I. Installation Guide
How to install automatically
If the Update Product Automatically option is set as True and your computer is connected to the
internet, the application scans and updates your computer when it starts. You can also use Help >
Check For Update. This command updates the product automatically to the latest available version.
How to install manually 1. Download the zip file in the XOR/Redesign list from the Rapidform
website: http://www.rapidform.com/softwareupdate
2. Unzip the zip file in a temporary directory.
3. Double-click the .exe file and follow the instructions.
Now, you can run Rapidform XOR and check the version by clicking Help > About

II. What’s New in XOR2 SP1 Hotfix8 1. Enhanced Functions
General
(1) XRL file version
XRL file version has been upgraded to 2.8. You can check the version of XRL file in the
Summary Information of Open Model File window.
(2) Hide startup splash screen
When a splash screen appears while staring the application, you can hide the splash
screen by clicking on it.
User Interface
(3) Display suppressed mesh /point cloud
The Suppressed option under the Mesh/Point Cloud category in the Display tab is
newly added. This option enables you to show / hide suppressed meshes and point
clouds.
File I/O
(4) Import scan file from FARO Scene 4.6
The application supports newly updated FARO’s .fls and .fws file format. Therefore you
can import these files generated from FARO Scene 4.6.
(5) Support Optimet’s .opd file version 5.0

The application supports newly updated Optimet’s .opd file version 5.0.
Scanner Direct Control
(6) Acquire probe point automatically
The Auto Probe option is newly added in the Probe Options dialog box in Insert >
Scanner Direct Control > liveScan(TM). If you hold the probe tip still at a position for a
while, the probe position is acquired automatically without the A button signal. Pressing
the A button changes the acquisition status to Pause and Resume. In the Pause state,
no probe position is acquired, even if the probe is held at a position. In Resume state,
this scheme works. You can see the current status at the top right in Model View.
(7) Support for FARO 64-bit The [FARO] FaroArm/ScanArm device under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control >
liveScan(TM) command is supported in the 64-bit edition.
(8) Support for Breuckmann 64-bit
The Breuckmann device under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control command
supports OptoCAT ver.2009 32-bit and 64-bit, so you can also use it in the 64-bit edition.
(9) Range 7 supports RangeViewr 1.3 (64-bit only)
The Range 7 device under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control command supports a
new version of the Range 7 application - RangeViewer 1.3.

(10) Handyscan supports VxScan 3.1
The Creaform Handyscan 3D device under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control
command supports a new version of HandyScan application - VxScan ver.3.1.
(11) ZScanner supports ZScan 3.1
The Z Corporation ZScanner device under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control
command supports a new version of ZScanner application - ZScan ver.3.1.
(12) Support for new Kreon device - Solano
The [Kreon] Scanner under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control > liveScan(TM)
command supports their new scanner Solano.
2. List of Fixed Bugs
General
(1) Problem in setting View Manipulation Style to CATIA
When you change View Manipulation Style to CATIA in Preferences under the General
tab, the changed manipulator style did not work properly. The application only supported
the RMB function even though the CATIA setting should support LMB and RMB. This bug
has now been fixed.
(2) Problem in finding the license server
In case if you have used the floating license server in Windows XP 64-bit operating system
and when you execute the application in client machine, it could not find the license server
in the server PC. There was a problem that the application could not access the license
server and it was just using the evaluation license system. This bug has now been fixed.
(3) Problem in PIP windows
When you use the PIP window and close it by using the enter key while some command

was running, the PIP window did not completely disappear, and its shadow was still visible
until the application was closed. This bug has now been fixed.
(4) Connecting with online help
The scanner direct control commands such as Creaform, ZScan, VIVID, Roland,
Breuckmann, Range7 were not connected to online help when you press the F1 key on
the keyboard. This bug has now been fixed.
File I/O
(5) Problem in importing *pts file format which has color information
There were some cases that color information of .pts file was not properly imported. This
bug now has been fixed.
(6) Import .txt file format by drag and drop
When you imported some *.txt file by using Drag and Drop into the application, the ASCII
Convert should be invoked. However the application would crash sometimes. This bug has
now been fixed.
(7) Import .rgv / .rvm file format
When you imported an *.rgv file that had been created by the Range 7 scanner and saved
it with the sampling function, such as 1/4, 1/9, 1/16, etc, even though the Point Only option
was turned off, the application would still import only point clouds. There was problem that
the Point Only option did not work correctly. This bug has now been fixed.
(8) Problem in the scaling with .iges file
The scale of a curve changes while exporting the curve profiles in .iges file format. This
bug has now been fixed.
(9) Problem in importing with *.iges file

Sometimes, you cannot correctly import a *.iges file. This bug has now been fixed.
(10) Problem in importing Range 7 files
- When you imported *.rvm and *.rgv files, some spike faces were not removed and then
imported.
- When you imported *.rvm and *.rgv files, the transform matrix information was not
properly worked internally.
These bugs have now been fixed.
(11) Problem in importing .obj files with texture
Sometimes the texture information in the .obj file format was not imported. This bug has
now been fixed.
(12) Problem in importing .cdm files with texture
Sometimes texture images of a .cdm file which was created by the VIVID scanner was
abnormally imported. This bug has now been fixed.
Point Cloud
(13) Problem in offset direction in the Point Cloud mode
Even though the flip direction button in the offset command was toggled on when all of the
points were offset, it only offsets in the positive direction. This bug has now been fixed.
Sketch
(14) Problem in Auto Sketch in the Sketch mode
Even though the Auto Sketch command could not be used in the Sketch mode, it was
displayed as an active command. This bug has now been fixed.
(15) Problem in creating complex splines

When you create complex splines in 2D Sketch, sometimes the splines would become
jagged and you won’t be able to use the spline for solid modeling. This bug has now been
fixed.
Ref. Geometry
(16) Problem in selecting boundary for creating ref. geometry
If you selected the Extract method to create a ref. geometry, you could not select a
boundary of the model. This bug has now been fixed.
Solid / Surface / Feature
(17) Problem in the editing the surface loft
When you edit a loft surface for adding a new profile, sometimes the application would
crash. This bug has now been fixed.
(18) Option display error
When you edited a trim feature which had errors, the result option group was shown in the
first stage. This bug has now been fixed.
(19) Problem in the Untrim command When you executed the Untirm command and then clicked the Preview or OK button with
the specific model, sometimes an error message 'Encountered an improper argument’ is
displayed on the screen. After then when you clicked the OK button, you could not
terminate the command. This bug has now been fixed.
(20) Fill Hole with the Flatness Of Filled Holes option
When you executed the Fill Hole command with the Curvature method, the Flatness Of
Filled Holes option did not work properly. This bug has now been fixed.
(21) Problem in Split Face

The erroneous Split Face feature in the Feature tree caused a model disappear while you
rebuild it. This bug has now been fixed.
liveTransfer ™
(22) Problem in the liveTransfer to Pro/E in multi-bite language
When you transferred some model to Pro/E using the liveTransfer to Pro/E command, the
application could not export any feature that was written multi-bite characters such as
Japanese and Chinese, symbols in the annotation etc. This bug has now been fixed.
(23) Problem in the liveTransfer command
When the application tries to transfer a model to other CAD modeler such as Pro/E, UGS
NX4 and NX5, etc and if the application cannot find the installed path, the application asks
for the execution file path for the CAD modeler. But, the execution file path you enter
doesn’t get saved. So you have to input the path whenever you try to liveTransfer. This bug
has now been fixed.
(24) Problem in liveTransfer to SolidWorks
When you created multiple bodies made by using a 3D curve as a Path Curve entity in the
Curve Pattern command, these bodies made a crash during liveTransfer to SolidWorks.
This bug has now been fixed.
(25) Problem in the liveTransfer command
LiveTransfer paused on suppressed features if that feature is selected as the Pause At
option. Now suppressed features are ignored from a Pause At entity. This bug has now
been fixed.
Scanner Direct Control
(26) Problem in the VIVID direction control command
If you used the Multi Depth option and the Texture option at the same time, the

application crashes while scanning. There was a problem that the Multi Depth option was
incompatible with the Texture option in the VIVID Direction Control command. This bug
has now been fixed.
(27) VIVID 910 file save error
In case “Save Raw Data” option was turned on, a raw data from the VIVID 910 scanner
was incorrectly saved into *.cdk file format and you cannot not open it later. This bug has
now been fixed.
(28) Supporting JS-Tech turntable
Breuckmann Direct Control did not support the JS-Tech USB type turntable in the
application. Now it is supported.
(29) Supporting OptoCAT software (Ver. 2006)
The application did not support the OptoCAT program (Ver. 2006) for Breuckmann Direct
Control. This bug has now been fixed.
Measure
(30) Disappearing the measured volume property
The name of volume property disappeared when you measured the volume using the
calculation button in the Property panel. This bug has now been fixed.
(31) Problem in measuring angle
When you try to measure the angle between a plane and a vector which were orthogonal
each other, if you select the plane first, the measurement was correct. But if you select the
vector first, the result was calculated incorrectly. This bug has now been fixed.

Add-Ins
(32) Problem in the Import Large Data command
When you import scan data using the Import Large Data command where the Suppress
option gets turned on, the application did not work properly and nothing happens. This bug
has now been fixed.
(33) Problem in the Global Register command
The Use Only Reliable Scan Data option was not properly worked when you executed the
Global Register command. This bug has now been fixed.

1. Enhanced Functions
General
(1) XRL file version
XRL file version has been upgraded to 2.7. You can check the version of XRL file in the
Summary Information of Open Model File window.
(2) Auto-filled bug report form
When you report a bug through the crash window, basic information such as your
product information and system information is automatically filled out.
File I/O
(3) Custom path to Pro/E Wildfire
If you have installed several versions of Pro/E Wildfire, and you want to transfer the
model data by using the liveTransfer(TM) To Pro/E Wildfire command, you can select a
particular Pro/E Wildfire version through the Use Custom Pro/E File Path option.

Solid / Surface / Feature
(4) Emboss using multiple loops
Previously you were able to use only a single loop for the Emboss command, now you
can select multiple loops.
(5) Split Face by a plane
When you split a face (Insert > Modeling Feature > Split Face) by using the
Intersection method, you can select a planar entity under Tool Entities.

Scanner Direct Control
(6) Port of rotary table
The COM Port for connection of the rotary table in VIVID and Breuckmann has been
increased up to 20.
(7) VIVID 64-bit
The VIVID scan device is additionally compatible with the 64-bit edition of the application.
(8) Mesh buildup wizard message box
When you try to terminate the scanner direct control such as Creaform, Z-Scan, VIVID,
Roland, Range7 and Breuckmann, the message box, “Do you want to run Mesh Buildup
Wizard?”, will appear.
(9) Generating point normal - liveScan
When you acquire a mesh or point cloud by using the Touch Probe device, each point’s
normal will be defined as the probing direction. This normal information is useful for
enhanced display of a point cloud.
(10) Custom compensation - liveScan
The Use Custom Compensation option has been newly added in the Probe Options
window. You can compensate the probe radius by the direction of the global axis or the
probe axis.

(11) New Ref. Point creation method - liveScan
The Intersection Points On A Plane method has been newly added under the liveScan
command. When you select Touch Probe device, with Feature Type as Ref.
Geometries and Entity Type as Ref. Points, you can select the new method. This
method creates a ref. point between a plane and a line connecting two points.
(12) Enhanced display of huge scan data - liveScan
Previously when you gathered more than 5,000,000 scan points, refreshing of the
graphics window was delayed. Now it is enhanced and you can rotate, move and pan
huge scan data without a delay.

(13) FARO probe setting - liveScan
The Select Probe button is enabled under the FARO device. You can change the probe
diameter with this button as with the Calibration button.
(14) Compensate point normal - liveScan
Previously when you stopped gathering a point cloud with a scanner, a message box
appeared asking you to decide whether to use the compensate point normal function.
Now it becomes an option under Point Cloud in the Scanner Options dialog box. If you
use this option, the application generates normals of the point cloud. This option is
enabled when you do not check the Triangulate option.
Note
If this option is checked, the normal is calculated by 2D triangulate algorithm, If the option
is not checked, the scanning direction acquired in real-time is used for the normal.

When you set the path “Cache Folder For Unloading And Back Up” in the preferences, you
must enter the “\” symbol at the path’s end. This bug has now been fixed.
(2) Problem in Profiler
Whenever the application executes the Profiler, you can see the “Rapidform Cache Folder”
in the profiling window. However this path is not matched exactly. This bug has now been
fixed.
(3) Vertical Scroll bar
When you resize the Profile View while the Fillet, Helix and Spiral commands are running,
the vertical scroll bar disappears. This bug has now been fixed.
File I/O
(4) Some IGES(*.igs) format files could not be imported in previous versions
When you tried to import some *.igs files, the application could not import them in previous
versions. This bug has now been fixed.
(5) Import with Point Only option
When you imported a certain file which is a formatted XO Model (xdl), rapidform2006
Model (mdl), Rapidform Polygons (fcs), STL (stl), VRML 1.0/97 (wrl), 3D Studio (3ds), Obj
(obj), Kreon (grk), NextEngine (scn), AutoCAD Dxf (dxf), Ansys (ans), Nastran (dat, nas),
Picza (pix) and Solutionix (icv, snx) by checking the “Points Only” option, occasionally the
sampling process is not applied on the imported data. This bug has now been fixed.
(6) Export 3D Sketch
When you exported 3D Sketch entity, some curves were missing according to the
geometric situation of curves. This bug has now been fixed.
(7) Opening *.igs files in other CAD applications

When you exported an *.igs file and opened it in another CAD program, occasionally the
trimmed surface body would be changed to an untrimmed surface body. This bug has now
been fixed.
(8) Import the *.obj file format with the Include Texture option
Sometimes the application did not import the color information in *.obj files. This bug has
now been fixed.
Mesh
(9) Problem in certain files with texture information
If you imported certain *.obj, *.wrl and other file formats and then modified the mesh by
smoothing or fill hole, etc., right after modification all the texture information would
sometimes change strangely. This bug has now been fixed.
(10) Problem in Healing Wizard
When you tried to edit the mesh by using the “Healing Wizard” command with the “Small
Tunnels” option checked, and then set “Poly-Face Count In Tunnels” to a proper value, it
would not match with drawing number of “Small Tunnels”. This bug has now been fixed.
(11) Problem in Remove Marker command
When you executed the Remove Marker command in Mesh mode, you could see the
selected marker on the model. However you could not see it in the Markers list in the
Dialog Tree. This bug has now been fixed.
Sketch
(12) Problem in Mesh Sketch setup with a Point Cloud
If you executed the Mesh Sketch on Point Clouds, the application displayed the Silhouette
Range arrow in Model View. This bug has now been fixed.

(13) Sketch Updating
If you created a solid/surface by using the Primitive command and edited the sketch, the
solid/surface would not be changed according to the sketch. This bug has now been fixed.

(14) Ref. Plane previewing
When you created or edited any ref. geometry, sometimes you could not see the geometry
for previewing because it was located behind other entities. This bug has now been fixed.
Solid / Surface / Feature
(15) Maintaining selection in Split Face command
Even though you selected an entity before executing the Split Face command, the
selection was not maintained as Tool Entity. This bug has been fixed now.
(16) Problem in Match command
The ‘Orthogonal’ option in Match command in 3D Sketch Mode should be enabled or
disabled according to the ‘Target Entity’. However this did not work properly. This bug has
now been fixed.
(17) Showing a preview after Transform Body as Datum Alignment method
Execute the Transform Body command and select Datum Alignment as the method. Click
Previous Stage, and then click the Next button. Select Scale or By Matrix as the method.
You would see a silhouette which was related to Datum Alignment in the previous stage.
This bug has now been fixed.
(18) Problem in Fillet command
When you executed the Fillet command by selecting Variable Fillet as method and selected
two entities as Entities, there were two edit controls for fillet radius at the same position
which is common with two entities. This bug has now been fixed.

(19) Problem in Rollback and Repeat Last command
If you ran "Repeat Last" command after you edited a feature and changed roll position by
Rollback, the application crashed. This bug has now been fixed.
(20) Selecting an open curve in the Sweep command
Execute the Sweep command. When you select an open curve as the Profile and then click
OK, sometimes the application might crash. This bug has now been fixed.
(21) Problem in List Control of Dialog Tree
When you scrolled entities in list control of dialog tree by moving scroll bar, sometimes the
Up & Down arrow button was positioned improperly. This bug has now been fixed.
(22) Updating alignment with Global and Fine
When you tried to Suppress or Unsuppress features before trying to align via the Align
command with the Global and Fine method, the result of the alignment would not be
applied. This bug has now been fixed.
(23) Problem in Section command
Go to 3D Sketch mode. Execute the Section command and select Mesh or Point Cloud as
target and Cylindrical as method. If the direction of Axis entity is (0, 0, -1), the bounding
box of target mesh or point cloud would become (0, 0, 0). This bug has now been fixed.
liveTransfer ™
(24) Install path of UGS NX
Whenever the application tries to transfer to UGS NX, you can see the NX Execution File
Path window. Sometimes the application does not search for the install path automatically
and the user must set it manually again. However, even though its path is saved at the
registry, the application requires the install path message. This bug has now been fixed.

(25) Problem in liveTransfer™ to UGS NX
When executing the liveTransfer™ to UGS NX command, the application would show the
“file already exists” error message on certain machines, and then this command would not
work. This bug has now been fixed.
(26) Problem in liveTransfer(TM) To SolidWorks
When you tried to transfer your model that included trimmed and merged surfaces to
SolidWorks (File >liveTransfer(TM) To> SolidWorks), the application would produce a
“Transfer Paused Due to Build Error” message. This bug has now been fixed.
Scanner Direct Control
(27) RangeViewer: Thumbnail List [64bit Only]
When you transfer scan data from “RangeViewer” to the application, The Thumbnail list
does not match between the names of the exported scan data and the imported data. This
bug has now been fixed.
(28) Breuckmann batch scan setting
When you executed the Breuckmann command (Insert > Scanner Direct Control >
Breuckmann) and applied batch scan, the application might crash. This bug has now been
fixed.
(29) Problem in Breuckmann command
When you pressed the Enter on the keyboard, the command would be closed. This bug
has now been fixed.
(30) Problem in Breuckmann command
When you closed the Breuckmann command, the alignment is canceled. Therefore some

In a certain model, when you selected an entity as Base Plane, the application showed

(9) Problem in length information of Fit Spline
When selecting a sketch which has Fit Spline in the Feature Tree and if you enter the edit
mode and exit by clicking the Cancel button, the length of the spline is shown as zero in
the Properties panel. This bug has now been fixed.

In the Sketch mode, when performing the Undo or Redo command, the constrain status

(1) New liveScan device: [RSI] MicroScan/MicroScribe [32 bit only] The device, MicroScan, is newly added to the liveScan command.
(2) Exit liveScan and Mesh Buildup Wizard Previously, when you exit liveScan, the application automatically opened up the Mesh
Buildup Wizard to make a single mesh. Now the dialog box (“Proceed to the scan data
processing with Mesh Build Wizard?”) appears so that you can select Yes or No.
(3) Roland LPX: Cutoff Angle The option, Cutoff Angle, is added in Roland LPX. While scanning, the scanner gathers the
points of an object within the angle between the scan direction and the object’s normal
direction. Users can input the value from 0 to 90.

(5) The title of Subdivide command
While you were executing Subdivide command, when you previewed the result, and then
restored the original mesh, the title of “Subdivide” was changed to “Subdivide (Poly-

(8) Showing an Entity after Boolean

(9) Triangulate command from Long Range Scanner scan data
When you triangulate scan data (especially from long range scanners) imported with
wrong unit and then scaled in 2D Triangulation command (under the Add-ins menu) with
Spherical method, many sharp and long triangles might exist even though you have
inputted a proper value in the Max Edge Length option. This bug has been fixed now.
(10) Transform Body’s uniform scale
If you entered a value under 0.002 as the uniform scale value in the Transform Body
command, the uniform scale was not executed properly. This bug has been fixed now.
(11) Auto Surface with non-manifold poly-faces
When you executed the Auto Surface command with selected mesh as Reference Mesh
which had non-manifold poly-faces, the application might crash. This bug has been fixed
now.

(12) Hollow preview
If you executed Hollow command with no face in Remove Faces selection, the error
message showed up. You could get the proper result, however, by clicking OK button.
This bug has been fixed now.
(13) Rebuild converted entity
Features created using sketches which include converted entities from other features
may not updated automatically, when there was a change in the parent feature of a
converted entity, the features must update changed entities at the same time. However
the application did not update correctly. This bug has been fixed now.
(14) Mixed up message between Revolve and Extrude
When sketch entities did not form a closed loop and if you executed the Revolve
command, the error message showed that of the Extrude command, and vice versa in
Extrude command. This bug has been fixed now.
Scanner Direct Control
(15) FWS file format from FARO Scanner
When you imported a FWS file which has already aligned model data in FARO Scene
software, the alignment information was not correctly imported. This bug has been fixed
now.
(16) Roland LPX
If an object was located away from the center of the plate and scanned by Roland LPX
scanner, some parts of scan data had reverse normal. This bug has been fixed now.
(17) Move Device in liveScan
If you executed Move Device command in liveScan two or more times, acquired scan

(1) Support Konica Minolta Range 7’s RVM file format The Range 7’s .rvm file is supported by the application.

Range 7 command. If you are acquiring very huge point or mesh data at a time from the
scanner, use the Suppress option in the dialog tree. The huge data will be imported and then

(4) RangeViewer: Erroneous string [64 bit Only]
In the menu of RangeViewer, the string of transferring scan data to Rapidform XOR is
written as “To: RangeViewer”. This string is changed as “To: Rapidform”.
(5) RangeViewer: Normal of scan data [64 bit Only]
Sometimes, when you transfer scan data from “RangeViewer” to “Rapidform XOR”, the
normal of scan data may be flipped, mesh data may be generated inaccurately and
alignment may not be applied. This bug has been fixed now.
(6) Konica Minolta VIVID: Normal generation
When you do scanning or import raw data in the Konica Minolta VIVID panel with the “No
Polygon” option, the normal of scan data is not generated.

VIII. What’s New in XOR2 SP1 Hotfix2 1. New Functions
(1) Direct control Roland LPX (32 bit only) Roland LPX is added under the Insert > Scanner Direct Control menu.
(2) New Add-In: Delete Poly-Faces Delete Poly-Faces is added under the Add-Ins menu. You can simply select poly-faces and
remove them without entering the Mesh mode. This command is applicable to multiple
meshes.
(3) New Add-In: Trim Mesh Trim Mesh is added under the Add-Ins menu. Previously, when you trim a mesh with a curve,
you need to draw a curve and change its order in the modeling history – copy the mesh below
the curve in the Feature Tree. This command enables you to trim a mesh without entering the
Mesh mode and regardless of modeling history.

clouds without normals, the normal calculation algorithm is internally enhanced. Therefore

(1) Problem in tooltip
If a sentence in tooltip is very long without white space (such as Japanese), the sentence
moves to the next line with “-“character. This bug has been fixed now.
(2) Problem in Icon at the menu
On the icon in the menu, “R” symbol for the evaluation version are written but some icon
such as Offset, Silhouette, Merge etc in 2D Sketch mode do not have it. This bug has
been fixed now.
(3) Problem in user account of shortcut
The shortcut icon is created only in the installed user account such as administrator
account. Therefore local accounts are not able to use the application. Also even if you
can make the shortcut icon manually, sometimes the shortcut icon doesn’t work. This bug
has been fixed now.
(4) Tooltip of Surface UV Curve

(7) 3D mouse error
When you use a 3D mouse, the directions of tilt, spin and roll are reversed. This bug has
been fixed now.
File I/O
(8) Import IGES file format with Ref. Vector
Export the Ref. Vector as IGS file format and then import it again. The application might
not work properly. This bug has been fixed now.
(9) Import RGV file format
When you import RGV file format, name of point clouds or meshes are set as the default
name. This bug has been fixed now.
(10) Import RWL file format [RapidWorks 2.3.1]
Select the File > Open in the menu. You can open an RWL file format, which has format
1.x version and 2.x version. However, if you open the 1.x version by double clicking, may
be you cannot open it. This bug has been fixed.
(11) Import RWL file format [RapidWorks 2.3.1]
When you open an RWL file format by double clicking on the file folder, The CGI/CAD
toolbar do not work properly. This bug has been fixed now.
(12) Import PTS file format without header
When you import a PTS file format which was formatted as x, y, z without the header and
it is not Rapidform’s file format, the ASCII converter does not show up and the
application crashes. This bug has been fixed now.

(14) Tools > Mesh Tools > Defeature
When you try to apply the Defeature command with the Bridge option and the Curvature
method and if mesh selecting is not appropriate, the application shows the “Out of
memory” message. This bug has been fixed now.
(15) Problem in Trim command
In the Mesh mode, when there are holes or boundary edge around trim curves,
occasionally trimming fails. This bug has been fixed now.
(16) Problem in Mesh Buildup Wizard command
When you import the meshes and go to Mesh Buildup Wizard and then close it, the
application does not show the save window and directly this command is closed. This
bug has been fixed now.
(17) Problem in Decimate command
If poly-faces are very large or small, the result of around these poly-faces is not
reasonable after decimation. This bug has been fixed now.
Point Cloud
(18) Problem in sampling result
Import a point cloud with “Float” precision in the Import dialog box and execute the
Sampling command with the Curvature method in the Point Cloud mode. All point clouds
converge to a line shape. This bug has been fixed now.

(19) Entities highlight display
After you save a model, the highlights of selected entities are displayed at wrong place.
Also if the custom resolution is so small in the Capture Screen, then this bug occurs. This
bug has been fixed now.
(20) The Constraint of 2D Sketch entities
Occasionally, the constraint information is not shown in the 2D Sketch Entities. This bug
has been fixed now.
(21) Problem in Section command
When you apply Section command with multiple point clouds, Searching Depth value is
changed according to the point cloud selection order. This bug has been fixed now.
(22) Import polyline without section polyline and other sketch entities
In the 2D Mesh Sketch mode, import only polyline without section polylines and other
sketch entities. If you edit it, the application crashes. This bug has been fixed now.
(23) Editing curve network in the 3D Mesh Sketch
In the 3D Mesh Sketch mode, when you try to edit the curve networks by moving nodes
and escape this mode, the joined/connected curve networks are broken and the
application occasionally crashes. This bug has been fixed now.
(24) Problem in hidden entities selection
Select either solid bodies or surface bodies and turn off the visibility of body entity (View>
Surface Bodies or Surface Bodies) in the Model View. If you drag and select the area
where the hidden solid or surface bodies exist, these entities can be selected even they
are hidden status. This bug has been fixed now.
(25) Problem in Text command

Go to the 2D Sketch mode. Try to write text by using the Text command and set the value
for the Height option below 1.2mm. The text is not created properly. This bug has been

Solid / Surface / Feature
(26) Problem in Auto Surfacing command
Edit the curve network by executing auto surface command and check Reference mesh
as method. Occasionally dangling points are displayed in the patch network which are
not connected with other curves but this command is worked normally. This bug has
been fixed now.
(27) Problem in Boundary fit command
When model scale or data size is so big, sometimes the boundary fit command fails.
Though between the curve intersection node and the corner point of trimmed mesh is so
close, boundary fit fails. This bug has been fixed now.
(28) Problem in creating feature with checking Accuracy Analyzer
Check the Accuracy Analyzer for the preview body, while you are creating a feature by
using Loft, Sweep or Revolve etc, and then apply it. The visibility of mesh is maintained
before try commands. This bug has been fixed now.
(29) Problem in Variable fillet option
When you execute the Fillet command with the Variable Fillet method on the edges which
are interconnected, change the radius value by clicking on the Model View, the altered
radius is not applied on the preview window directly. This bug has been fixed now.
(30) Problem in Helix command
In case your model is in “inch” environment in the application, the Profile View of the
Helix command is still shown as “mm” environment. This bug has been fixed now.

(32) VIVID: Import Raw Data
The option of the Import Raw Data window disappears in the Konica Minolta VIVID (Inset
> Scanner Direct Control > Konica Minolta VIVID) in the Windows Vista operating system.

(33) VIVID: Registration of Rotary Table
When you use the Plate type, the result of Rotary Table Calibration was not accurate.

liveTransfer ™
(34) Problem in the path setting of the UGS NX
Whenever the application tries to transfer to UGS NX, you can see the NX Execution File
Path window. Though the path is set, always it is reset and user must set it again and
again. This bug has been fixed now.
(35) Problem in liveTransfer(TM) To SolidWorks
When you try to transfer your model to SolidWorks (File >liveTransfer(TM) To>
SolidWorks) which has variable fillet, the application crashes in a certain model. This bug

IX. What’s New in XOR2 SP1 Hotfix1 1. New Functions
(1) Import Large Data Import Large Data is newly added under the Add-Ins menu. Basically it is similar to Insert >
Import, but the Suppress option is added and the Mesh Buildup Wizard option is removed in
the Import dialog box. The Suppress/Unsuppress mechanism manages data and memory by
swapping the data dynamically in between the physical memory and the hard disk. Thus very
large data set can be dealt with efficiently. The swapping time for Load / Unload is very short
when compared with its whole data processing time, so the calculation overhead is negligible.
This command is available only for mesh or point cloud.
(2) Import & Split Import & Split is newly added under the Add-Ins menu. You can split scan data using
number of vertices or number of meshes (point clouds) while importing. ASC, STL, OBJ and
PLY formats are currently available for this command. If you cannot import very huge data at
a time, use this command with Suppress option in the Import dialog box. The huge data will
be separately imported and then they will be loaded on your hard disk (Suppress).
(3) Global Register Global Register is newly added under the Add-Ins menu. This command aligns selected
scan data as accurately as possible using the overlapping regions. Basically this command is
same as Tools > Scan Tools > Align however you can select suppressed scan data in this
command.
(4) Triangulate/Merge Large Data Triangulate/Merge Large Data is newly added under the Add-Ins menu. This command
allows you to triangulate and merge huge mesh or point cloud. For huge data processing,
suppressed mesh or point cloud can be selected in the command, but the textures of mesh or
point cloud will be converted as colored point information after triangulate/merge.
(5) Scanner direct control: Range 7 (64 bit Only)

You can directly control Range 7 scanner in XOR2 64 bit (Insert > Scanner Direct Control >
Range 7). To execute this command, RangeViewer should be installed previously on your
machine.
(6) Scanner direct control: Handyscan 3D and Zscanner 700 in XOR2 64 bit Now you also can directly control Creaform Handyscan 3D and Z Corporation ZScanner
700 in XOR2 64 bit such as in XOR2 32 bit. These two command are located under Insert >
Scanner Direct Control.
2. Enhanced Functions
General
(1) Installation on Windows Vista Previously, if you enable UAC (User Account Control) on Windows Vista, installation is not
performed properly. Now a dialog box which asks password appears so that you can install
the application without problem.
(2) Display suppressed data in Add-Ins command If there exist suppressed meshes or point clouds and you run a command under Add-Ins
menu, the following message box appears and suppressed data will be displayed. In case the
data is very huge, the application displays the model with sampling.
(3) Performance Profiler Performance Profiler which checks your hardware performance and set the most suitable

value to your application has been updated. Profiling time has been reduced and Profiler
does not make the result as HTML file except when you run it from the Help > Launch
Performance Profiler menu.
(4) Shading point cloud without normal information Use Shader Programs for Enhanced Rendering is newly added in File > Preferences >
Hardware > OpenGL Renderer. In case you use nVidia’s graphic cards, this option will be
enabled by default. This option clarifies the rendering of a point cloud which does not have
normal information and when you handle huge data, the rendering performance and dynamic
drawing performance are enhanced.

(5) XRL file version XOR’s file version has been updated as 2.4.
(6) Support NextEngine (SCN) file in XOR2 64 bit Now, XOR2 64 bit can import NextEngine’s .SCN file format.
(7) Support FARO (FWS) file format Now the application supports FARO’s FWS file format. The fws file has only the information of
corresponding fls files, and itself does not scan data. So if fls files don't exist, scan data is not
imported with an fws file only.
(8) Support LDI (SCN and PCN) file format Now the application supports LDI’s (Laser Design Inc.) SCN and PCN file formats. SCN is

imported as point cloud entities, with no measuring coordinate and no normal generated.
PCN is the same format as SCN, but has the normal information.
(9) Importing speed of STL file format Importing speed of STL format is remarkably enhanced about 65~80% than previous version.
(10) Custom path in liveTransfer(TM) If the application cannot find the correct path of UGS NX software in liveTransfer(TM), you
can directly input the path of execution file in the liveTransfer(TM).
(11) Import CDK and CDM file format The cdk and cdm files are imported with reduced importing time and memory consumption.
User Interface
(12) Show remove list in tooltip If you select entities in the list box and hover your mouse over the Remove icon, you can
confirm the selected entities from the tooltip.
(13) Auto dynamic display ratio Auto method under the Dynamic Display Ratio option in the Display panel which
automatically determines the dynamic display ratio to preserves the minimum shape of a
mesh data during rotating, panning and zooming in the Model View has enhanced. It is also
enhanced to prevent rapid decrease of displaying a huge mesh.

Thumbnails panel.
(16) Selection in Mesh Buildup Wizard If you select entities as Reference and Moving in the Align stage of Mesh Buildup Wizard, the
selection of these entities is preserved in the same way you change methods to Local Based
On Auto Guess, Local Based On Picked Point or Global And Fine. It is also available in Align
command.
(17) Tooltip for exiting a Mode When you exit some mode using a button, the tooltip will explain the action of the button.
(18) Menu name of Add-In Previously,” Add-In” in the menu is changed to “Add-Ins”.

(20) New merge option New merge option, Use Original File Data, is added in the Surface Merge and Volume
Merge commands. This option enables you to set sampling ratio no matter of what sampling
ratio you used while importing the file. This option is enabled when you import grid type data
(bre, ac, etc) with sample option.
(21) Controlling auto preview in Mesh Sketch Setup The "Enable Realtime Preview" button is added to the header of 2D Mesh Sketch Setup
command. It decides whether to calculate cross section of the mesh using sketch plane
according to the status of this button. It means that if this button is toggled off, it does not
update the cross section when the user moves the manipulator. Of course, it always updates
cross section whenever the manipulator is released regardless of the status of this button.
(22) Filling small holes When you fill relatively small holes, the application uses optimized algorithm, so that the
overall calculation time is remarkably enhanced.
liveScan™
(23) liveScan enhancement The [NDI] ScanTRAK/OPTOTRAK device is newly added in liveScan
Devices are renamed for better understanding as shown in the image below.

You can turn on or off the sound during scanning or probing in liveScan.
If you check the Hold Connection button, the application doesn’t disconnect a device
even you close the liveScan command.

(24) Generating normal information of a point cloud While the application does post processing with a point cloud, you will be asked “Do you to
compensate point normal information?” If say “Yes”, the application accurately generates
normal information. If say “No”, the normal information will be generates refer to scanning

General
(1) 3D mouse’s sensitivity
The 3D mouse’s sensitivity is slower than the previous version. This bug has been fixed
now.
(2) Scanner account
The VIVID scanner’s user interface works correctly only with the administrator account. If
you use the user account, the application cannot show scanning image in the Konica
Minolta VIVID panel. This bug has been fixed now.
(3) Problem in Screen capture
When you capture screens (File > Capture Screen), both dimension and constraint are
not captured. Also occasionally if you set Preference > Hardware > OpenGL Renderer
Setup to Off-Screen Rendering Mode and then capture the model again and again, the
application does not work correctly. This bug has been fixed now.
(4) Estimate button in Best Fit
Previously the Estimate button in the Best Fit dialog tree, this result value was
comparatively bigger than its size. This bug has been fixed.
(5) Preview of Ref. Plane

When you create a Ref. Plane with the Rotation method and move the position using
manipulator in the Model View, the plane is incorrectly displayed. This bug has been fixed.
(6) Ref. Plane with the rotation method
When you create a Ref. Plane with the Rotation method and the rotation angle is over
180 degrees and edit it, the rotation angle turns 180 degrees. This bug has been fixed.
File I/O
(7) Import STEP format
If you import a model in STEP format which is not a SI unit (mm, m and km), the imported
model’s size is correctly changed. This bug has been fixed now.
(8) Export XDL file format
When you export the mesh data to XDL file format which it has the texture information,
abnormally the mesh’s texture is removed and you cannot edit it. This bug has been fixed
now.
(9) Open XDL file format
Occasionally, when you open some xrl file, the application is crashed. This bug has been
fixed now.
(10) Export IGES or STEP format
Export both solid body and surface body to IGES or STEP format at the same time and
then import both the solid and surface bodies. You will get only the surface body. This
bug has been fixed now.
(11) Import CAD Healing
When you import the CAD file and Healing process is executed, occasionally the
geometry is deformed strangely. This bug has been fixed now.

(12) Tools > Mesh Tools > Subdivide
In case the scan data has very large bounding box or its center coordinate exists far from
the origin, and if you execute the Subdivide command with “Edge Length” method,
occasionally the application creates an isolated shape with regular gaps from the original
mesh. This bug has been fixed now.
(13) Problem in Offset command (Tools > Mesh Tools > Offset)
Go to the Mesh mode, when you execute the Offset command and check the Volume as
the Method, occasionally the application creates a strange mesh, which has a big hole.
This bug has been fixed now.
(14) Problem in Fill Holes command
When you select the boundaries for the Fill Holes command and check the Do Not Fill If
Hole Is Bigger Than option, which default value has 0, the selected boundaries are
canceled. This bug has been fixed.
(15) Problem in Subdivide command
In Mesh mode, when you click the preview button after selecting the poly-faces on a
mesh in the Subdivide command and then when you click the restore button, the
selected regions are canceled. This bug has been fixed now.
(16) Problem in Refit command
When a tessellated mesh exists, Refit command is not executed in the Mesh mode. This
bug has been fixed now.
(17) Global Remesh.
Occasionally when you execute the Global Remesh command with a certain mesh data,
the application does not stop calculating. This bug has been fixed now.

(18) Mesh Buildup Wizard- Align
Go to Mesh Buildup Wizard command in the Align stage. Check Update View &
Histogram in the Global And Fine option. The application runs out of memory in certain
specific model. This bug has been fixed now.
(19) Mesh Buildup Wizard - Remove unwanted data
In the “Mesh Buildup Wizard” command, if you use the data that consists of either the
points or the faces, you cannot select the poly-vertex by Manual Select in the Remove
Unwanted Data option. This bug has been fixed now.
(20) Mesh Buildup Wizard - Save/Open
In the “Mesh Buildup Wizard” command, there is Save/Open functionality. However, only
the Open is executed. This bug has been fixed now.
Point Cloud
(21) Undo does not work correctly
In the Point Cloud mode, execute the copy & paste the point and then exit this mode;
now Click Edit > Undo to undo the copy of points. It does not work. Also the Redo
command does not work. This bug has been fixed now.
Sketch
(22) Mesh Sketch (with Point Clouds) Deviation
Make a mesh sketch by using the point clouds. The deviation button is disabled in the
Accuracy Analyzer panel. Therefore you cannot use it. This bug has been fixed now.
(23) Mesh Sketch-Rotational Method.
Silhouette range in Mesh Sketch Setup as Rotational method does not work correctly.
This bug has been fixed now.

(24) Problem in smooth command
Go to 3D Sketch Mode, check the Partial Range under in the Smooth dialog tree and

Solid / Surface / Feature
(25) Problem in Draft command
When you execute the Draft command first time and then click the preview button, the
preview model does not appear correctly in the Model View. However if you cancel this
preview condition and then execute these same steps again, you can see the preview
model correctly. This bug has been fixed now.
(26) Problem in Sweep, Loft command
When the model has a guide curve, sometimes the Sweep or Loft command do not
create the feature correctly. The bug has been fixed now.
(27) Problem in Curve Pattern command
Occasionally, when you execute the Curve Patten command with an analytic 2D sketch
curve, the application incorrectly creates entities. This bug has been fixed now.
(28) Problem in Conic fillet option
When you execute the Fillet command with Variable Fillet method and Conic fillet option
and change the R2 value in the graphic window, you cannot see any change in the
Profile View and the Model view. This bug has been fixed now.
(29) Problem in Loft Wizard command
In the Loft Wizard, select a drive curve and click the next button. When you move the Ref.
Plane far from a region and copy it, the application does not work correctly. This bug has

In the liveScan(TM) command, whenever you open the Scanner Option in the Device
Manage tree, the triangulate Distance value is changed to default value. This bug has

(33) Problem in preview of a laser line
In the liveScan(TM) command, when both the Zoom Fit and the Dynamic Panning are
disabled in the Device Manager in Scanner Option, the scanner’s preview laser line is not
projected on the Model View window in the pause state. This bug has been fixed now.

(34) Problem in Combine, Surface Merge command
Select the meshes which have texture information. Use the Combine or Surface Merge

When you enter to the 2D Triangulate command and select the Spherical or Cylindrical
as the Projection Method, the UI Focus is located on the Center box. Therefore when you

When you execute the 2D Triangulation command with SWL or SWB file format,
occasionally the mesh’s normal is inverted or it does not work correctly. This bug has
been fixed now.

When you use the Shared Scan Folder option in Register Target dialog tree, is has a

(45) Problem in liveTransfer(TM) To Pro/E Wildfire
When you execute the liveTransfer(TM) To Pro/E Wildfire command and check the
Resume From Selected Feature as method, sometimes the application shows an error.

When you execute the liveTransfer(TM) to Pro/E Wildfire command, occasionally the
application stops at the first sketch entity in a certain model. This bug has been fixed now.
(47) Problem in liveTransfer To Pro/E Wildfire (Installation path)
In the liveTransfer(TM) To Pro/E Wildfire command, sometimes when the application
cannot find the installation path of the Pro/E Wildfire, it activates the path setting window
in the Model View. Unfortunately the window’s dialog text is written incorrectly as “Save
As” even though this operation is executed correctly. This bug has been fixed now.

(1) User Defined Mesh Boundary Color New check box called Boundary is newly added under Mesh item in the Display panel. If you
select this option as User Defined, boundary color will be displayed as per your setting in
Preferences.
(2) Viewing all Entities as Identical Color New option called Front Face is added under General item in the Display panel. If you select
this option as ‘All The Same’, all entities such as meshes, point clouds, regions and bodies
will be displayed with default color (gray) regardless of its material, texture and vertex/face
color.
(3) New Rotation Viewpoint Functions Rotate CCW, Rotate CW and Flip are newly added under the View > Viewpoint menu. You

(6) Fillet • In the Constant / Variable Fillet method, you can move the radius edit widget away to prevent
fillet line being hidden by widgets.
• Display glitch when you apply the deviation in the Accuracy Analyzer panel, to concave fillets
is now resolved.
(7) Highlight Selected Entity in the Dialog Tree When you select an entity in the model view, this entity is also highlighted in the list box of
selected entities in the dialog tree.
(8) Change Selection Order during Fillet / Loft When you select entities in the Fillet, Loft and Align (Tools > Scan Tools) dialog tree, you can
change the selection order. If you select one of entities in the list box, the Up and Down icons
will appear for changing its order.

(9) Customize Viewing Rotation Angle You can rotate a model using the arrow button on the keyboard. Now you can set this rotation
angle under Viewing in the General tab in Preferences.
(10) Support 3D Mouse Both applications (32 bit and 64bit version) support 3D Mouse. You can customize buttons
under the 3D Mouse tab in the Customize dialog box.
General (11) The legacy of XOV/XOS’s Functions
XOV/XOS’s functions which are related to generating and editing the mesh are added under
the Add-in menu. You can perform;
- 2D Triangulate: generate poly-faces using 2D method.
- 3D Triangulate: generate poly-faces using 3D method.
- Find Scan Direction: generate scan directions.
- Generate Vertex Normal: generate vertex normal.
- Reverse Normal: flip mesh normal.

(12) Breuckmann Scanner Direct Control (32 bit version only) You can directly control the Breuckmann scanner and the turn table in the application. This
version supports various types of turn tables such as SHOT-202, SHOT-602, CSG-602R(V1),
CSG-602R(V2), isel(R-1), isel(RF-1), JSTech_NCTB, JSTech_VRTB, Kaidan, Mark202,
MICOS_pollux, MMC-2, MMC-2(15kg), ZETA6104 and ZETA6104(Fast).
(13) VIVID Update (32 bit version only) The core module for VIVID scanners is updated. VIVID Direct Control supports only VIVID 9i
and VIVID 910. VIVID 700 and VIVID 900 models are not supported any more.
(14) liveScan Update (32 bit version only) • New Creation Methods – create points by probe and create rectangles by probe are added in
liveScan.
• Move Device – It maintains the coordinate system of a scanner, even after the position of the
scanner has been moved. This function is useful when the real object is very large to scan
from a single position.
• Preserve Raw Data of Probing Points - two options for acquiring raw probing data points are
added in the "Probe Option" dialog.
• New Slot Creation Method - fits a slot to all probed points or use only six points to fit two
circles each with three points respectively.
• Support API Devices – Now the application supports API’s Tracker3, Intelliprobe, IntelliScan
and Omnitrack.
(15) Property label name for Volume When you click the Calc. button in the Properties panel to measure the volume of a mesh,
the label name of Volume will be changed from “Volume” to “Approx. Volume (xx% Open
Region)”. Here xx% means the ratio of the open region of a mesh against a closed volume
mesh. For example, 0% means that the mesh has completely closed volume.

(16) Screen Capture and Rendering Performance The Off Screen Rendering Mode item is added under OpenGL Renderer Setup in the
Hardware tab in Preference. This option improves screen capturing and rendering
performance in the application. You can select graphic acceleration as Software or Hardware.
If your graphic device supports hardware acceleration, we recommend you to set this option
as Hardware. These setting will be automatically set after you perform Performance Profiler
(Help > Launch Performance Profiler)
(17) Best Fit Alignment The Estimate button next to the Max. Average Deviation option is newly added. This new
button automatically estimates maximum average deviation. If the value in Max. Average
Deviation is set to 0, the application automatically applies required estimation.
(18) Reset Toolbar The ResetAll button is enabled in the Customize dialog box. This button initializes all added
or removed commands in toolbars.

(19) Backup during Saving File When you save a model file in the application, a backup file will be temporarily created to
prevent generating a broken file during saving.
(20) Auto Update • The evaluation version of the application is now enabled to auto update.
• While you download an update file, you can use the application. After completing download,
the application asks you to save the model file in order to install a new version.
(21) Profiler Update The profiler (Help > Launch Performance Profiler) has been updated to V1.6. This update
includes new hardware feature detection, bug fixes and output message modifications.
File I/O (22) File Import
There are new enhancements and new formats when importing various file formats.
• DXF - Additionally supportable entities; line, circle, arc and spline.

(23) Import IGES File • Compatibility with IGES files from various CAD software is greatly enhanced. This IGES file
importer in the application has been improved to cope up with complex models from surface
modelers. Many of surface modelers often generate complex shaped high-order surfaces or
unbalanced patches which get split or fail to sew into one body during the importing process.
Now these kinds of models are successfully imported. In general, it may 2~3 times slower
than previous version.
• IGES file with multiple layers and assemblies can be imported and separated as each body in
Rapidform.
(24) CAD Healing when Importing The Heal Imported Body command which appears during importing CAD data has a new
stage that enables you to check inside each body-face (surfaces) and try to heal the
discontinuous surfaces to C1 continuous. This new stage has two options;
Show Discontinuous Body Faces – displays body faces which are not C1 continuous.
Try To Heal Discontinuous Body Faces – tries to create C1 continuous body faces.
(25) Warning Message when Importing Mesh or Point Cloud When you import a mesh or point cloud which is very far from system origin or has
abnormally big or small bounding box, the application shows a warning message.
(26) ASCII Converter • To clearly notify, ignore column and checked false row becomes gray.
• The ASCII Converter dialog box preserves its last size or position.

Fill Gulf – It is used when you fill indented boundaries. To fill gulf, pick two points on
the boundary.
Remove Peninsula – It is used when you remove projecting areas around boundary.
Therefore you can create a simple boundary. To remove peninsula, pick two points on the
boundary.
Remove Island – It is used when you remove independent poly-face clusters.
Smooth Boundary – It is used when you generate a smooth boundary.
(28) Edit Boundaries • The Split Boundary button is added next to the Boundaries button. You can split boundary
and apply various editing options (Smooth, Shrink, Fit, Extend, Extrude and Fill) to the

Merge Split Boundary is a new option. This option merges boundaries which consist of
some broken boundaries.
(29) Offset Point Cloud The Offset command is newly added in the Tools > Point Cloud Tools menu. You can offset
not only a point cloud but also poly-vertices with a specific distance in the Point Cloud mode.
If a point cloud does not have vertex normal, a message box appears. If you continue the
process, the application generates vertex normal and offsets the point cloud.

import and use AICON’s .obc format file which contains information on marker positions.
(32) Environment Mapping on a Mesh You can apply the Environment Mapping method in the Accuracy Analyzer(TM) panel to a
mesh model. The environment mapping on a mesh is available only in the Mesh mode. This
new method enables you to inspect the surface quality of a mesh like a solid or a surface

Sketch (45) Import other CAD’s Sketch Entities as a Sketch
2D drawing files (DXF, IGES, STEP and VDA-FS) from other CAD system can be imported
as sketch entities into the Sketch and Mesh Sketch mode. The imported sketch entities are
initially positioned at the center of current view and you can adjust the position, orientation
and scale of imported sketch entities using plane-manipulator. You also can flip imported
entities vertically and horizontally.

fitting polyline.
(51) Partially Smooth Curve The Smooth command in 3D Mesh Sketch and 3D Sketch can smooth a curve in a partial
area. You can change the size of brush by Ctrl + LMB and while you drag on a curve, the
curve becomes smooth.
(52) Highlight Nodes in the Remove Node Command When you remove a node of 3D curve using the Remove Node command in the Tools > 3D
Sketch Tools, all nodes of a curve on which your mouse lays are highlighted.

When you change XP style theme to Vista style in Windows system, the column’s height are

(2) Preferences in Template XRL file The application can set the Template XRL File option to user path in the Preferences and if
you restart the application, this path is not preserved. This bug has been fixed.
(3) Problem in Accuracy Analyzer
When you execute “Accuracy Analyzer” on a feature command like fillet, chamfer and cut etc,
preview was displayed on the inner body and deviation or curvature were not shown. This
bug has been fixed.
(4) Problem in Preferences
In the “Preference” command (File > Reference > Hardware > Processor Feature Setup), if
SSE2 or SSE3 is set the Value to the True, the center of the rotation is abnormally executed.

(5) RapidWorks File Import (*.rwl) (32 bit version only)
The application can read the *. rwl using “Open” command (File > Open). However, when you
read the *.rwl using “Drag & Drop” method, the application shows a message saying that the
application is trying to read the file using ASCII Converter. This bug has been fixed.
(6) Problem in File Import (*.wrl) (32 bit version only)
When you import some *.rwl that have a face color information, occasionally the application is
crashed. This bug has been fixed.
(7) Problem in Live Transfer to SolidWorks
When you transfer to the SolidWorks and it is unmerged and filleted, though this process fails,
the application did not show a message at the error list box. This bug has been fixed.
(8) Problem in Live Transfer to Pro/E When you transfer to Pro/E, the created direction of the revolved feature is changed by the
“Both Direction” option. This bug has been fixed
(9) Problem in Export
When you export to *.mdl or *.xdl which mesh has more than 2 pieces and check the “Export
Each As Separate File” option, the application is crashed. This bug has been fixed.
Mesh (10) Problem in Subdivide
In case the scan data is flat shaped having some holes in the section and if you execute the
“Subdivide “ command with “Fill Defective Holes” option, sometimes the application creates a
strange shape such as twisted shapes or filled holes. This bug has been fixed.

(11) Problem in Global Remesh
In previous version, occasionally there are cracks at mesh boundaries after the “Global
Remesh” command. This bug has been fixed.
(12) Problem in Edit Boundaries
Although boundaries are unchecked, when check smooth or shrink as the Method in the Edit
boundaries command And when you set the Select N-Depth From Boundary Slider Bar to
large value (more then 2), Poly-Faces are selected around the boundaries. This bug has
been fixed.
Region Group (13) Region Editing
The application removes cluster regions which do not agree with the Filtering Criteria
condition (except “Enlarge” command). However, the application occasionally removes
regions around critical regions. This bug has been fixed.
(14) Problem in Preview
Selected faces are not displayed under the region after using the Enlarge, Shrink, By Criteria
command etc. This bug has been fixed.
(15) Problem in offset command
In the Mesh mode, when you execute model preview in the “offset” command and then click
the apply button, the application is crashed. This bug has been fixed.
Solid / Surface / Feature (16) Problem in Ref. Vector
In case if the model’s shapes are flat or it has short extrusion, occasionally the application
creates abnormal vector as the “Extrusion” method. This bug has been fixed.

In case if the surface primitive has the same inner and outer face such as a circle shape,
cone, torus and sphere type, the created primitive’s direction is opposite from mesh normal

In certain case of a model, when you import some meshes using Mesh Buildup Wizard and
set the Mesh Density option to “Dense” in the Triangulate/Merge’s stage, there is sudden
changing counts of poly-faces in the “Approx. Poly-Face Count” option in the Finalize stage
and the application shows “Out of memory”. This bug has been fixed.
(5) Mesh Buildup Wizard Even when you have a single shell in Mesh Buildup Wizard, the Align stage appears. This
bug has been fixed.
(6) Mesh Regeneration If your meshes are closely adjacent, the Global Remesh command could not correctly
regenerate meshes. This bug has been fixed.
If the application cannot detect boundary point in a model (such as a closed mesh), the
“Create More Dense Mesh Around Boundary” option in Triangulate/Merge and Mesh Build
Wizard – Triangulate, and also “Mesh Density In High Curvature Region” option in Rewrap
are not applied correctly. This bug has been fixed.
(7) Mesh Buildup Wizard-Using VIVID’s RAW Data When you execute the “Mesh Buildup Wizard” command using raw data which is from the
VIVID scanner, occasionally texture information disappears. This bug has been fixed.
(8) Problem in Decimate If you handle more than 5 million poly-faces and perform Decimate (Tools > Mesh Tools >
Decimate), the application says out of memory. This bug has been fixed
(9) Smoothing Mesh If you move meshes and do not apply the Merge command and then execute the Smooth

- Previously, XOR couldn’t transfer the modeling history to UGS if user used several
entities as for tool entity in the Cut With Surface operation because UGS has limitation
of using only one tool entity when you cut model with surface body.
But, now it has been improved so that you can transfer modeling history even though if
you had used several entities in the Cut With Surface operation.
(4) Add *.pts, *.asc file format in exporting list *.pts, *.asc file format have been added to exporting list from XOR2 hotfix2.
Basically, those are for exporting point cloud. But, it is also applicable to a mesh model.
(5) Support Curve Importing / Exporting with Parasolid file format (*.x_t, *.x_b) Now the application supports importing and exporting curves with Parasolid file format such
as *.x_t, *.x_b.
(6) “Point Only” Option for Point Cloud of NextEngine File Now, the “Point Only” option in the import dialog box is applicable to NextEngine file which is
made up with only point cloud. Therefore if you check this option, you can import a
NextEngine file (point cloud) as point cloud and if you uncheck this option, you can import a
NextEngine file (point cloud) as a mesh.
(7) Use of Setting Unit When the entities are exported as IGES / STEP and so on, now the application use the unit
set in Preferences > General > Default Measure Unit.
(8) Import VIVID File Format (*.cdm, *.cdk, *.cam) When you import *.cdm, *.cam, and *.cdk, the application shows the “VIVD Option” dialog
box which enables users to preset the import values. Therefore users can import optimized
VIVID scan data in the application.

hide Mesh or Point Cloud, which has been referred when the model is analyzed and it will
show you only the designed body to be able to check the model more clearly in the model
view. As soon as operation is finished, the application will turn back to previous status
automatically. Now you can validate the model more conveniently. But, if user turns on or off
visibility of Mesh or Point Cloud manually when Accuracy Analyzer is active, it will override.
(12) Chang in Picking Entity Priority
Basically, picking and dragging selection has an order to select an entity. Now, if there is a
mesh with overlapped regions and you do “picking selection”, a region will be selected. If you
do “dragging selection”, poly-vertices/faces will be selected.

things are on the parallel condition.

(5) Background Color of Mouse Help You can change background color of Mouse Help (at the right top of Model View) as other

The last value of Body Continuity such as Max Dist, Angle, Tangency/Curvature High

Mesh” button to get a section and double click a variable point in the Profile View to
automatically move on an estimated section; however it does not apply the last point. This

(19) Variable Fillet with Conic Option When you create a Variable Fillet wit the Conic option, if you change Rho and add nodes, the
rest of nodes’ Rho becomes 0.5 (default value). This bug has been fixed.

Sketch curves are disappeared. This bug has been fixed.

(10) Fill Face Problem
When you create a face using the Fill Face command (Insert > Surface > Fill Face) with

is not updated correctly when you change the type (Max, Min, Ave Deviation) in Accuracy

XIV. What’s New in XOR2 1. New Functions
(1) Lofting Wizard From a mesh region, this patent-pending new function intelligently generates a smooth lofting
surface and its profile curves, while satisfying given deviation error automatically. To easily
create loft surface from mesh data, click Insert > Surface > Loft Wizard and select a desired
region. Set just the number of sections or the deviation and click OK. The application extends
section curves and creates the loft surface.
(2) One Button CAD Correction When it is required to fix CAD model to follow the As-Built geometry, the greatly improved
Refit feature enables users, like stamp die designers, to correct them in a far more
automated way. You can directly import the other CAD file and the mesh data, execute the
Insert > CAD Correct > Refit command.

(3) Auto and Intelligently Guided 3D feature Line Design Tool The Snap On Curvature Flow option is newly added in Tools > 3D Sketch Entity > Spline

It is possible to use the Accuracy AnalyzerTM to check deviation on the each step after
alignment step.
For example, you can check the deviation between the aligned shells in the triangulate /
merge step, between the merged scan dates and the aligned scan data in the finalize step,
and between the global optimized / enhanced scan data and the merged scan data in the
check step.
(6) One button mesh structure cleanup and optimization tool Tools > Mesh Tools > Rewrap command provides an easy way to cleanup the mesh
structure by one button.
It enables you to optimize the mesh easily even though you have many missing area, which
can be have during the scanning process because of under-cut area of model or bad
scanning environments, and a model which has many noise and rough faces.

(7) Point Cloud Handling Newly designed noise filtering, smoothing, sampling, and triangulation integrated for a logical
work-flow.
You can import point cloud data and perform the following newly designed functions;
Filter Noisy Poly-Vertices – filters noisy poly-vertices of point cloud.
Sampling – samples point cloud to reduce the redundant points.
Smooth – smoothes point cloud to reduce the point roughness. You can also import IGES, VDA, STEP, 3DM files which include point data and treat them like
point cloud in XOR.
Note 1
When you import scan data to XOR, you can decide how to handle the imported scan data on
the XOR using Point Only, Use ASCII Converter option.
Note 2
Import only Point Cloud In the Import dialog box, the Points Only option is newly added. If you have large point cloud
and you want to handle this as point set, check this option.
You will be able to import only point data. If you import grid type of native scan data, which
comes from 3D scanner such as bre, surf(gom), kreon, opton, shapegrabber, steintek, wwl,
ac, riegl, not neutral scan data such as asc, txt, he application creates normal information.
(8) Designing on Point Cloud No need to mesh the point cloud prior to curve generation, saving time and clicks.
You can create sections, sketch curves, 3D curves on Point Cloud data without creating
mesh data.

or textured mesh or point cloud. You can use them in the Mesh or Point Cloud mode. There

(11) Helix Curve The Insert > Modeling Feature > Helix command enables you to create constant or variable
helical curves. You can define parameters of a helix by inputting numerical values or
interactively manipulating the curve using the Profile View.
(12) Spiral Curve The Insert > Modeling Feature > Spiral command enables you to create Constant Pitch or
Variable Pitch spiral curves. You can define parameters of a spiral curve by inputting
numerical values or interactively manipulating a curve such as a Helix curve.
(13) Extract Feature Curves The Tools > 3D Sketch Entities > Extract Feature Curves command enables you to extract
feature curves from a model easily.

(14) Controllable Light Source The View > Light Properties command enables you to set the position or color of
environment lights. Therefore you can check a model quality.
You will be able to find defect from the model on the specific area using control the shading
contrast.
You can also control light source on the display tab and it will be adjusted parameter in the
preference.
(15) Select By Color You can select Poly-Faces (Vertices) of color mesh data by chosen color (Select > By
Color). You can adjust the extracting range of color and add or remove the selection.
(16) 3 Tangent Arc / Circle You can create tangent arc or circle to three other selected entities (lines, arcs or splines)
using 3 Tangent Arc / Circle command in the Sketch or Mesh Sketch mode.

(17) Fit Spline Tools > Sketch Tools > Fit Spline command enables you to create fitted splines from
other created lines or arcs so that you can construct C2 continuous model.

You can use the setting when the registry information, which is registered on your system, is
reset partially. And it is not available to use the setting which is released before the XOR2.
(23) View Clipping You can use a plane for clipping model data to see only desire areas. The View > View
Clipping command can be used to inspect inner shape of a complex model or work with
desired area only.
(24) Automatic Save The application automatically saves current working model as xrl format. You can see the
Automatic Save dialog box every X minutes that can be set in the General tab in the
Preferences.

(25) Shading Resolution You can change the shading resolution under the Body section in the Display tab. Therefore
when you see very small bodies, you can adjust the resolution of bodies in the Model View.

(26) CAD Import Healing If you import a surface body which includes gaps, the Heal Imported Body dialog tree
appears. You can select one or all gaps in the list box and heal them.

You can measure entity whenever you want to check certain value from target data.
Measure > Section Measure > Section command is newly added. You can make sure where it could be
better to define sketch profile when you see the section profile. You can compare

Measure > Mesh Deviation Measure > Mesh Deviation command is newly added. Mesh Deviation command
enables you to check the deviation among meshes. This function can be used when you
have several scan shots and want to check the deviation among them.

settings in Preferences. Therefore your graphic performance is optimized to work with XOR.
Also, you can set your favorite scanners so that when you run Insert > Scanner Direct

2. Enhanced or Changed Functions General
(1) Error List You can check not only Rebuilding errors but also liveTransfer errors in the Error List
pane. Therefore you can check the entities that are not transferred to other application
with its modeling parameters. Also, you can check with the warning message which
entities are needed to care for the liveTransfer.
(2) Measure a) XOR automatically recognizes entity type so that when measuring the distance of a
line, the length of a line is automatically extracted. However when you want to measure a
distance between certain positions on a line, previously, you cannot do it. But now you
can pick any position on an entity by clicking the Ctrl button on the keyboard.
b) When you use measure icons (Measure Distance or Radius) in a certain dialog tree to input values, you can input the average of several measured values. To do
this, for example, click Shift and complete measuring a distance then measure again so
these two distances are averaged and input in the edit box.
(3) Cut Solid Body with Planar Edge and Curve You can cut a solid body even though you have only Edges or Curves which has planar
property using Insert > Solid > Cut command. Therefore you can select 2D / 3D Curve,
2D / 3D Chain, 2D /3D Sketch or Edge as Tool Entities.

(4) ICF Export Additional entities, Point Cloud (color), Mesh (color) and Solid / Surface Body, can be
exported as an icf format (File > Publish > ICF).
(5) Interactive Alignment “Interactive Setup” is newly changed as “Tool > Interactive Alignment” and there is
new option called “Pre-align With Global Origin” If this option is checked, it will be find
minimal bounding box and align the longest axis and the shortest axis with X-axis and Z-
axis of global coordinate respectively while moving the center of bounding box to global
origin.
(6) Best Fit Alignment with Point Cloud You can align Body and Mesh / Point Cloud using “Tools > Align > Best Fit”. It is also
possible to select only partial area of Faces or Mesh / Point Cloud.
(7) Support DXF Export Mesh and Ref. Polyline can be exported in dxf format.
In case of Mesh, you can control how you handle the data in other application as Point /
Polyline or 3D Face
(8) Align Point Cloud You can select a Point Cloud for the Moving entity in the Interactive, Datum, and Quick
Align Command.
(9) Unable to Import Higher Version of XRL File You cannot import higher version of xrl file then current XOR version.

(10) User Defined Color of Activated Controls You can define a frame color of activated controls in a dialog tree. You can set it in the

(29) Smooth The Tools > Mesh Tools > Smooth command is enhanced. This command is separated
into 2 steps and the Average option has been integrate with the Curvature option. You
can set default settings in the first step and adjust the smoothness level when you see
the result with Enable Real-time Preview in the second step. Iteration and Weight are
renamed as Smoothness Level and Strength slider bar with 10 levels.
(30) Enhance shape The Tools > Mesh Tools > Enhance shape command is enhanced. This command is
separated into 2 steps. You can set default settings in the first step and adjust the
enhancement level when you see the result with Enable Real-time Preview in the second
step.
(31) Importing Incorrect Size of Mesh Previously, if you import scan data with wrong scanner unit and make modeling, it was
very difficult to get the result with correct data unit even though you apply scale up to
imported mesh due to you can not apply rebuilding to the model. Now, if scan data is
detected something wrong information, Confirm Input (Scanner) Unit dialog box will be
appeared to enable you to set the unit of mesh data.

(32) Accuracy Analyzer in Mesh Mode Previously, the deviation result is calculated based on current (modified) mesh data as
reference but now it is changed to enable you to check with current (modified) mesh data
as target.
Accuracy Analyzer shows deviation between current (modified) data and original data.
The area, which is existed positive difference than original data, represents by red color.
In other hand, the area, which is existed negative difference than original data,
represents by blue color in default. But, you can modify the color map as you want to see.
Region Group
(33) Performance of Region Group Previously, when you exit the Region Group mode, the application classified primitive
regions, but now it is executed whenever you apply operation to region which enables to
change the property of region in the Region Group mode automatically. Therefore you
can confirm the primitive regions directly.
(34) Auto Segment a) When you enter that Region Group mode for the first time or there are no regions, the
Auto Segment command automatically appears.
b) New option “Merge into Same Primitive Shape” is added. This option combines
separated planar, cylindrical or conical regions into a single primitive region.
c) Segmentation algorithm is greatly enhanced so that the application more intelligently

(42) Merge Same Type Entities The Tools > Sketch Tools > Merge command is newly added in the Sketch / Mesh
Sketch mode. This command merges selected arcs or lines to a single line or arc. This
command is useful when you create an untidy sketch using Auto Sketch as you can
merge split lines or arcs into single entity.
(43) Spline Enhancements a) If you double click a spline you can see the Spline dialog tree and edit Tangent
Conditions by dragging an arrow on the spline in the model view.
- To adjust only the direction (fixed arrow length) click Shift and drag the arrow.

without a joint node (provided these curves are exactly intersected).
(50) Multiple Section Curves Previously you can select only a single Target Entity in the Tools > 3D Sketch Entities
> Section command but now you can select multiple Meshes (Point Clouds) data or
Bodies (Solids, Surfaces) for Target Entity. Furthermore, drawing multiple lines is also
possible under the Draw Line On Screen method.

(51) New Popup Menu - Convert You can directly access the Convert Entity command in the popup menu. Select an

(52) Rebuild Converted or Fitted Spline You can rebuild a converted or fitted curve to an interpolation curve using the Rebuild

condition, which has on the converted curve, will be removed. But, you can control the

automatically projected onto mesh data. And projected 3D mesh curves will be

accuracy.

undesirable result. Hence now it is separated as “Rotate And Translate,” “Scale” and “By

- If Make Side Wall is enabled when selecting a face, it creates side walls between

3. List of Fixed Bugs General
(1) File > Capture Screen
When PIP (View > Zoom > PIP) screen is present in the model and File > Capture Screen
was executed, the resulting image comes with a shadow which is not correct. This bug has
been fixed now.
(2) File > Capture Screen
When the image is captured using File > Capture Screen, the shadow of main menu
appears in the captured image. This problem has been fixed now.
(3) Problem with Edit mode of Numbers
Double click the numbers (for example say dimension) displayed in the view to change it to
the edit mode. Now use Alt + tab to move to the other applications. When you come back to
XOR again, the edit mode of the numbers is terminated.
(4) Copy/Paste operations
Go to the Mesh mode. Copy poly-faces and Paste the selected poly-faces. Delete the copied
poly-faces. If you do similar operations for a number of times, memory leakage happens. This
bug has been fixed now.
(5) Problems in the edit controls
Previously, you can use minus (-) in the edit controls in between the numbers, which must not
be allowed. Now you can use minus only before the number (-5), not in between the numbers
(ex: 10-3).

(6) Problems in Profile View.
When variable fillet is applied to some entity, you can see the profile view in the bottom.
Continuously zoom out the profile view. After some time the profile view appears up side
down. This problem has been fixed now.
(7) Edit Control Disappears after View > Viewport.
When you are in the edit mode of edit control (ex: Dimension) and change the view port to a
multi port, the edit widget disappears unlike the previous version of rapidformXOR.
(8) Memory leak in Loft, Trim and Merge Feature
When Loft, Trim and Merge Feature are used for solid/surface, the memory usage
increases. This leads to a memory leak. This bug has been fixed now.
(9) Accuracy Analyzer – Color
When Color is changed in Accuracy Analyzer, the change in color is not updated
immediately. You have to close Accuracy Analyzer window and restart to see the effect. This
problem has been fixed now.
(10) Accuracy Analyzer – Options not saved.
When you are in accuracy analyzer and change the options like Continuity. Save XOR file
and exit. This change is not reflected when you reopen XOR. This bug has been fixed now.
(11) Accuracy Analyzer – Options not changed.
When you changed other type, in case of radio button didn’t use and select sub type, it
matched between the check of Allowable Tolerance and the Enable/Disable of the below
controller. This bug has been fixed now.
(12) Accuracy Analyzer
Even you change feature in the Feature Tree, the changed entity is not applied in Accuracy

Keep the Feature tree view in floating condition. Terminate XOR and restart it again. There is

(14) 3ds Exporting
When you export several mesh data as 3ds format and import it into rapidformXOR again,
the application might crash. This bug has been fixed now.
(15) xrl Open
When you open xrl file which includes Ref.Geometry with parents, these parents are not
registered at the sub-location of Ref.Geometry. This bug has been fixed now.
But, if you open xrl file which is made by previous version than XOR SP2, it might be taken
some time to reorganize the model history.
(16) Mouse Cursor
Occasionally an icon of mouse cursor is not changed correctly when you move a mouse from
zoom pip window to menu bar. This bug has been fixed now.
(17) STL file import
If you imported a specific *.stl file, it didn’t work from start to end. This bug has been fixed
now.
(18) Problems in computer login
When you didn’t login into internet but only computer connected to the internet cable XOR
displayed an error message. Also when you close XOR, sometimes our program crashed.
This bug has been fixed now.

(19) Live transfer to SolidWorks
When your model was transferred to SolidWorks by a function of the SoildWorks Direct
interface, the extrude direction was changed to other direction. This bug has been fixed now.
(20) Icf format export
When you export data as *.icf file in XOV, it didn’t import at the XOR. This bug has been fixed
now.
(21) Screen Capture ranks
When you captured screen by using method a mouse dragging area, you would get unrelated
entire model view. This bug has been fixed now.
(22) UI of the Scaling unit
When you import the scan data and check the scale unit, it was imported in millimeter (mm).
Also when the scan data was exported, this scale unit was in millimeter. This bug has been
fixed now.
(23) Primitive API
When you created a primitive sphere and torus, it didn't draw a perfect sketch. This bug has
been fixed now.
Mesh
(24) Undo does not work correctly
In the Mesh mode, start any command (e.g. Tools > Mesh Tools > Refit). Delete some
poly-faces in mesh. Cancel the existing command. Click Edit > Undo to undo the deletion of
poly-faces. It did not work. This bug has been fixed now.

(25) Problem in the Mesh mode-Edit>Undo
Go to the Mesh mode. Select poly-vertices or poly-faces which are colored. Delete the poly-
faces/poly-vertices. Click Edit > Undo. This does not work correctly. This bug has been fixed
now.
(26) Tools > Mesh Tools > Refit
Previously, when one or more holes were present in mesh data, creating surface using Tools
> Mesh Tools > Refit will make the surface in a bad shape because of the bad mesh data
around the holes. This bug has been fixed now.
(27) Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate
Using the command Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate sometimes crashes the application.
This problem has been fixed now.
(28) Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate
Large Data Mode option should be enabled for large data meshes. Even when the mesh is
large, this option is disabled some times. This bug has been fixed now.
(29) Problems in Enlarge, Shrink commands
Go to the Mesh mode. Select the region filter. Select the region. When the Poly-Face filter is
enabled, select some poly-faces. Use Enlarge or Shrink commands. This does not work
correctly. This problem has been fixed now.
(30) Problems in Mesh Boundary
The healing wizard was operated incorrectly in the mesh mode. Accordingly the boundary
wasn't found and hence you weren’t able to fill certain hole. This bug has been fixed now.

(31) Application Crash
Go to the Region mode. Click Auto Segment to auto segment the region. Go to the Mesh
mode and remove some poly-faces. Now click Tools > Mesh Tools > Global Remesh. The
application crashes. This bug has been fixed now.
(32) Region segmentation
If your shell has Encoded Face Set before region auto segmentation, it was matched with
segmented shell. This bug has been fixed now.
Sketch & Mesh Sketch
(33) No warning message
Create a surface extrude from a sketch. Delete the sketch. There is no warning message
which says that extruded surface also will be deleted. This bug has been fixed now.
(34) Problems in Angular Dimension
When you define the angular dimension between two lines, and if you move the lines left or
right, the angular dimension has a strange appearance. This problem has been fixed now.
(35) Sketch grid not in center
In the Mesh Sketch mode, in the mesh sketch setup when rotational method was selected to
create the section, the sketch grid is not in center. This problem has been fixed now.
(36) Cannot select manipulator
Go to Mesh Sketch mode. In the sketch set up, select the method as rotational method. It is
not possible to select the manipulator and move. This bug has been fixed now.

When you create entities snapped onto body point or converted body point, these entities are
not updated. This bug has been fixed now.
(38) Problems in Mesh Sketch Mode
When you set up the rotational method and add section, the offset angle from base plane
was given automatically the angle value in the Mesh mode. Sometimes if you edit mesh
sketch, you will see a wrong value. Also if your plane turned around the window, the value
changed to about 0 deg. This bug has been fixed now.
(39) Sketch Option
While you select a sketch entity in the Sketch or Mesh Sketch mode, Enable Snap and
Enable Polyline Snap are disabled. This bug has been fixed now.
(40) Sketch Option in tangent arc from construction line
When you draw a construction line, you made a tangent arc from it. But the tangent arc
wasn’t drawn at line end. This bug been fixed now.
(41) Problem in Sketch of Spline
When partly line was connected with the arc, sometimes the form of the arc was changed by
using Undo, Redo and Save, Open. This bug has been fixed now.
(42) Problem in Sketch of Circle
Sometimes you cannot wipe out a circle by the power trim in the sketch mode. But the circle
was deleted only by using the delete key on the keyboard. This bug has been fixed now.

been checked the same geometry in a Sketch. So, it has some case which was very slow.
Now, algorism modified and the speed is highly improved.

Select a body face or body edge. Use Enlarge command. It does not work correctly. This
problem has been fixed now.
(48) Problems in Model tree display
Make a feature for the solid body. The created feature is displayed in both feature tree and
model tree. Now make another feature. The model tree and feature tree are updated and
displayed as new feature. Now, apply Rollback to the previous feature. The feature in model
tree was not updated. This problem has been fixed now.
(49) Surface Extrude and Undo
Create a surface extrude from a sketch. Delete the sketch. Click Edit > Undo to undo the last

operation. Undo does not work. This bug has been fixed.
(50) Insert > Solid > Hollow
In Insert > Solid > Hollow command, enable Multi-Thickness Faces option. Select multiple
faces and remove the selected faces and disable the option. Now user is not able to select
the first face that is selected. This problem has been fixed now.
(51) Insert > Solid > Thicken
Import a solid/surface body through IGES file format. Apply Thicken command using Insert >
Solid > Thicken. Delete the solid body after thicken. There is no error message displayed.
This problem has been fixed now.
(52) Insert > Modeling Feature > Move Face
When this command is executed, faces appear in feature tree. But the direction entity is not
displayed. This problem has been fixed now.
(53) Problem in model tree after extrude cut
Click Insert > Solid > Cut to cut the selected body. Complete the Cut command. The new
feature cut is not displayed in model tree. This problem has been fixed now.
(54) Insert > Solid > Cut
Click Insert > Solid > Cut. Select target bodies to cut and select a remaining body. The
model might appear strange. This problem has been fixed now.
(55) Problems in Fillet
When you apply fillet to the faces in the model, delete base face after filleting. The application
crashes. This problem has been fixed now.

(56) Fillet for unselected edges
Sometimes when you apply fillet to some edges, the fillet is applied to some unselected
edges also. This problem has been fixed now.
(57) Insert > Surface > Mesh Fit / Boundary Fit
Make a body using Insert > Surface > Mesh Fit or Insert > Surface > Boundary Fit.
Execute Edit > rebuild, Undo and Redo, Roll back, Roll Forward number of times. A
memory leakage might happen. This bug has been fixed now.
(58) Insert > Solid > Hollow
Execute Insert > Solid > Hollow command. Select the body. Now the Cancel button is
inactivated after selecting the body. This problem has been fixed now.
(59) Insert > Solid > Loft
In Insert > Solid > Loft function, if the guide marker is behind the sketch region, guide
marker cannot be selected. This problem has been fixed now.
(60) Insert > Solid > Loft
In Insert > Solid > Loft, change the End Constraint to Direction Vector. Turn off the option
Use Same Tangent Length To All Vertices. Change the End Constraint to None. Change
it again to Direction Vector. Tangent Length option is disabled even though the Use Same
Tangent Length To All Vertices option is enabled. This bug has been fixed now.
(61) Insert > Solid > Loft
If the Constraint is selected as direction vector then only the widget should be displayed. But
the widget is displayed even before selecting the constraint as direction vector. This problem
has been fixed now.

(62) Insert > Solid > Thicken
In the Mesh mode, for Insert > Solid > thicken command, same result is achieved for both
Direction1 and Direction 2. This bug has been fixed now.
(63) Problems in Loft mode
In the Loft Edit Mode. Sometimes the guide vertex was changed to the Review. This bug
has been fixed now.
(64) Problems in Sweep mode
When you made a point of intersection from plural entities between the profile and path, the
sweep direction was changed. This bug has been fixed now.
(65) Problems in Fillet
Occasionally, after the fillet is applied to the surface, it disappeared. This bug has been fixed
now.
(66) Extrude Snap of direction
When you had a parallel region from a base sketch, the manipulator was used to drag on the
region. The Region was highlighted and then it was snapped. But if you selected no custom
vertically direction from the sketch plane, sometimes the snap wasn't operated. This bug has
been fixed now.
(67) Problems in Extrude Option
On one side, select the blind method and on the opposite side, select the through method in
the Extrude mode. When you did click and drag, manipulator was flipped about the blind
direction. This bug has been fixed now.
(68) Problem in Loft edit mode
When you create a point of intersection between the center axis and the bottom face in the

Revolve model, So many Ref.Point were created on the model. This bug has been fixed
now.
(69) Problem in Loft edit mode
When you set up a custom direction, Cut Command wasn't operated by using the through all
in the Extrude mode. This bug has been fixed now.
(70) Problems in Sketch of sew
When your surfaces were sewed and it was merged, sometime this form of surface was
changed. This bug has been fixed now.
Ref. Geometry (71) Ref.Geometry from Extract Method
When you edit Ref.Geometry which is created by the Extract method, the display of fitting
points does not disappear. This bug has been fixed now.
(72) Ref.Geometry with creation
When your selections were completed in the Datum Axis/Plane, you couldn't get the
Ref.Geometry. This bug has been fixed now.
4. List of known Bugs (1) Problem in Fillet Mode
When Full Face Fillet and Variable Fillet apply to face, this result does not match with
tangent in the Tangency Continuity.
Alternative Plan: In XOR, Tangency Continuity of Accuracy Analyzer allows to 0.1.
(2) Zoom In
When you are using Zoom In, Sketch disappears on the screen and only displays constraint.
This Bounding box of Sketch is 2445*2554*0.

Alternative Plan: Depth range is fixed to size of entity which is displayed.
(3) Problem in Tree list
When you Mirror solid body to the other side and it has tangent condition, this solid body is
listed as surface.
Alternative Plan: Reduce the Tangent Continuous Faces option in the advance option.
(4) Windows crashes.
Sometimes when your Windows runs XOR, the Windows screen becomes black and crashes.
And when the Windows tries to adjust the Hardware Acceleration to 0, black screen
disappears, but the application runs slowly and the Windows crashes.
Alternative Plan: Update the Graphic card driver.
(5) Problem in Mesh Mode.
When trim runs on the mesh by using surrounded close curve, it fails.
Alternative Plan: Split Close splits and Mesh trim.
(6) Problem in Fillet Mode
In the Fillet Mode, sometimes face disappears when specific edge is selected.
Alternative Plan: Modify Fillet radius value.
(7) Problem in Import
You can create reverse design in XOR SP2 version. You can export this file to XOR2 and
rebuild it. But it cannot be partly rebuilt in XOR2
(8) Problem in Fillet Mode
In the Constant Fillet, you can create fillet with selected face and checked Tangent
Propagation. But if you select the edge of the same body, you cannot create the fillet.
(9) Problem in emboss of sketch
Occasionally, Closed Spline does not emboss to solid body by using Sketch Loop.

(10) Problem in Fillet Mode
In some special files, when fillet is applied to 2mm, the face of fillet disappears as if it is
deleted face.
(11) *.step File Size Problem
*.Igs, *.x-b format files are possible to import to XOR. But when *.step format is imported to
XOR, it is shown in different scale unit.
(12) Problem in emboss of sketch
If you want to emboss something which has enough conditions in the sketch mode,
sometimes emboss is not sketched and XOR sends error message.
(13) Problem in emboss of sketch
In spite of enough conditions, preview of Untrim does not operate in the Sketch Mode.
(14) Problem in Accuracy Analyzer
In some special files, when you check Fine Sampling, Accuracy Analyzer bar is partly
disappeared.
(15) Problem in Accuracy Analyzer
In the Accuracy Analyzer, when you apply deviation to some special models, they get
crashed.
(16) Especial file export & import
When some special files are imported to XOR and surface of model is selected, XOR gets
crashed if you export selected surface to *.xdl format file.
(17) Out of memory
Sometimes when 140 ten thousand polygon run subdivide which option is X4, XOR is lacked
memory. At this time, the running number of time is two.

XV. What’s New in XOR SP2 1. Enhanced Functions
(1) CAD Interface to UGS NX
Now new CAD interface to UGS NX is embedded (File > Send To > UGS NX) in
rapidformXOR. Therefore users can directly export model data to UGS NX with its history.
Start From First Feature – XOR sends all entities and histories to UGS NX.
Resume From Selected Feature – If UGS NX can not receive XOR history, you can edit
that feature in UGS NX and resume from selected feature in XOR.
Only Selected Entities - Selected feature will be exported into UGS NX. If you check
this option, Use Selected Face Or Plane In UG For 2D Sketch Plane, appears. If you
use this option, you can select single Sketch in XOR and a selected plane or planar face
in UGS NX can be used as sketch plane. If you disable this option, you can select
multiple entities and send them to UGS NX.
Note
Currently XOR supports UGS NX 4 or later version.
(2) Performance Profiler
rapidformXO Redesign Profiler is enhanced. You can perform Profiler operation after
installing rapidformXOR or Help > Launch Performance Profiler in the menu of XOR.
(3) License Activation on Windows Vista
Now rapidformXOR supports license activation based on Windows Vista.

(4) License – Borrowing
When your license type is Virtual dongle with local network sharing (floating) and you want
to temporally use rapidformXOR on client PC without accessing server PC, like for the
purpose of business trip, you can borrow a license for a period. This function can be used in
the lmtools dialog box (C:\Program Files\INUS Technology\XO Server Activation Utility
\lmtools.exe)
(5) License – Changing Port
If your license conflict with other applications due to the usage of same port, you can
change a number of port.
2. List of Fixed Bugs
(1) Accuracy Analyzer
When you import .xdl file and execute Accuracy Analyzer, it might not work. This bug has
been fixed now.
(2) Import igs File
When you import curve data (.igs format) which are created in rapidform2006 for manual
surfacing, the application might crash. This bug has been fixed now.
(3) Icon Image
The icon image of spline (Tools > 3D Sketch Entities > Spline) does not correspond with
its function. This bug has been fixed now.
(4) Preview Button
When you click (Preview) button in a dialog tree, and move a certain entity which operates only on 2D (for example, moving a dialog tree), the 3D model might not show
preview image, just shows previous image of preview operation. This bug has been fixed
now.

(5) Preview Spline
If 2D spline is on the base plane whose normal vector is (1,0,0) or (0,1,0), XOR shows
wrong preview of Resizing. This bug has been fixed now.
(6) Mesh Sketch (Rotational Method)
When you extract sectional polyline using Mesh Sketch with Rotational Method, if you
click Add button to insert additional section, the previous section disappears. This bug has
been fixed now.
(7) Spline (3D Mesh Sketch)
When you draw a spline with Refit To Feature Lines option in the 3D Mesh, if you double
click to end drawing a spline on another curve, the application might crash. This bug has
been fixed now.
(8) Mesh Color
Occasionally the color of mesh strangely displays in the graphic area because of an
absence of face’s normal information. This bug has been fixed now.
(9) Surface Extrude
When you execute Surface Extrude (Insert > Surface > Extrude) and select a face for the
custom direction, the manipulator’s direction might be opposite and you cannot reverse it in
the graphic area. This bug has been fixed now.
(10) Extrude
When you extrude a sketch using Up To Vertex method with Custom Direction, the result
might be different then what is expected. This bug has been fixed now.
(11) Cone

When you select a cone to use its direction information, for example to use a cone as a

XVI. What’s New in XOR SP1 1. Enhanced Functions
General
(1) XRL Version
The .xrl extension version is changed from 1.0 to 1.1. Therefore if you try to open higher
version xrl file than the current version of XOR, you will get a warning message; “This XRL
file has unknown version. Unable to open this file.” and eventually, you can not open it.
(2) Base Plane / Revolve Axis
1. Now you can select not only Ref.Plane or Body Face (planar face) but also Sketch Chain,
3D Sketch, Curve, Region or Loop for Base Plane of Sketch.
2. Now you can select not only Ref.Vector but also linear entity such as Region, 2D Curve,
3D Curve, Body Face or Body Edge for revolve axis.
(3) Warning Message
During modeling process, XOR performs additional checking. For example, if you fillet on
several edges and remove one of edge, you can notice the warning message in the Error
List bar.
(4) Error List
There is new window called Error List which shows list of errors after performing Rebuild
(Edit > Rebuild). You can select or double click one of list in this window. Therefore you can
check the errors of your data or edit it.

(6) Error Message of Align Wizard
If XOR can not extract coordinates from mesh data using Align Wizard (Tools > Align >
Wizard) then the application will show an error message; “Insufficient primitives were found.
The Coordinate creation failed. Edit Region Group or change Region Tolerances.”
(7) Accuracy Analyzer
The calculation time of deviation is dramatically enhanced and there is new option called
Fine Sampling which is located in Deviation Option. If you use this option, XOR will use
more points data when calculation deviation.

(8) Color Bar

(10) SolidWorks Interface
Export to SolidWorks function is enhanced (File > Send To > SolidWorks), The User
Interface is also changed as given in the figure below.
Start From First Feature – XOR sends all entities and histories to SolidWorks.
Resume From Selected Feature – If SolidWorks can not receive XOR history, you can edit
that feature in SolidWorks and resume from selected feature in XOR.
Note
If you fail to send a specific entity, this entity becomes Rollback states. Thus after edit is in
SolidWorks, to resume export to SolidWorks you need to select an entity in the Feature Tree
that you want to send.
Only Selected Entities – You can select entities and send only them to SolidWorks. If you
select this method, you can see an option; Specify Face Or Plane Of Sketch Inside Of
SolidWorks. If you select this option, you can select single sketch in XOR and a selected
plane or planar face in SolidWorks can be used as sketch plane. If you disable this option,
you can select multiple entities and send them to SolidWorks.

(11) Shortcuts
Now you can use shortcuts for selection such as in Photoshop; Select All (Ctrl + A), None
(Ctrl + D), Inverse (Ctrl + Shift + I)

(12) Popup Menu
When you open popup menu on the entity, if an entity is not selected, XOR selects this
entity automatically. In case other entities are selected and you click RMB to open popup
menu on deselected entity, other selections are released.
(13) New Viewing Control Using a Mouse
In the selection mode, you can rotate view by clicking RMB (Right Mouse Button) &
dragging and pan the model by first clicking and holding RMB and then clicking LMB while
holding RMB clicked & dragging. When you zoom in or out using a mouse wheel, zooming
center is usually the center of the screen. But to use the zooming focus as the current
position of the mouse cursor, set Zoom About Mouse Position as True on the General tab
of Preferences (File > Preferences)
(14) Docking Bar
You can insert a docking bar into the other docking bar and when you restart XOR, the
position of docking bar is now remembered.
(15) Preferences
1. There is new button called Default in the Preferences box. This button reset all settings in
preferences.
2. There are some changes made in the string names in the Preferences (File>
Preferences).

When you edit manipulator by dragging a boundary of plane, you can drag over the opposite
boundary.

(19) Virtual Rescan
Now XOR automatically creates a grid set when you perform Virtual Rescan (Tools >
Mesh Tools > Virtual Rescan). There are two types of new grid set; Add Cylindrical
Position and Add Polyhedral Position. Therefore you can easily define a grid set which
covers whole mesh data.

Now some command, Global Remesh, Offset, Thicken and Defeature, in Tools> Mesh

(25) Angle Snap of Tangent Arc
When you create a Tangent Arc in the Sketch mode, angle snap is possible.
(26) Tangent Snap of Line
When you continuously create line from Tangent Arc, you can snap Tangent at the end of
the arc and angle snapping is possible.

While creating the line, if you click “A” button on the keyboard, you can continuously create
a Tangent Arc i.e. the line command automatically changes to tangent arc command for
drawing the next entity and changes back to line command after that without having the user
to manually switch between commands.

(27) Equal Curvature
There is new constraint called Equal Curvature in the Mesh Sketch or Sketch Mode.

(31) Trim
When you trim (Tools > 3D Sketch Tools > Trim) curves with the option Trim Short
Position of Curves which cuts the shorter curve based on intersection, there is new option
called Trim Portion using which user can adjust the portion of curves to be removed by
moving a slider. Therefore you can remove unnecessary curves at the same time.

(32) Boundary Curves
When you create boundary curves in the 3D Mesh Sketch Mode, you can create closed or
split boundary curves separately. Therefore you can create multiple closed boundaries at
the same time.
(33) Match Curve
Now you can match curve with disconnected target entity which is Ref.Vector, Ref.Plane,
Curve, Edge or Face and there is new option called Orthogonal so you can orthogonally
connect selected curve to a selected entity.

(35) Sweep/Loft
You can input single curve as Profile, Path or Guide in the Sweep or Loft command. To
select single curve, you need to turn on the Filter Edges option in the Selection Filter
toolbar.
(36) Loft
While creating loft surface or solid, the guide Marker can be snapped on seam points and
the possible seam points are highlighted in case you select closed curve for Profile.
(37) Surface Sweep
Previously XOR could not create multiple sweep surfaces with a sketch region which
includes inner loops but now it is possible and each loop becomes each surface body.

(38) Cut with a Ref.Plane
When you perform Cut (Insert> Solid> Cut) or Trim (Insert> Surface> Trim), you can use
a Ref.Planes as tool entities. Therefore you can conveniently cut or trim body with a

There are two more options, Delete And Heal and Delete And Fill, when you delete faces

If you use single closed curve with the option Create Single Patch, it can not be filled.
(41) Pattern
Previously you could just flip the direction of pattern using an arrow in the Model View while
performing Linear/Circular/Curve Pattern command. Now you can edit distance or angle
by dragging an arrow in the Model View.
(42) Curve Pattern / Circular Pattern
1. There is new option called Tangent To Curve in the Curve Pattern dialog tree (Insert >
Modeling Feature > Curve Pattern) and you can select a face or mesh for Normal
Reference. Therefore you can create multiple bodies on a curve and these bodies follow
normal of selected face or mesh.

2. There is new option called Rotate Around Axis in the Circular Pattern dialog tree (Insert
> Modeling Feature > Circular Pattern). Therefore you can create multiple circular bodies
without spinning.

(43) Fillet / Chamfer
1. There is new icon called Lock which prevents the dialog tree from closing after getting
done each time. Therefore you can continuously create fillets or chamfers without opening
the dialog tree again.
2. In Fillet or Chamfer operation multiple edges can be selected for filleting or chamfering. In
such case, the criteria for fillet operation to be executed is as follows
• In previous version, when the algorithm confirms that filleting or chamfering operation
CAN be performed on at least one of the selected multiple edges then the fillet or
chamfer command is successful else it fails
• In current version, when the algorithm confirms that filleting or chamfering operation
CANNOT be performed on at least one of the selected edges then the fillet or chamfer
command fails else it’s successful.
(44) Chamfer
When you perform a chamfer command (Insert> Modeling Feature> Chamfer) with
different distances, the algorithm is enhanced.
(45) Primitive
Previously, when you create primitive feature, the created name is listed in the Feature Tree
such as revolve or extrude. Now this name is changed as its own property such as cylinder,
cone, sphere, box or torus.
(46) Warning Status
If there is a Warning in the feature during creating or editing a model, you can not exit until
you solve the problem,
(47) Entity Name
When you create solid or surface body, you can see the sub-name in the Feature Tree
depending on its creating option. For example if you fillet body with Constant option, you can
see Fillet1 (Constant) in the Feature Tree.

(48) Ref.Geometry
When you change a method to create a Ref.Geometry in the dialog tree, XOR changes the
different available Selection Filters automatically. So user can notice possible selection
entities and see the description of selected method on the combo box.
(49) Ref.Polyline
Previously XOR created a Ref.Polyline with the Intersection method between A (mesh,
region or selection) and B (face or body) but now you can select any entity.
Exception:
• XOR does not create a Ref.Polyline between faces in the same body.
• XOR does not create a Ref.Polyline between regions in the same mesh.
(50) Ref.Polyline
Now you can select mesh data to create boundary polyline using Boundary method of
Ref.Polyline (Insert > Ref.Geometry > Polyline).

2. List of Fixed Bugs
(1) File > Capture Screen
When PIP (View > Zoom > PIP) screen is present in the model and File > Capture
Screen was executed, the resulting image comes with a shadow which is not correct.
This bug has been fixed now.
(2) File > Capture Screen
When the image is captured using File > Capture Screen, the shadow of main menu
appears in the captured image. This problem has been fixed now.
(3) Undo does not work correctly
In the Mesh mode, start any command (e.g. Tools > Mesh Tools > Refit). Delete some
poly-faces in mesh. Cancel the existing command. Click Edit > Undo to undo the
deletion of poly-faces. It does not work. This bug has been fixed now.
Go to the Mesh mode. Select poly-vertices or poly-faces which are colored. Delete the
poly-faces/poly-vertices. Click Edit > Undo. This does not work correctly. This bug has
been fixed now.
(4) Copy/Paste operations
Go to the Mesh mode. Copy poly-faces. Paste the selected poly-faces. Delete the copied
poly-faces. If you do similar operations for a number of times, memory leakage happens.
This bug has been fixed now.

(5) Problems in Enlarge for Body
Select a body face or body edge. Use Enlarge command. It does not work correctly. This
problem has been fixed now.
(6) Problem with Edit mode of Numbers
Double click the numbers (for example say dimension) displayed in the view to change it
to the edit mode. Now use Alt + tab to move to the other applications. When you come
back to XOR again, the edit mode of the numbers is terminated.
(7) Problems in the edit controls
Previously, you can use minus (-) in the edit controls in between the numbers, which
must not be allowed. Now you can use minus only before the number (-5), not in
between the numbers (ex: 10-3).
(8) Problems in ProfileView.
When variable fillet is applied to some entity, you can see the profile view in the bottom.
Continuously zoom out the profile view. After some time the profile view appears up side
down. This problem has been fixed now.
(9) Problems in Model tree display
Make a feature for the solid body. The created feature is displayed in both feature tree
and model tree. Now make another feature. The model tree and feature tree are updated
to display the new feature. Now Rollback to the previous feature. The feature in model
tree is not updated. This problem has been fixed now.
(10) No warning message
Create a surface extrude from a sketch. Delete the sketch. There is no warning message
which says that extruded surface also will be deleted. This bug has been fixed now.
(11) Edit control disappear after View > Multiport

When you are in edit mode of edit control (ex: Dimension) and change the view port to a
multi port, the edit widget disappears unlike the previous version of rapidformXOR.
(12) Tools > Mesh Tools > Refit
Previously, when one or more holes were present in mesh data, creating surface using
Tools > Mesh Tools > Refit will make the surface in a bad shape because of the bad
mesh data around the holes. This bug has been fixed now.
(13) Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate
Using the command Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate sometimes crashes. This problem
has been fixed now.
(14) Problems in Enlarge, Shrink commands
Go to the Mesh mode. Select the region filter. Select the region. When the Poly-Face
filter is enabled, select some poly-faces. Use Enlarge or Shrink commands. This does
not work correctly. This problem has been fixed now.
(15) Problems in Angular Dimension
When you define the angular dimension between two lines, and if you move the lines left
and right, the angular dimension appears very strangely. This problem has been fixed
now.
(16) Application Crash
Go to the Region mode. Click Auto Segment to auto segment the region. Go to the
Mesh mode and remove some poly-faces. Now click Tools > Mesh Tools > Global
Remesh. The application crashes. This bug has been fixed now.
(17) Sketch grid not in center
In Mesh Sketch mode, in the mesh sketch setup when rotational method was selected to
create the section, the sketch grid is not in center. This problem has been fixed now.

(18) Cannot select manipulator
Go to Mesh Sketch mode. In the sketch set up, select the method as rotational method.
It is not possible to select the manipulator and move. This bug has been fixed now.
(19) Tools > 3D Sketch Entities > Section
In Tools > 3D Sketch Entities > Section command select the option as Select Plane.
Cancel the command. Now restart the section command again. Base Planes could not be
selected. This problem has been fixed now.
(20) Surface Extrude and Undo
Create a surface extrude from a sketch. Delete the sketch. Click Edit > Undo to undo the
last operation. Undo does not work. This bug has been fixed.
(21) Insert > Solid > Hollow
In Insert > Solid > Hollow command, enable Multi-Thickness Faces option. Select
multiple faces. Now remove the selected faces and disable the option. User is not able to
select the first face that is selected. This problem has been fixed now.
(22) Tools > Mesh Tools > Decimate
Large Data Mode option should be enabled for large data meshes. Even the mesh is
large, this option is disabled some times. This bug has been fixed now.
(23) Insert > Solid > Thicken
Import a solid/surface body through IGES file format. Apply Thicken command using
Insert > Solid > Thicken. Delete the solid body after thicken. There is no error message
displayed. This problem has been fixed now.
(24) Insert > Modeling Feature > Move Face.

When this command is executed, faces appear in feature tree. But the direction entity is
not displayed. This problem has been fixed now.
(25) Problem in model tree after extrude cut
Click Insert > Solid > Cut to cut the selected body. Complete the Cut command. The
new feature cut is not displayed in model tree. This problem has been fixed now.
(26) Insert > Solid > Cut
Click Insert > Solid > Cut. Select target bodies to cut and select a remaining body. The
model might appear strange. This problem has been fixed now.
(27) Memory leak in Loft, Trim and Merge Feature
When Loft, Trim and Merge Feature are used for solid/surface, the memory usage
increases. This leads to a memory leak. This bug has been fixed now.
(28) Problems in Fillet
When you apply fillet to the faces in the model, delete base face after filleting. The
application crashes. This problem has been fixed now.
(29) Fillet for unselected edges.
Some times when you apply fillet to some edges, the fillet is applied to some unselected
edges also. This problem has been fixed now.
(30) Accuracy Analyzer – Color
When Color is changed in Accuracy Analyzer, the change in color is not updated
immediately. You have to close Accuracy Analyzer window and restart to see the effect.
This problem has been fixed now.
(31) Accuracy Analyzer – Options not saved.

When you are in accuracy analyzer and change the options like Continuity. Save XOR
file and exit. This change is not reflected when you reopen XOR. This bug has been fixed
now.
(32) Insert > Surface > Mesh Fit / Boundary Fit
Make a body using Insert > Surface > Mesh Fit or Insert > Surface > Boundary Fit.
Execute Edit > rebuild, Undo and Redo, Roll back, Roll Forward number of times. A
memory leakage might happen. This bug has been fixed now.
(33) Problem with floating tree window
Keep the Feature tree view in floating condition. Terminate XOR and restart it again.
There is no response and CPU slows down. This bug has been fixed now.
(34) Insert > Solid > Hollow
Execute Insert > Solid > Hollow command. Select the body. Now the Cancel button is
inactivated after selecting the body. This problem has been fixed now.
(35) Insert > Solid > Loft
In Insert > Solid > Loft function, if the guide marker is behind the sketch region, guide
marker cannot be selected. This problem has been fixed now.
(36) Insert > Solid > Loft
In Insert > Solid > Loft, change the End Constraint to Direction Vector. Turn off the
option Use Same Tangent Length To All Vertices. Change the End Constraint to None.
Change it again to Direction Vector. Tangent Length option is disabled even though the
Use Same Tangent Length To All Vertices option is enabled. This bug has been fixed
now.
(37) Insert > Solid > Loft

If the Constraint is selected as direction vector then only the widget should be displayed.
But the widget is displayed even before selecting the constraint as direction vector. This
problem has been fixed now.
(38) Insert > Solid > Thicken
In mesh mode, for Insert > Solid > thicken command, same result is achieved for both
Direction1 and Direction 2. This bug has been fixed now.
(39) 3ds Exporting
When you export several mesh data as 3ds format and import it into rapidformXOR again,
the application might crash. This bug has been fixed now.
(40) Accuracy Analyzer
Even you change feature in the Feature Tree, the changed entity is not applied in
Accuracy Analyzer. Therefore you can not change Disable to Enable in the Accuracy
Analyzer bar. This bug has been fixed now.
(41) Sketch Option
While you select a Sketch entity in the Sketch or Mesh Sketch mode, Enable Snap and
Enable Polyline Snap become disable. This bug has been fixed now.
(42) xrl Open
When you open xrl file which includes Ref.Geometry with parents, these parents are not
registered at the sub-location of Ref.Geometry. This bug has been fixed now.
(43) Ref.Geometry from Extract Method
When you edit Ref.Geometry which is created by the Extract method, the display of fitting
points does not disappeared. This bug has been fixed now.

(44) Sketch Entity from Body Point
When you create entities snap on body point or convert body point, these entities are not
updated. This bug has been fixed now.
(45) Mouse Cursor
Occasionally an icon of mouse cursor is not changed correctly when you move a mouse
from zoom pip window to menu bar. This bug has been fixed now.
