What is Gangnam?

• Gangnam is an upper scale down town district of Seoul, home to many fancy shops, restaurants and of course clubs. It houses temples, large shopping malls, world famous designer brands, and VR! It is also the home of Psy's Gangnam style. Truly a completely different world from the rest of Seoul. Whether your admiring beautiful architecture or art, staring at the sprawling sky scrapers, lighting it up at a shooting range, or dancing the night away Gangnam never sleeps!

How do you get there?

1. Walk to Heukseok Station (Line 9/Brown line)

a. Front Gate subway line

2. Ride Line 9 for Four stops and get off at Express Bus Terminal (line 3/line Orange)

3. From Express Bus Terminal ride (line 3/orange line) for 1 stop south to Seoul National Univ. of Education (Line 2/Green Line)

4. From Seoul National Univ. of Education take 1 stop east to Gangnam Station

What is it?

VR is pretty cool, but do you know what makes it better, having machines that simulate actual motion. There is a ski game where you’re on actual skis. A Mario Kart game where you sit in a actual go kart. If you slip on a banana peel your kart will shake. To use items and hit other players you physically need to move your hands. If you want items, you need to reach for them!

The Games!

• There are several shootings games where you need to physically run if you want to move in game. To move your player, you need to duck in cover, mover around and more. Pilot a giant mech and fight off a monster! There is also a VR interactive horror room and escape room experience. Escape rooms are fun, but a VR escape room is even more fun and even more immersive

But you also have Kakao friends on the main strip of Gangnam to explore. There are also various clubs all over the district to check out! Shooting ranges, to arcades, Gashapon to bow and arrows there is a lot to do in Gangnam. And let’s not forget all the amazing food you can find at Gangnam.
