What’s Up, Doc? J A N U A R Y 2 0 1 9
Dear owners & associates,
Ahead lies the 2019 “Diversify” Convention at the beautiful renovated KC Airport Marriott Hotel. I’d
like to stress how useful and beneficial it is for all Dr. Vinyl and the Doctor’s Touch associates to join the
Dr. Vinyl Convention!
Asking questions and sharing experiences with your fellow Dr. Vinyl and the Doctor’s Touch techni-
cians is an absolute must in our special niche of business.
You will learn that by diversifying your business, which is done already by several owners, will prevent
you from slowing down in the wintertime.
Taking good care of retail customers is a far undervalued marketing tool, which will also make good
money for you!
People talk! This is your best, and free, marketing tool. They talk at home, at social gatherings, at work,
everywhere. They will also talk about the repair miracles Dr. Vinyl offers. Use this free marketing tool
to your benefit!!!
Doing aluminum wheels is a great addition to your current services.
Doing vinyl siding is a great addition to your current services.
Doing upholstery is a great addition to your current services.
There is so much you could add to make your business more profitable and add value to your franchise.
Off course the will to work hard, be reliable, provide excellent quality with environmental and health
safe products is the foundation for success. We will also discuss this topic at the owners only meeting on
Thursday afternoon!
The vendors pavilion will be a “small mobile tech show” with close to 20 vendors presenting and
demonstrating their products.
For entertainment we will have a karaoke contest on Friday night with the first prize being a weekend in
Las Vegas at the Aria Hotel, so give it your best! Other prizes will be announced at the “Diversify” con-
vention.
Looking forward to seeing you soon! CEO—Richard Reinders

2019 “DIVERSIFY”
CONVENTION
Thursday March 7th - Saturday March 9th,
Kansas City Marriott Hotel-KCI Airport
775 Brasilia Avenue, Kansas City, MO
Dear Partners,
Yes, it is Convention Time for The Dr. Vinyl Group! We all at the Dr. Vinyl Corporate Office are always very excit-
ed when this time of the year comes around. We encourage all franchise owners to make every effort to attend
along with your associates. There are so many benefits to attending convention. Meeting and sharing information
with your fellow associates. Visiting with staff members to learning different ways they can help you grow your busi-
ness. Asking questions and getting answers from current vendors that will be in attendance. You will see first hand
what tools, products and services they have to offer that will help you do a quality job more quickly and cost effectively.
During this three day extravaganza, Thursday night you’ll be able to spend time networking with others during our
Hospitality room gathering, Friday night there will be live entertainment, and, of course, Saturday night will be the tra-
ditional awards banquet ceremony. Most importantly, the 2019 “DIVERSIFY” - convention focuses on all of us working
together to achieve the same goals. Speak directly with your fellow partners on the latest trends in the industry and see
how they go about completing repairs, speaking with managers, getting new accounts, and maintaining accounts. We
know from past experience that one of the key components to operating a successful business is when everyone is
communicating with each other. That is what sets us apart from our competition. Don’t miss your opportunity to join us
at convention. This will be three days packed with training and information that you will need to make 2019 a success-
ful year.
Here are our Top-Ten Reasons NOT to attend Convention:
1. I refuse to diversify my business, I’d rather have all my business tied up into three accounts.
1. I want to diversify my business. I do not want to have my business tied up into three accounts.
2. I simply have better things to do than investing in my business.
2. I know it is important to invest in my business and help it grow.
3. I have too many accounts and I’m making to much money. I need to slow down.
3. I would like to get new accounts and make more money. Nothing slows me down.
4. If I’m at a training seminar for a few days out of the year to learn better ways to service my customers, I will
lose all my accounts to my competition.
4. My customers are aware of the need to keep updated with repair procedures and products and understand that
I have to invest a few days of the year into training purposes.
5. I still run my business like I did 20 years ago. No need for new ways of doing business.
5. I have a successful business for 20 years because I keep updated and informed about the industry.
6. I need to help my competitors grow, so I don’t offer the services they offer.
6. I don’t want to lose a customer to a competitor because of a service they offer that I’m lacking.
7. Meeting other Dr. Vinyl Partners who have successfully grown their business doesn’t matter. Their situation is
totally different than mine.
7. Meeting other Dr. Vinyl Partners who have successfully grown their business can help me improve my busi
ness even if their situation is slightly different than mine.
8. All the customers I’ll ever need are lined up outside my door.
8. It is beneficial to learn about new ways to gain more customers.
9. Sharing and receiving information from other successful franchise partners that offer the same services I do, all
in one place, is a waste of time.
9. Sharing and receiving information from other successful franchise partners that offer the same services I do, all
in one place, is a great opportunity that I wouldn’t want to miss!
10. I don’t like to learn new things. It’s bad for business.
10. I like to learn new things. It is good for business.
