What is PC MOUSE????

PC Mouse is a small hand-held pointing and selecting device used to move the cursor on yourscreen. As you slide PC Mouse on the mouse pad, the cursor moves correspondingly. Threebuttons on top of mouse allow you to activate functions by the use of pop-up menus. PC Mousesoftware with pop-up menus has been created for some of your favorite software programs: Lotus1 -2-3™, Personal Editor™, VisiCalc®, WordStar®, Volkswriter™ and Multiplan™. The pop-up menusare transparent to the underlying program, and no modification to your existing software isrequired. Pop-up menus allow you to select and execute commands at the press of a button. Nolonger do you have to memorize commands.

Even if you are an expert typist, moving around in spreadsheets and wordprocessors will befaster and easier than ever before. PC Mouse interfaces through an RS-232 asynchronouscommunication port. Since there are no moving parts, no maintenance or cleaning is required. PCMouse software is compatible with PC-DOS 1.10 and 2.00. What is PC Mouse?PC Mouse combines an optical mouse with pop-up menu software to allow you to quickly and

easily move the cursor and select commands without using the keyboard.

What will PC Mouse do for me?PC Mouse will make almost all of your software easier to learn and use. Since it allows you to

rapidly position the cursor on the screen, you don't have to memorize all sorts of strange commandsequences to move around in a spreadsheet or text document. Since PC Mouse supports a "pop-up" menu style of interaction, many commands can be issued without typing and without using thekeyboard. Commands are selected from a list, so memorization of complicated command codesas well as "typos" are eliminated.

What are Pop-up menus?The latest PC Mouse software is called Pop-up menu software. Unlike fixed menus, pop-up

menus appear on the screen when needed, and disappear when the desired command isselected. The pop-up menus are completely transparent to the underlying program. The menustake up no screen space except when they are actually being used. Since the same pop-up menustyle of interaction is used with all programs, you are presented with a consistent user interfaceacross all applications. To date, MSC has developed pop-up menus for:

Why should I use PC Mouse with Lotus 1-2-3?Pop-up-menu software makes Lotus 1 -2-3 easy to learn and fast to use. You'll like the way you

can move around in your spreadsheet with PC Mouse in your left hand while entering numericaldata with your right hand. Buttons two and three can be used for extra speed. PC Mouse softwareis automatically installed during "boot-up" and fits on your Lotus 1 -2-3System disk.

Is PC Mouse difficult to install?No. All necessary hardware is supplied by Mouse Systems. Simply plug one end of the RJ11C

cable into the interface box, and the other end into the RS232C (COM1) port of your PC. After ashort calibration routine, PC Mouse is ready to use. PC Mouse software can be installed on yourprogram disk using a one line installation procedure. The software uses less than 10K of diskspace.
