Gratitude …………….. A Great Attitude ‘Being thankful is a step towards a happy and healthy life.’ All of us have read the story ‘King Midas and The Golden Touch’ and we probably think it is cautionary tale about greed, which it is, of course. After all King Midas believes he can never have too much gold. But once his food and daughter have suffered from alchemy, he realizes he is wrong. ‘King Midas and The Golden Touch’ is also a story about gratitude and appreciation. Midas does not realize what is really important to him until he loses it. Once he has rid himself of golden touch, he appreciates not just his wonderful daughter but also the simple treasure of life like cold water, bread and butter. So is with us as well. We never show gratitude to what we have. It’s not a formality to say ‘Thank-you’ but an attitude, an emotion that relates to our ability to feel and express thankfulness and appreciation towards what we do have. It could be your parents, friends, family, teachers or the school you are privilege to be a part of. It can be even a place you have visited. „„The best things in life are not only free they are mostly invisible.‟‟ Gratitude expands you, it opens you, it ushers you into the momentry state of peace, happiness and contentment. It brings you at your height. So, is the power of gratitude. We must be positive to acknowledge the good things that are happening to us and to verbalise to what we are grateful for. Feel thankful to your parents, to your teachers to everyone you meet because they have made you better than before in some way or other. Keep your gratitude journal by your bedside and each night, list 3-5 positive experiences from the day. Say ‘Thank You’ often particularly to those who serve you. Express gratitude at meals. Write down what you appreciate about yourself. Think what you are grateful for each morning. “If the only prayer you say in your life is „Thank you‟ that would be suffice.RPS School shows gratitude to our parents and students For showing faith in us For guiding and motivating us For their feedbacks For walking hand in hand with us to built a better nation When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost Count your many blessings, name them one by one And it will surprise you, what the lord has done.

  • Gratitude …………….. A Great Attitude

‘Being thankful is a step towards a happy and healthy life.’

All of us have read the story ‘King Midas and The Golden

Touch’ and we probably think it is cautionary tale about

greed, which it is, of course. After all King Midas believes he

can never have too much gold. But once his food and

daughter have suffered from alchemy, he realizes he is

    wrong.

‘King Midas and The Golden Touch’ is also a story about

gratitude and appreciation. Midas does not realize what is

really important to him until he loses it. Once he has rid

himself of golden touch, he appreciates not just his

wonderful daughter but also the simple treasure of life like

    cold water, bread and butter.

So is with us as well. We never show gratitude to what we

    have.

It’s not a formality to say ‘Thank-you’ but an attitude, an

emotion that relates to our ability to feel and express

thankfulness and appreciation towards what we do have.

It could be your parents, friends, family, teachers or the

school you are privilege to be a part of. It can be even a

    place you have visited.

„„The best things in life are not only free they are mostly

    invisible.‟‟

Gratitude expands you, it opens you, it ushers you into the

momentry state of peace, happiness and contentment. It

    brings you at your height.

So, is the power of gratitude.

We must be positive to acknowledge the good things that

are happening to us and to verbalise to what we are

grateful for. Feel thankful to your parents, to your teachers

to everyone you meet because they have made you

better than before in some way or other.

Keep your gratitude journal by your bedside and each

night, list 3-5 positive experiences from the day.

Say ‘Thank You’ often particularly to those who serve you.

    Express gratitude at meals.

Write down what you appreciate about yourself.

Think what you are grateful for each morning.

“If the only prayer you say in your life is „Thank you‟ that

    would be suffice.”

    RPS School shows gratitude

    to our parents and students

    For showing faith in us

    For guiding and

    motivating us

    For their feedbacks

    For walking hand in hand

with us to built a better

    nation

    When upon life’s

    billows you are

    tempest tossed

    When you are

    discouraged,

    thinking all is lost

    Count your many

    blessings, name

    them one by one

    And it will surprise

    you, what the lord

    has done.

  • Dear Students

Welcome Back! I hope all of you had fine vacation. Vacations provide us with ample time to reflect on where we have been and where we are heading. We provide safe and intellectually challenging environment to empower you to become innovative thinker and make you well prepared to thrive in 21st century. My unflinching belief has always been that one who finds pleasure in diligent, dedicated and disciplined life reaps a bountiful future in form of divine satisfaction. As you know general elections were held in our country from April to May and contributed the seventeenth Lok Sabha. After the fierce contest of election, we have among us a new Cabinet of Minister to govern our country. I hope that the newly appointed government will lead our country to international portal. We are celebrating our 73rd Independence Day on upcoming 15th August. Let’s pay our tribute to all the freedom fighters and heroes of Mother India by doing our best in all spheres of life. As a student you come to school to learn so that you can serve the country better by inculcating the habits of discipline, honesty, obedience and moral values. With knowledge and kindness in heart, do something for the country. Do something for less fortunate people who have never had the same chance as you. Make your education meaningful. Come to learn, go to serve. Happy Independence Day. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.

    Independence Day

Independence Day is annually celebrated on

15th August as red letter day in India to

    commemorate the nation struggle and

immolation of our mighty freedom fighters.

Every year on this day the Prime Minister

addresses the nation from the ramparts of

Red Fort. The speech reveals the priorities,

the passions, the concerns and the

challenges of our present and future. Flag

    hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs

are held in the state capitals involving many

schools and organizations. People do kite

flying and sing patriotic songs. Krishan Janamashtmi: - It is

    also known as Gokulashtmi.

    We celebrate the birth of

    Krishna, the eighth Avtar of

Vishnu. It is a major festival

    celebrated with fasts, vigil,

    reaction of scriptures and

    prayers. In Maharashtra it is

    celebrated as Dahi Handi.

Raksha Bandhan : - A brother’s tie with his sister

is accounted very close. This festival celebrates the

love and duty between brothers and sisters. It

offers every man the excellent view to consider

every lady a sister. One should celebrate this sacred

festival with great enthusiasm and fidelity.

    Hartalika Teej welcomes

    the Monsoon season and

    is dedicated to Goddess

    Parvati and her union

    with Lord Shiva. We

    celebrate it by flying

    kite, making special

    sweet dishes (Ghewar).
