Financial Assistance

RSY-Netzer strongly believes that our young people should have the opportunity to take part in our events and we strive to support this in every way we can. Financial assistance is available through Reform Judaism to applicants who can’t meet the full cost of the programme.

Reform Judaism aims to offer young people the opportunity to take part in Shemesh through financial assistance funds that will assist individuals as far as possible based on a means tested process. There is complete confidentiality throughout the process and the identities of the recipients of financial assistance remain anonymous.

If you are in a financial situation where you are unable to afford the full cost of the programme please tick the appropriate box on the online Enrolment Form. RSY-Netzer will then contact you with details on how to apply for financial assistance.

If you are applying for financial assistance you will still be asked to pay the £275 deposit. Financial assistance must be applied for by 2 March 2018. Applications received after this date may not be considered. We are sorry that we can’t accept late applications as once our fund has been allocated it is then closed for the year. This will enable us to best provide for your child.

RSY-Netzer is all about immersing yourself in an exciting Jewish environment, being empowered, and making lifelong friends. We are an inclusive youth movement that takes a fun, modern approach to Judaism and informal education in a safe, supportive environment.

We aim to inspire and empower you through innovative, engaging learning and informed decision making within our Reform community. We do this through living out our key values of Reform Judaism, Reform Zionism, Tikkun Olam (social action) and Livluv (personal development).

RSY-Netzer is the youth movement for Reform Judaism in the UK and has been around for more than 30 years. Every year over 1000 young Jewish people experience our welcoming and exciting Jewish community.

Communication

In the run up to Shemesh we provide parents with all the details about camp by email and further details are available on our website. In June there will be Parents’ Information Evenings in London, Manchester and Leeds. In early July, we will send an information email detailing travel arrangements, kit list, contact details plus additional information that may be required. Before camp, you will be given an emergency number, which will be available 24/7. During camp, we aim to tweet pictures so that you can keep up to date. This is dependent on an adequate wifi signal on camp.

To sign up go to www.rsy-netzer.org.uk/shemesh-summer-camp or for more information speak to Alyson Joseph on 020 8349 5666
