What to Do If Edits are Required If it is determined that your work requires edits, it will likely require that you correct your document in its pre-PDF form (for example correct the Microsoft Word document) and then create a new PDF from this corrected document. Make sure this correcting and PDF creation process is complete before logging on to IUPUIScholarWorks. What’s GREAT about IUPUIScholarWorks is that all the information you filled out is still complete. All you need to do is replace the file(s). Follow these easy steps to do so. STEP1 Go to https://scholarworks.iupui.edu

STEP2 Click on Login under My Account using the email address that the Graduate Office has on record and the password you set via the automatic email from IUPUIScholarWorks.

STEP 3 Once you have logged in, Click on Submissions under My Account.

STEP 4 Click on the title of submission you want to edit (likely only one submission present).

STEP 5 Click Resume

STEP 6 You have the opportunity to alter any of the information you originally submitted describing your document. If you would like to alter this information do so on each page, clicking the Next button to save each page. If you do not wish to alter any descriptive information, click on the Upload button in the navigation bar to move to the point where you can upload your corrected file(s).

STEP 7 Once you are at the Upload portion of the workflow, put a check mark in box(es) next to the files that need to be replaced. Now click the Remove selected files.

STEP 8 Now click the Browse to browse your computer for the revised files. Click the Upload file & add another button.

STEP 9 Once all files have been uploaded click Next.

STEP 10 You are again able to check to make sure all information and files you’ve provided are correct. If you want to

make corrections use the appropriate button.

Click Next to continue.

STEP 11 Next you will be given the opportunity to assign a Creative Commons License to your work. A Creative Commons License allows you to set parameters for what you will or will not allow others to do with your work. Selecting a Creative Commons License is NOT required. For more information about what a Creative Commons License is, please visit: http://creativecommons.org/license/ STEP 12a: If you do NOT wish to select a Creative Commons License, click Next to proceed to the next step and move to STEP 13 on this guide.

STEP12b: If you DO wish to include a Creative Commons License, choose Creative Commons from the drop-down menu and answer the questions that appear, then click Next.

STEP 13 Finally you need to read through the IUPUIScholarWorks Distribution License carefully to understand the license to which you are agreeing and what you are allowing IUPUI and University Library to do with your work. This is a separate license from the Creative Commons License and it is required. We suggest printing this license for your records. If you agree to the terms, check the box next to Grant the License and click Complete Submission.

The Graduate Office, School or Department will need to review your resubmission and graduation standing before your thesis/dissertation will appear in IUPUIScholarWorks.
