Dakota State University is a leading institution in
cybersecurity research and education. DSU holds
three prestigious designations from the National
Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) as National Centers of
Academic Excellence (CAE) in cyber defense, research
and cyber operations. DSU is also one of four CAE
Regional Resource Centers (CRRCs) in the nation.
REU participants will be hosted in the Beacom College
of Computer and Cyber Sciences. The college
currently offers four undergraduate programs, i.e.,
computer science, cyber operations, network security
and administration, and computer game design, two
master’s programs, i.e., Master of Science in
Computer Science and Master of Science in Cyber
Defense, and two doctoral programs, i.e., Doctoral of
Philosophy in Cyber Operations and Doctor of
Philosophy in Cyber Defense.

Our Mission & Vision
This Research Experiences forUndergraduates (REU) program providesundergraduate students with front-linecybersecurity research experiences inInternet of Things (IoT) funded by theNational Science Foundation. The REU sitewill host 10 students on DSU's campus toparticipate in a 10 weeks summerprogram.

Eligibility
Participant must be currently enrolled inprograms leading to a baccalaureate orassociate degree (Full-time or part-time)Participant must be U.S citizen, U.Snationals, or permanent residents of theUnited StatesParticipant must complete a minimum 15credit hours above the 100 level courses incomputer science or cybersecurity
