What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Before I created the pages for my music magazine I researched and planned out exactly how I wanted to do it by looking at genuine pop music magazine covers , contents pages and double page spreads. To put this onto my blog in a more creative way I learnt how to use Prezi, Slideshare and Scribd to upload my posts.

To plan my pages I had to take a number of photos and choose some to use throughout my magazine, when I’d chosen the photos to use I edited them on photoshop before putting them onto my magazine.

Once I had taken my photos I edited them so that they would comply with the conventions of a pop music magazine. To do this cropped the backgrounds off all of the photos, used the medium close up for the front cover and the medium long shot for the double page spread.

To edit each photo and to create the front cover and contents page I used Photoshop and then to create the double page spread I used InDesign for the first time.

Once the photos had been edited on Photoshop I used InDesign to create the double page spread, this helped to create a professional look for my pop music magazine and to keep the house style continuous throughout the whole magazine.
