This is a do-at- home project. Please contact me if your child needs supplies to complete the project. PSSA Information: Reading/Writing Assessment – Week of 4/ 13 Mathematics Assessment- Week of 4/20 Please be sure your child eats a healthy breakfast and is well rested. Some of the current brain research suggests that chewing mints and gum may help to engage the brain (we’ll take it as truth). The PTA will provide mints. Your child may B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Gum) if you wish to provide it. Gum may not be shared with other students. Valley Forge Field Trip- Friday, May 22 Further information can be found on our class web page. Language Arts We continue to focus on informational (expository) writing. Students will also focus on writing an essay using evidence from three different texts on the same subject. This type of essay is known as Text Dependent Analysis, which requires close reading of several passages and organization of writing. We finished reading Among the Hidden, the first in a series of seven Shadow Children Books. It’s so wonderful that many students expressed an interest in continuing to read the remaining books in the series! Students will create and present a power point presentation on a particular biome.
