Black History Month Poetry Event @ WPK

Eugene, Amanda & SDCL hosted a poetry reading in

honor of Black History Month. 3 classes attended

the event.

Faculty members selected poems to read and provided

great questions that encouraged

conversation.

read.

At the end of the program one

student & Associate shared poems that they

wrote.

Eugene provided great insight on each poem

and even recited a poem in Russian and then

Amanda read the English version that Eugene Translated.

Overall this program was a great success. The WPK Library is already starting to plan

their next poetry event with SDCL in honor of National Poetry Month in April!
