July 6, 7, 8, 26, 27, 28, 29 Aesop’s (Oh So Slightly) Updated Fables Hannah Chawla______________________________________________ is 14 years old and will be attending Suffield High School in the Fall. She has been dancing for 11 years and competes on the dance team for Suffield Performing Art Center. Her other interests include running, swim- ming, fashion and hanging out with friends. She loves her cell phone and Netflix. At the moment her dream is to attend Parsons School of Design in New York City to study Fashion and Merchandising. I am so excited to be a part of The Jungle Book! I would like to thank my Dad for encouraging me to audition for this play and my Mom for supporting me always. Neena Chawla_____________________________________________ will be turning 11 this August. In the fall she will be attending Suffield Middle School, entering into 6th grade. She has been playing travel soccer for three years and loves playing! Gymnastics and swimming are also activities she enjoys and going to Cape Cod in the summer has always been one of her favorite things to do. She loves animals and has two dogs named Caleb and Pheobe. She recently adopted two guinea pigs named Lucy and Maggie. When she grows up she would like to be an orthodontist. I would like to thank my Dad and Mom for always encouraging me. I love them so much! Cassie Cloutier____________________________________________ is thrilled to be back for her third summer season with the Majestic! A recent graduate from Minnechaug Regional High School, she is heading to Marymount Manhattan College in the Fall to study acting. She has performed in several local shows with various community groups around Western Massachusetts. Some of her favorite roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Liesl in The Sound of Music. Cassie has been dancing for fifteen years, study- ing ballet, pointe, modern, and jazz. She also studies voice with Devon Bakum. She would like to thank her family for their never-ending support. Amy Roberts-Crawford (Musical Director) has an extensive back- ground in music directing and accompanying throughout New England as well as MD and Washington, DC. Some Majestic Theater credits include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Fanta- sticks. This is her fifth season with MCT. She is a private piano instruc- tor, conducts children’s musical theater workshops, and accompanies the chorus at the Greenfield Community College as well as the choir at the First Congregational Church in Ashfield, MA where she is the organist. Amy studied sociology and music at Keene State College and currently resides in Shelburne Falls, MA with her three children. Nicholas Cummings________________________________________ is a recent graduate from Springfield Central High School. In the Fall, he will be attending UMASS Amherst with plans to double major in Computer Science and Theatre, so he can pursue both his career and his passion. Past shows include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo & Juliet, and The Tempest with Shakespeare & Company and school musicals Hairspray and The Sound of Music. I would like to thank the Majestic for allowing me to partake in their Children’s Summer Theater. I would also like to thank all the teachers, friends, and family who helped fuel my love for theatre. Oh, and one last thing, Hi Mom! Rocco G. Desgres _____________________________________________ is an upcoming 10th grader at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School (P.V.P.A). He loves theater and his fondest memories always have to do with the stage. This is Rocco’s second year at the Majestic Theater, having played in last year’s productions of Pinocchio, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Hansel And Gretel. His P.V.P.A productions in- clude Dearly Departed, Big Love, and Café Le Monde, which proceed to the preliminary round of the M.E.T.G. festival this year. He performed in Goldilocks and the Three Bears: An Epic, The Fairy’s Mistake, and Strange Love In Outer Space at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. He also starred in the short film The Hair Cut. Rocco would like to thank the Majestic Theater for yet an- other fantastic opportunity of wonderful theater, and hopes you enjoy the show! Aesop’s (Oh So Slightly) Updated Fables Jake Engram (Tech Assist. / Backstage Crew)is more than honored to be a part of these shows. He has been active in Children’s theater for years. Jake has worked with both PVPA’s Children’s theater and Paint Box Theatre. He also works at the Majestic Theater as a Lighting Technician and occasional Stage Hand.

Caelie Flanagan____________________________________________is ecstatic to be returning for her second summer with MCT! She just completed a wonderful whirlwind of a sophomore year at Suffield High School, where she was blessed with the chance to portray “Sister” Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet and Dulcinea in Man of la Mancha. Other highlights from this year have included participating in Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble, serving as an anchor on SHS’s televised morning announcements, becoming drum major for the marching band and taking up the baritone horn! Caelie also performed with “Around Town Singers

and Orchestra” for her third year, having as much fun as ever. Extraneous fun fact: Caelie still loves singing, musical theater, and anything Julie Andrews. “Hi!” to Sarah & Adam and love to brothers Jack, Christian, and Joshua!

Madi Hartling _____________________________________________This is Madi’s first time performing with The Majestic and she couldn’t be more excited to be here. She has also worked with the Starlight Youth Theater many times and played Rumpleteazer last spring in Cats. She had her first dramatic lead over the winter with The Exit 7 Players as Shashi in Webbed Hands. She recently was in High School Musical with Black Cat Theatre as Taylor McKessie. Madi has been singing since age 9 and has had the honor of singing the National Anthem for many sports teams as a soloist. She was able to hold her first solo

concert last summer as part of the Monson Outdoor Concert Series. Madi was also the grand finale winner of the Open Mic Competition at the Majestic Theater last summer.

Emery Henderson __________________________________________ is very happy to be back at MCT for her third season. Previous roles with MCT include Thumbelina in Tiny Thumbelina, The Blue Fairy in Pinocchio, Fox Daughter in Fantastic Mr. Fox, and The Cruel Step-mother in Hansel & Gretel. Also this summer, Emery will portray young Emily at The Emily Dickinson Museum and sing with the Dan Kane Singers. She will start her junior year at Northampton High School in September. She’d like to give her love and thanks to her Mom and Dad, Stephen, Abby, Nicki, Elliot, and Nina.

Dan Kelly________________________________________________ is 16, and will be a Junior at East Longmeadow High School. He’s glad to be back for his second year with MCT. Last year, he played Mr. Fox in Fantastic Mr. Fox, Cricket in Pinocchio, and Father in Hansel and Gretel. Dan has been acting since 2011. Other roles include: Ryan in High School Musical, Hugo in Bye Bye Birdie, Sonny/Teen Angel in Grease, and Plato in Rebel Without a Cause, among others. Dan studies theatre at The Drama Studio in Springfield, where he has

performed standup comedy and various scenes during their annual Cabaret. Enjoy the show!

Nicki Meldonian (Assistant Stage Manager)is so excited to be a part of MCT for the sixth year in a row. You may have seen Nicki most recently on stage at the Majestic as Myrtle Mae in Harvey. She currently is studying Music at Holyoke Community College and plans on transferring to Anna Maria to obtain her degree in Music Therapy. Pass it on.

The Velveteen Rabbit

Stephen Petit (Director) feels very blessed and grateful to return for a third summer as director of this wonderful program. He has been part of the Majestic family for twelve years now, from playing Jay in 2003’s Lost in Yonkers to taking over as Production Manager in 2013. He is a graduate of Westfield State University with a BA in Literature, as well as certifications to teach English (8 - 12) and Theater (K - 12). He also writes the script for one show per season, which include adaptations of Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio, and this summer’s The Jungle Book. Past work at the

Majestic includes, as Stage Manager: MCT 2010 - 2012, Stick Fly, Educating Rita, Next to Normal, Harvey, Iris, and The Last Five Years; as Assistant Stage Manager: Bus Stop, Al-most Maine, The Fantasticks, The 39 Steps, Skin Deep, and 33 Variations; as Actor: Hero in A Funny Thing...Forum, Benjamin in The Graduate, and Chip in Spelling Bee. Many thanks to Danny, Rachel, Meghan, Aurora, Chris, Craig, Josiah, Jake, Abby, Nicki, Andrew, and always, Van Farrier and Lexy Stopa.

Giuseppe Santaniello_______________________________________ is 15 years old and going into his sophomore year at Central High School in Springfield, where he loves to play volleyball and recently made his acting debut as Moonbeam in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He also has been playing the piano for 8 years. Thanks to Mom, Nana, Terry, Aunti Fil, and Grandma.

Anirudh Sharma___________________________________________ is 7 years old and he is very excited to be in his very first play, portray-ing the iconic character of Mowgli in The Jungle Book. He will be going into the 3rd grade in the Fall at Coburn Elementary School here in West Springfield. Many thanks to his Mom and Dad and everyone here at the Majestic.

Olivia Taylor______________________________________________ is 12 years old, and lives in Suffield, Connecticut. She just finished 6th grade at Suffield Middle School. Olivia is involved in dance, gym-nastics, horseback riding, 4-H, and Girl Scouts. Some of her interests include swimming, writing scripts, sewing, and the culinary arts. Theater productions Olivia has been in include: The Sound of Music, playing the part of Gretl at Suffield Middle School; Seussical, playing the part of a Who at The Red Door Theater, in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts; and Doo-Wop Wed Widing Hood, playing the part of a Narrator at Cirillo

Summer Theatre, Jr. Division at LP Wilson Community Center in Windsor, Connecticut. She also has performed in the Northern Regional Music Festival, in New Britain, Connecti-cut. Olivia would like to thank her parents and all her family members for their support. Olivia is thrilled be with The Majestic Children’s Theater this summer!

Joshua True_______________________________________________ This is Josh’s 2nd Summer with the Majestic Children’s Theater, and he is so excited to be a part of it again! Josh loves the stage, and has enjoyed being a part of both his Elementary School and Middle School’s drama club! A few of his favorite parts that he has played so far are “Mortimer” in Cinderella’s Glass Slipper, “Harvey Johnson” in Bye Bye Birdie, and “Pinocchio” in Pinocchio last summer at the Majestic!

Abigail Wang (Stage Manager) This is Abby’s fourth year with MCT, and she is happy to be back! She is a rising sophomore at New York Uni-versity, where she studies Theatre Production and Design with focuses in Lighting Design and Stage Management. Of the shows she has worked on, some of her favorites include Suffield Academy’s August: Osage County (Lighting Designer, Stage Manager), the Majestic’s Blood Brothers (En-semble, Crew), and NYU Stagework’s Dogville (Assistant Stage Manager). Upcoming projects include NYU Stagework’s The Golem (Assistant Light-

ing Designer) and Rent (Stage Manager). Abby would like to thank everyone at the Majestic for helping her realize her love for theater, and her family and friends for their unending support.
