The new site in Kentucky is extremely remote and meets the conditions of a temperate northern climate. The Everglades site has recently cleared a new piece of land, which gives them access to an additional 1II. acres. Atlas has also expanded its third Florida site in Jacksonville, the only independent, commercially On October 13, 1999, the eleven- member staff of Metal Finishing was suddenly reduced by one as the ebullient, happy voice of Lynn Siwek was silenced. Her friends and coworkers will long remember the brightness of her smile and the grand pleasure of her company as we share the grief of her husband, Jack, and chil- dren, Kristen and Mark. Lynn be- gan her career at Metal Finishing in 1974, working in the circula- tion department until 1991. After a brief time at another company, she returned to Metal Finishing in 1992 as Editorial Assistant. We pray that the many happier mem- ories of Lynn's life, shortened too soon by a mercifully brief disease, will sustain and support her fam- ily, friends, and coworkers. chael O. He will also maintain quality assurance, productivity, and development of the depart- ment. Prior to this position Yust was Chief Operating Officer at a metal fabricating company in Fond du Lac, Wis. F. Norman Christopher will take over as Chief Executive Offi- cer of Haviland Enterprises Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich. Chris- topher has been serving as Presi- dent and Chief Operating Officer of Haviland Enterprises since March 1999. Christopher's back- ground includes a range of educa- tion and experience in the chemi- cal industry. Before joining the firm he held a senior manage- ment position with Lubrizol. Prior to that he held industry positions in sales, marketing, general management, commer- cial development, and venture management. Osmonics, Minnetonka, Minn., announced that Mike Fabich has joined the firm as General Manager of the Household Wa- ter Treatment Global Marketing Unit. Fa- bich, formerly Vice President, Wa- ter Products with Erie Mfg. Co., brings more than 17 years ofexpe- rience in the water treatment in- dustry to his new role. Berry has been with MacDermid for 9 years, previously working in the Techni- cal Service Area.
