WHAT’S YOUR SKIN TYPE?
STEP 1 Wash your face
• Wash with a gentle cleanser and pat dry
• Remove make-up• This cleans away oils
and dirt that may have accumulated
STEP 2 Wait an hour
• During this time, your skin should return to its natural state, the characteristics of which will determine your skin type
• Act normally and don't touch your face
STEP 3 Dab your face with a tissue
• Pay attention to the 'T-zone’ - the area of your forehead and nose
STEP 4 Determine your skin type
• Normal skin shows neither oil nor flaking. It should feel supple and smooth
• Oily skin is has grease on the tissue
• Dry skin may feel taut or flaky
• Combination skin typically means the T-zone is oily and normal/dry elsewhere
STEP 5 Know your other problemsThere are usually two 'problem' categories that your skin may fall under:• Sensitive skin: your face
reacts easily to regular skin products (get red/itchy)
• Acne-Prone skin: more common in those with oily skin.
