UN Rec No 1 UN Layout Key
• Started 1963, amended and approved 1973, 1981 and later, named as UN Layout Key in 1978
• Joint standards work between UNCEFACT and ISO TC154
• A methodology to create paper oriented documents with an aligned layout and content
Currently there are• a UN set of aligned documents, e.g. the EU Single
Administrative Document (SAD), IATA Airway bill, FIATA Forwarding Instruction,
• national aligned documents, e.g. UK SITPRO Topform with about 70 documents
• and industry specific, e.g. Siemens trade documents
