New Project View

The Project view has been enhanced to allow you to enter, view, and manage more project data in a
spreadsheet interface. User friendly and efficient, you
can now easily be on top of your project, by having it
on one screen.
Project View is divided into four panes; Spreadsheet pane, Time-phase pane, Tabbed pane, and Time-phase Detail pane. Each pane allows you to look at different parts of the project including information about dates, materials, costs, code, and other resources.

Spreadsheet pane allows you to navigate to different control accounts, work
packages, and resources associated with the
project.
The Spreadsheet pane through increased functionality allows you to work directly in the grid to easily view, add and edit information. You can copy and paste data, add and order columns, and filter on one or more columns by clicking the column header. This increased functionality of Spreadsheets in Cobra 8.0 directly helps usability for you and your employees.
Time-Phase Pane/Toggle Results

Time Phase Pane displays detail for each resource
assignment as well as summary time-phased detail for the control accounts and work
packages. More efficiently it displays the time-phased costs
associated with the selected resource in the Spreadsheet
pane.
Time-Phase also allows you to Toggle the results, so you can view, add, and edit time-phasing in various units such as hours or dollars. This feature increases usability and allows you to easily analyze the resources used in a project.
Tabbed Pane/New Code Tab

The Tabbed Pane displays detailed
information for a selected control account or work package and allows you to edit the information.
It consists of a new element the Codes Tab, which allows you to view and edit code assignments for the element selected in the Spreadsheet pane. You can now efficiently manage and edit codes at your own convenience.
Time-Phase Detail Pane

Time-phase Detail pane, which displays
full calculation details of the
selected resource assignment.
The time phased detail for all resources assigned to a project can be viewed and edited. You can plan in hours, total dollars, FTEs, or other units by simply toggling the view. In addition, the time-phased values are rolled-up to provide summary detail.
The Cobra ribbon contains tabs with commands for easier access to Cobra
functionalities. The commands that display on the tabs depend on the view that
you are currently in.
Increased Transparency and Efficiency for your access tools!
The Cobra button provides you with tools for managing your projects and data. The Quick Access Toolbar allows you to customize the toolbar that displays frequently used command and options. Any command in Cobra can be added to the toolbar. The toolbar can be displayed above or below the ribbon.

You can now properly use the calculations and metrics required for
any project, in order to be efficient and correct at any given time!
Calculated Fields

Cobra now allows you to create calculated fields that you can add in the Spreadsheet pane of the Project view. Using calculated fields, you can perform arithmetic operations such as ADD, SUBTRACT, DIVIDE, and MULTIPLY on the values in the Spreadsheet pane. These fields allow you to view custom metrics and KPIs for your organization.
Filtering

You can now use filters in the Spreadsheet pane to limit the display of items based on your selections. Allowing you to be more
efficient in your search, and how you organize your project.
You can quickly select values for a specific column using the Standard Filter dialog box, or you can create filter expressions using the Advanced Filter dialog box. You can also filter multiple columns at a time.
The wInsight Export process has been updated to allow you to select which result codes to
export as element of cost values.
This feature also includes a grid called Include these result codes as elements of cost, where you can select one or more result codes to include in the XML file during data export. This allows for easy customer usability and analyzation of results.
