Convincing people of the need to be prepared for an emergency before it occurs is often difficult, particularly if they have never experienced a major disaster or traumatic event. Unfortunately the human condition requires that personal experience is required before the need is clearly understood.

YOUR ROLE• Involve yourself in any WHS instruction or

undertaking to your ability• Ensure that you can interact with UNE Safety

Hub and use any of the templates required• Follow all WHS instruction, including being

familiar with the Emergency preparedness for your area

• Report and act on a Hazard in your workplace• Support your Health & Safety Rep (HSR) with

any endeavour or suggestion• Download the UNE SAFETY APP and stay

informed

What happens next…

• Your Head of Department or delegate will induct you to your specific area

• A Safety induction link will be sent to your email and invite you to enrol and undertake a WHS induction

• Please confirm and undertake immediately. This will be added to your training records.
