It’s going to be a “mystery meal.”

• Mom responds cryptically, Dad’s not sure what to think.

• How might He answer?

1. Well, how about a simple meal of hot dogs on the grill?

2. Don’t get all crazy, it’s not that tough to do.

3. Listen, this is really important to my future with the company. There’s no way I can postpone.

Think About It …

• What makes Mom apprehensive about the request from Dad?

• What kinds of things worry Dad about how Mom responds?

• What other kinds of things cause us anxiety within the family

How do we respond?

• Now what do you think would happen?• What was good or avoidable about the

response of each person?

• Go back … try another path of options of Mom's and Dad's responses

• On the next slide, listen for what Jesus has to say about worry, apprehension, anxiety

Consider Jesus’ Advice

Matthew 6:31-33 (NLT) "So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. [32] Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, [33] and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
