What’s Happening in Metal Finishing Dennis R. Masarik has been pro- ecutive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Kocour Co., Chicago. Masarik previously served as Technical Director for Kocour and was instrumental in implementing IS0 9001:2000 certi- fication as well as for the installa- tion of the company’s management software and networked hardware system. With 30 years of experi- ence in the metal-finishing indus- try, Masarik has held management positions in manufacturing, techni- cal service, research and develop- ment, and marketing and sales. He has a BS degree, an MS degree from Purdue University, and a JD from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Deveco Corp. has hired Tom Pedigo as Technical Serviceman for the southeastern region, including Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, and Tennessee. He will provide technical service for Deveco’s metal-finishing and plating chemistries, working with customers in the region to improve their operations. He has over 30 years of experience in the metal-finishing industry Massachusetts and has extensive experience in consulting and engi- neering services. His responsibili- ties at M&A include environmen- tal site investigation, remedial system design and implementa- tion, due diligence assessment, new facility design and construc- tion, and regulatory agency negoti- ation-liaison. Prior to joining Houghton and Bencyn, Fisher spent 14 years in the environ- mental sector, holding Plant Manager and Operational Management positions with Heritage Environmental Services and Laidlaw Ltd.

It is with deep regret that Serfilco announces the pass- ing away of Paul R. Sandre. He was the Eastern Regional

SERFILCO Ltd. since 1995. He was an active member of AESF and was an ASNT certified Level III in various methods of nonde- structive testing. He died on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the very young age of 55. In Paul’s spare time he enjoyed coaching hockey, skiing, and skating. He will be greatly missed by all.
