Graphic design covers many areas. It tends to specialize in in logos to differentiate different organizations, companies and products.

What range of materials and media do designers use?

Designers can use a wide range of materials such as specialist notepads and pens, and can use a wide range of media such as Photoshop, CAD/CAM and Illustrator. Artists and graphic designers are different in the respect that artists work and promote themselves whereas graphic designers tend to work to promote others.
