Eagledale Golden Eagles, a group for area seniors 55+,meets every Thursday at 2 p.m. at Service Center for our program called CreateIndy. We work together to draw,
write, and create pieces that are fun, tell their story, andspark conversation. In this project, participants paired off and traded stories about an object from their past. Thenthey created paper replicas of the objects.

Indianapolis, the most well-known being the one justnorth of College and 38th St.Painted on a low wall near Hamilton’s home the muralreads “We have more in com-mon than our differences.”
“Homage to Lafayette Square”Based on the work of German-born artist Josef Albers, “Hom-age to Lafayette Square” wasdesigned by the participants of the 2011 Taste the Differenceevent. Attendees assembled color combinations. After, local busi-ness owners chose the squaresfor the murals based on whichcombinations most reected thecultural diversity and ags of themany countries represented in the
neighborhood.

Service Center’s Programs
Service Center is currently open twenty hours a week.
We are also open for Special Events.
We welcome all visitors during all open hours &
encourage everyone to use Service Center as ameeting place, worskshare space, or open studio.
In just one week Service Center offers:
FOURTEEN hours of drop-in art, writing & creativity hours for
people of all ages.
THREE hours of after-school art, writing & creativity hours designed for kids grades 3-6.
TWO hours of designated long-term creativity workshopsfor children.
ONE
hour of lunch-time talks on a variety of topics relat-ing to our neighborhood, our city, and our world.
