For the little ones there’sstory timewith a parent,wherereading and learning aboutwildlife are combined to build
early language skills and piquetheircuriousity fornature.
For younger children begin-ning atpre-kindergarten,week-lycamps oer a wide range of activities appropriate to theirage, including creative playand science discovery. Thesecamps, for the SeaSquirts, areoeredin twosessionseachday,morning and afternoon.
Thenextgroupsincludestu-dents enteringrst grade onup
and are from9 a.m. to4:15p.m.each day, ve days a week. Bythe time campers are enteringthefourth grade,theygetto par-ticipate in an overnight stay atthe aquarium as a part of theircamp experience.
Campers entering the eightand ninth grade get a behind-thesceneslookat theaquariumand take part in the discover-iesduring an Archimedes boattrip, plus an overnight stay at
the WelderWildlifeRefuge.
High school stu-dents surf, trek andkayak their waythrough the week.Their science ex-perience includesa visit to the Port
Aransas Wetlands,an Archmides boattrip and a surf les-son . T hey a lsolearn about the di-versity of science-based careers andparticipate in twoovernight events atthe WelderWildlifeRefuge and the University of TexasMarineScienceInstitute.

DelMarCollegeoersacampforthose who play in theorchestra, aswell as band. Highschoolstudents
who play strings including violin,viola, cello and bass are alsoinvit-ed to play with the Corpus ChristChamber Orchestra. Band campincludes honor and concert bands,a percussion ensemble, a brassensemble, a woodwind ensemble,a jazz band and various chambermusic ensembles. Auditions forensemble and chair placement arescheduled the rst day of camp in June.Scholarships are available.
