Position Summary

The Whiting Forest Café Associate will serve as an integral part of a team that provides the highest

level of customer service for guests of all ages and abilities. The successful candidate will be

responsible for assisting the Whiting Forest Café Manager in fostering a positive environment for both

customers and sta� while overseeing day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in the Whiting Forest point-of-sale system

• Promote and practice safe work habits by identifying and resolving potential hazards

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and Café environment

• Monitor and maintain daily inventory of supplies, place orders, and oversee delivery of product

• 1-2 years of food service management experience

• ServSafe, First Aid/CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens certification (training provided as necessary)

• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and special events as needed

• This position will require frequent standing, and candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs

• Experience working with public

• Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Cash handling experience and experience with Point of Sale systems

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
