What is IMIBIC?
IMIBIC is the Maimónides Institute for Biomedical Research of Córdoba
It is a Research Institute aimed at fostering a rich multidisciplinary
scientific environment in Biomedicine, where basic and clinical research
groups evolve together by developing interrelated scientific projects
aimed at solving health-related problems relevant for society.
The institute encourages and supports research groups towards
achievement of excellence in science, innovation, internationalization and
translational research.

NHS – IMIBIC COLLABORATION
A GATEWAY TO THE ANDALUSIAN HEALTH SERVICE (SAS)
Why is the SAS (and IMIBIC) interested in the NHS? (and vice versa?)
Similar healthcare model (some features of our regional model are
inspired in the NHS)
Close relationship between basic and clinical researchers
Emphasis on translational medicine
Interest of SAS in specific areas (institutional collaboration):
E-Health / Telemedicine
Strategies for chronic diseases
NHS – IMIBIC COLLABORATION

How is our relationship with the NHS?
Primarily through direct contact (researchers)
Not yet materialised in a FP collaborative project (with IMIBIC)
What we would like…
Strengthen this relationship through the NHS European Office
Increase the number of new collaborations
Foster new projects (in H2020) from previous collaborations
