Fi channels and mobile networks in indoor and dense deployments.

Radio Convergence:

In an eMBB network, edge computing should optimize cloud c o m p u t i n g s y s t e m s t o p r o m o t e f a s t e r s p e e d s a n d low-latency data transfers on edge devices. It improves the use of Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Netflix and numerous other applications that run on the cloud.

Mobile Edge Computing:

A global approach: Satellite networks provide high-speed capacity across the globe and support fast communication during an emergency.

Mobility: It supports connectivity anywhere on the ground such as air or sea for moving platforms such as airplanes, ships, and trains.

Simultaneous Broadcasting: Satellite supports efficient deliveries of rich multimedia and other content on several sites simultaneously through multicast streams.

Security: It supports secure, speedy, and challenging communication scenarios during an emergency and public safety.

No single technology will meet all requirements for each 5G application. As the European Union and other governments in the world have correctly recognized the 5G infrastructure implement different complementary technologies to meet users’ demands successfully that made it possible for the satellite to support the 5G roll-out and its success. The sate llite also supports an eMBB network for providing several facilities.

Today, a new era of advanced technologies, aimed towards developing a plethora of applications to make an eMBB network more powerful while considering different challenges on the health and the environment.

Satellite use cases for 5G eMBB:

Enhanced Speed:An emBB network must provide a throughput of Gbps to ensure an immersive wireless experience to end users. While in fast-moving vehicles, the video streams of Augmented Reality (AR) for intelligent navigation and other on-vehicle Mobile Broad-band apps need a bandwidth up to 100Mbit per second.

New Radio Frequencies:The air interface for an eMBB is called 5G New Radio (NR) which further categorized into two frequency bands FR1( below 6 GHz) and FR2 (mmWave), each band with diverse capabilities.

Massive MIMOMultiple-antenna or Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) is an advanced technology which supports wireless communication for LTE and Wi-Fi powerfully. Both transmitters and receivers have numerous antennas for more signal paths and better performance related to the data rate and link reliability.

Small Cells:Small cells are low-powered radio access nodes to operate licensed and unlicensed spectrum within a range of 10 meters to some kilometers. They may be picocells, or microcells else femtocells. Beamforming enhances the coverage of the small cells in a network area. Small cells are specific to different air interfaces including GSM, CDMA2000, W-CDMA, LTE, TD-SCDMA, and WiMax. They support eMBB based networks efficiently.

Spectrum:

An enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) needs powerful spectrum. Large volumes of 5G NR frequency bands have been allocated to 5G spectrums, mainly in millimeter wave bands to support enhanced needs of 5G. In the USA, the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has added massive amounts of bandwidth to the new radio, during July 2016. Moreover, EU governments are agreed to start the 3.6 and 26 GHz bands by 2020.

DEDICATION TO WORK IS THE KEY TO OUR SUCCESS

WHO AM I?

SWEETY GOELSME expert on Core Networks,

oday is the most honorable day for me. It reminds me of the very first day at the Mobile-Comm, six years ago. I joined it as I assumed it to be the best company to work with for me. I knew there was no better company to join if I

wanted to make a difference. The inspiration of decency of the firm continuously motivates me today. It is an incredible honor for me to serve this great company of ours.

I’ve been fortunate to work closely with Mr. Rajiv Gandhi Sir & while we have seen great success, we feel the urge to do more. Our company respects not only tradition but also innovation.

Presently, it is a critical time for our company as new technologies are emerging speedily. We have to stay ahead of the curve. Our job is to ensure that MobileComm thrives in IoT, 5G, and cloud-first world.

I am an SME expert on Core Networks, delivering training on CS Core, PS/EPC Core and VOLTE Networks. Many friends say that I am famous for my curiosity and thirst for learning. I sign up more courses than I can complete. I fundamentally believe that if we do not learn new things, we stop doing great things. So family, curiosity, and hunger for knowledge all define me well.

WHY AM I HERE?

I am here for the same reason I think most people join MobileComm — to change the world through technology that empowers people to do amazing things. I know it can sound hyperbolic — and yet it’s true. We have done it, we’re doing it today, and we are the team that will do it again. The most important topic for me is that Gandhi Sir has always given me the liberty to define my scope of work believing in me. It will be worth to say that I am here because we have the unparalleled skills to make an impact.

WHAT DO WE DO NEXT?

We believe in impossible and remove the improbable.

It clears the purpose of the mission. It motivates us to think innovatively and turn it into a reality soon. We need to prioritize innovation that centered on our core value of empowering users and organizations to “do more.” We have picked a set of high-value activities as part of our One MobileComm strategy. And with every service and device launch going forward we need to bring more innovation to bear around these scenarios.

Next, every one of us needs to do our best work, lead and help drive cultural change. We sometimes underestimate w h a t w e e a c h c a n d o to m a ke t h i n g s h a p p e n a n d overestimate what others need to do to move us forward. We must change this. Finally, I believe that each of us must find meaning in our work. The best work happens when you know that it does not just work, but something that will improve other people’s lives. It is the possibility thatencourages each of us at this company.

Many companies aspire to change the world. But very few have all the elements required: talent, resources, and perseverance. MobileComm has proven that it has all three in abundance. And as a Mobilecomm employee, I can’t ask for a better foundation.

Let’s build on this foundation together.
