Faith Promise begins this year with our Red Letter Missions Dinner on November 5th in anticipation of our covenants coming in on November 13th. If you are not familiar with this part of our Wheatland cul-ture, here it is in a cliff note version. We believe that God answersprayerspecifically.Weaskthateachmemberofthechurch pray “lord, what amount of money would you give me in 2012 for the purposes of local and global missions that you would not give for my own needs?”

Over the course of these couple of weeks we individually and then collectively come to a prayerfully led commit-ment. The church then asks for each family to submit those commitments to God so we can total them. Afterward, we return them without cataloging who committed what. It is between the person or family and God.

Wheatland Salem just manages the process by receiving the total and prayerfully discerns which missions God is asking us to bless. WSC then distributes the funds as they come to the church. You or your family’s role is to faithfully follow through as God blesses you throughout the year unexpectedly. By doing so, the process develops our personal partnership in the mission of God, by the confession of availability of God’s resources while crystalizing our responsibility as a manager of the resources God so freely provides.

We are a group of moms of all ages, all walks of life, Christian faith, and even moms who are just interested in learning about the Chris-tian faith. The goal of this Moms’ Group is to uplift, encourage, and connect with each other and our children. Our vision is to share inspiration, support and friendship through the glory of Jesus Christ. We want to support one another in our journey through motherhood.
