Alison Glass, our featured designer this issue, is a surface and space designer living in Virginia with her husband, daughter, and son. Aspiring to create a career for herself, Alison started a design business in 2007 focusing on space remodels and custom home decor pieces. These classes are open to any BERNINA sewing machine owner. Registration is necessary as class size is limited. Cancellation calls are appreciated as this allows another student to fill that space. The class instruction fee is FREE if your machine was purchased at The Sewing Palace. If you purchased your BERNINA elsewhere, we welcome you to our classes, but there is a fee of $50.
SEWING MACHINE - Level IThis BERNINA class will take you from setting up and threading your machine through all the features that the machine offers.
SEWING MACHINE & EMBROIDERY - Level IIThis BERNINA class will show the ins and outs of sewing machine set-up, memory & specialty programming. Embroidery machines mastery is also offered. For machines with colored screens. Machines 560,570,580 and the 7 & Series.
SEWING MACHINE MASTERY Level IIIThis class is for 770e, 790 and 8 series owners. This BERNINA class will teach you to use the Combi-mode as a way to design your own embroidery, use the embroidery shaping function, rescale designs, add lettering, and use Color Wheel and Stitch Designer.
V7 EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE MASTERYJoin Natalie to learn all the exciting, creative things you can do with the BERNINA Embroidery Software. All software levels are covered in this class.
BERNINA STITCH REGULATORBring your BERNINA Stitch Regulator. Learn with Julie how to use this amazing quilting and thread painting accessory. You are welcome to take this class multiple times if you desire to learn more.

When you purchase a brand new machine from The Sewing Palace, we encourage you to learn all of the aspects of your new machine, therefore, we reward you with a $25 gift certificate upon completion of your New Owner classes (within 6 months after purchase). This gift certificate, included with your warranty card, is validated by the teacher. Sandra Larson Swick has been selling, sewing and teaching on BERNINA machines professionally for more than 14 years. She is an award winning quilter, with the honor of making the first “Quilt in Space.”
As a professional educator earning a degree in education from the University of Oregon, Sandra has used her teaching skills to share her love of sewing and textiles with students in the Pacific Northwest and Southwest. She is a master teacher in embroidery, garment construction, quilting, specialty projects and crafts. Her advanced education in curriculum and instruction provide inspired projects and classes for the youngest to most experienced students.
