What is in your life bag?
What Are The Key Elements In Your Life Bag?
What Are The Key Elements In Your Life Bag?
Look Inside the Bag
Is it all there?
Is it filled with all the things that bring you personal happiness?
Is the bag heavy? Is the bag light? Is there room for more? Is there a need to make it lighter?
Are you proud of your bag? Are you embarrassed of your bag?
Each day you wake up next to this bag, carry it with you with every step and decision you make and go to sleep each night with your bag next to you. This bag is a symbol of your family, friends, job, dreams, ambitions, hobbies and everything in between.
Lighten the Load!
As a baby we come into this world with nothing. We are filled with laughter and wonder. We are void of material value and lack any understandings of the burdens of life. They key is to minimize the burden and lighten the bag.
As we grow up and mature, we gather friends, memories, toys, technology, academic credentials, life lessons, pictures, videos, scrapbooks and all the material and non-material things that shape who we become.
As we grow old, we look back and evaluate the life we have led and determine if it was a success.
Let’s dissect the bag – DUMP IT OUT!
Dump the Life Bag Out!
Lay it all out there. Make a mess and just look at what is there.
Now separate the items by importance: Critical needs in life, important needs, content and not necessary? – Which pile is bigger?
Look very closely at the contents of the bag? Is anything missing? If so, what and why?
Can anything be left behind?

Look within yourself…….
Who are your heroes/heroines?
What are your greatest influences throughout your life?
What prejudices do you have?
Do you have any regrets?
Are you at peace with yourself?
Are you still pursuing your dreams?
As you grew into adulthood, did responsibility take the place of your dreams?
Think back to those innocent ambitions you had as a child and young adult…
Where are they now?
Do you feel they are still attainable?
Is life responsibility holding you back?
Are you passionate about your career?
“There are no insignificant or ordinary jobs when they are performed by significant and extraordinary people!”

"There is more credit and satisfaction in being a first-rate truck driver than a tenth-rate executive"

What is passion?
What is passion?
• Passion is not talent.* Passion is not knowing a lot about a topic.* Passion is not masterful performance of a task.* Passion is not being hailed as an expert.* Passion is not having a lot of experience doing something.* Passion is not the skill you’ve gotten really good at in your job.
Passion is about the enthusiasm you have for something. It’s the thing you get energized just thinking about. It’s the topic you never get tired of learning about. It’s what you never get tired of talking about. It’s where your creativity soars. It’s being in that zone where you forget time, space and even hunger because you are so engaged in what you are doing.
